OFUDESAKI/ CHAPTER 8 /1875
Nichinichi ni Tsukihi zannen yamayama to
Tsumorite aru o harashitai kara 8-1
The mountainous regret of God piles up day by day (due to the dust accumulating in the minds of mankind),
to clear it away is my desire.
Kono hanashi Tsukihi omowaku dandan to
Nanika yorozu no tasuke naru no wa 8-2
This talk, given step by step is about the intention of God,
to bring forth universal salvation.
Shinjitsu no kokoro shidai ni dono yona
Tsutome suru no mo mina tasuke ya de 8-3
If the mind is sincere (purity of mind), whatever
service done, will all bring salvation (sweeping evil).
Tsukihi niwa sekaiju wa mina waga ko
Tasuketai to no kokoro bakari de 8-4
To God, all of you throughout the world are my children. My only desire is to save you (everyone becomes spirited).
Sono tokoro sashitome rarete zannen na
Mada sono nochi wa toriharai made 8-5
That place they prohibited it to Gods regret.
Still afterwards they attempted to demolish it.
Soreyori ni Tasuke zutome ga deken kara
Tsukihi no kokoro nanto zannen 8-6
Because of this, the salvation service (Joyous Service) cannot be performed.
Oh, the regret in the mind of God.
Tsutome demo Tsukihi dandan te o oshie
Ningen naru no kokoro dewa nai 8-7
As for the Service, God will step by step teach you the hand movements
It is not from a human mind.
Kono yona koto o suru no mo ningen no
kokoro aru towa sarani omouna 8-8
Whatever I may do,
never think that it is from the human mind.
Kono tokoro ikana hanashi mo Tsukihi nari
Donna moyo mo mina Tsukihi ya de 8-9
At this place, any talk is by God
and any preparation is by God.
Ika naru no sawari tsuitemo ningen no
Kokoro wa sarani aru to omouna 8-10
Whatever disorder (guidance/illness) may come to you,
never think that it is from the human mind.
Kono yo o hajime dashitaru Tsukihi nara
Donna koto demo shiranu koto nashi 8-11
Since it is God who began this world,
there is nothing unknown to me.
Sekaiju ichiretsu naru no mune no uchi
Tsukihi no ho e mina utsuru nari 8-12
The innermost heart of everyone in the world
is all reflected to God.
Sore shirazu mina ningen no kokoro tote
Waga mi shiyan o bakari omote 8-13
Unaware of this, everyone uses the human mind
and has only self centered thoughts.
Konosaki wa mina dandan to shinjitsu no
Michi o oshieru koto de aru kara 8-14
Hereafter, I shall teach everyone
about the true path step by step.
Kono yo no hajjimari dashi wa Tsukihi nari
Nanika isai o mina oshiekake 8-15
The beginning of this world was by God.
I began to teach everything fully in detail.
Soremade wa tare ka shiritaru mono wa nashi
Nanika Tsukihi no shiyan bakari de 8-16
Until then, there was no one who knew.
There were only the thoughts of God.
Kyomade mo nani yono koto mo Tsukihi ya to
Yute aredomo mada wakaran de 8-17
Even until today, I have been telling you that everything
is by God, but still you do not understand (even the bad things that occur, God lets it occur).
Shikato kike kono yo hajimeta shinjitsu to
Yute hanashi wa toite aredomo 8-18
Listen, though I have already told you
the truth of my beginning of this world.
Sekai niwa tare ka shiritaru mono wa nashi
Nani o yutemo wakari gatanai 8-19
There is no one in the world who knows.
Whatever I say is difficult for you to understand.
Sono hazu ya kono yo hajimeta nai koto o
Dandan kudoki bakari naru kara 8-20
So should it be, for it is solely about things unknown since
this world began, told repeatedly step by step.
Kono yo no hajimari dashi no shinjitsu o
Shirashite okwan koto ni oite wa 8-21
I must have you know the truth
about the instruments of the beginning of the world.
Imamade mo tasuke ichijo to mama tokedo
Honshinjitsu o shiranu koto kara 8-22
Even until now, I have often taught about my single intent to
save you, but you have not known the real truth.
Dono yona koto demo Tsukihi yu koto ya
Kore shinjitsu to omote kiku nara 8-23
Whatever I say, it is the words of God.
If only you would listen to my words as the truth.
Dono yona koto mo dandan yute kikasu
Kore o makoto to omote kikiwake 8-24
I shall tell you everything step by step.
Listen to my words and understand them to be true.
Kono yo no honmoto naru to yu no wa na
Kono tokoro yori hoka ni arumai 8-25
There is nowhere but this place
that can be called the true becoming origin (mankind was started here).
Kono hanashi doyu koto ni omou kana
Doyu hanashi mo mina shitai kara 8-26

It is from my desire to teach you all about everything.
Kono yo o hajime dashitaru shinjitsu o
Mina ichiretsu wa shochi seneba 8-27
All of you must be ponder of the truth
about the beginning of the world.
Dono yona tasuke suru nimo hitonami no
Yu naru koto wa yu de nai kara 8-28
What ever salvation I do is not ordinary.
What ever I will say has never been spoken.
Imamade ni mietaru koto ya aru koto wa
Sonna koto owa yu de nai zo ya 8-29
I do not speak of things already seen
or things that already exist.
Koremade ni nai koto bakari yute kikashi
Shinjitsu yori no tasuke suru zo ya 8-30
I shall teach you only of things that have not existed before
and bring upon true salvation.
Kono tasuke doyu koto ni omou kana
Hoso sen yono Mamori koshirae 8-31
What do you think this salvation is about?
I am making the protection from smallpox.
Mata tasuke obiya juyo itsu nari to
Nobashi nari tomo hayame nari tomo 8-32
Another salvation is my free and unlimited workings
for the time of childbirth, either to delay or to quicken.
Kora hodono juyojizai o yu no mo na
Yoi naru koto to sarani omouna 8-33
About these free and unlimited working of which I speak,
do not think of them as being trivial (one must have true sincerity to receive these blessings).
Tsukihi niwa taite kokoro wa tsukuse domo
Sekaiju wa mada sekainami 8-34
Though God is doing the utmost,
everyone in the world continues to be ordinary.
Kono yo o hajime dashitaru honshin o
Yute kikasan koto ni oite wa 8-35
I must have you know
my true intent in beginning this world.
Kono tokoro Tsutome basho wa ningen o
Hajime dashitaru tokoro naru zo ya 8-36
This place, the place for the service,
is the very place where I began human beings.
Ningen o hajime dashitaru kono Oya wa
Zonmee de iru kore ga makoto ya 8-37
This parent, who began human beings, lives.
This is the truth (Oyasama living).
Kono hanashi kore o makoto ni omou mono
Doko no mono demo sarani arumai 8-38
There is perhaps no one anywhere
who believes this talk to be the truth.
Kono yona nai koto bakari yu no wa na
Kore ga shinjitsu mina makoto ya de 8-39
Though I speak in this way about things which do not exist,
it is all the real truth.
Imamade mo nai sekai oba hajimeta wa
Shiranu koto oba oshie hajimete 8-40
Even until now, when I began this world which did not exist,
I began by teaching things unknown.
Konotabi mo mata nai koto ya shiranu koto
Bakari yuute mata oshiekake 8-41
This time also, I begin to teach again, speaking only of
things which do not exist and things unknown.
Dono yona mono demo shiranu koto bakari
Kore o oshieru Tsukihi omowaku 8-42
This is the intention of God,
to teach everything which no one has ever known.
Tsukihi niwa dandan shiranu koto bakari
Nanimo oshiete sekai tasukeru 8-43
By teaching all of the unknown step by step,
God will save the world.
Kora hodoni omou Tsukihi no shinpai o
Sekai no mono wa nanimo shirazu ni 8-44
So great is God’s worry,
but those in the world are aware of nothing.
Kokoro sai Tsukihi shinjitsu uketoreba
Donna tasuke mo mina ukeyau de 8-45
If only your mind is truly accepted by God, (pure mind)
you will be assured of any salvation whatever.
Dona yona tasuke to yu mo shinjitsu no
Oya ga iru kara Tsukihi yu no ya 8- 46
God assures you any and any salvation
because your true Parent(Oyasama) lives .
Kono Tsukihi moto naru Jiba ya moto naru no
Innen aru de juyojizai o 8-47
Because the the origin becoming Jiba(effect) and the origin becoming
causality exist, God works freely and unlimitedly.
Kono hanashi nande kono yoni kudoi nara
Tasuke ichijo ukeyau no moto 8-48
You may wonder why I repeat this teaching so persistently.
It is the assurance of single hearted salvation from the Origin
Kono moto wa doko o tazunete mitaru tomo
Shiritaru mono wa sarani arumai 8-49
Wherever you may seek to find the Origin,
there will be no one who knows.
Sono hazu ya Tsukihi tainai irikonde
Hanashi suru no wa ima hajime ya de 8-50
So should it be, for this is the first time
that God has entered a body and speaks.
Kono sekai ichiretsu mieru Tsukihi nara
Doko no koto demo shiranu koto nasho 8-51
To God , who can see everything in this world,
nothing is unknown.
Tsukihi yori mina sorezore to misadamete
Zen to aku to o miwake suru zo ya 8-52
Watching each and everyone of you,
God will discern the good and evil (greed, arrogance, & self love).
Tsukihi yori nande kono yoni kudoi nara
Ashiki mieru ga kinodoku na kara 8-53
If you wonder why God is so persistent,
it is because I pity you when evil appears.
Dandan to on ga kasanari sono ue wa
Gyuba to mieru michi ga aru kara 8-54
If you let your debts (greed, arrogance, self-love, miserliness, and covetousness) pile up,
there is seen a path of oxen and horses (Causality).
Dono yona mono demo Tsukihi shinjitsu o
Uketorita nara mina tasukeru de 8-55
But God will save all of you, whoever you may be,
if only your sincerity (purity of mind) is accepted.
Imamade wa donna hanashi o shitaru tomo
Nanimo mietaru koto wa nakeredo 8-56
Until now no matter what I had told you,
you have not been able to see anything.
Koremade mo mina miekitaru koto naredo
Honmoto naru o shiran koto kara 8-57
Even until now, all things have already appeared (effect of causality),
but you do not know their true origin (cause).
Kaminari mo jishin okaze mizutsuki mo
Kore wa Tsukihi no zannen rippuku 8-58
Thunder, earthquakes, great winds, and floods
these are regret and anger of God.
Kono koto o imamade tare mo shiran kara
Konotabi Tsukihi saki e shirasuru 8-60
Because no one has ever understood this matter,
this time God will let you know about it before hand.
Tsukihi niwa mina ichiretsu wa waga ko nari
Kawai ippai omote iredomo 8-61
To God, each of you, one and all, is a child of mine.
I am filled with love for you.
Ichiretsu wa mina meme no mune no uchi
Hokori ippai tsumori aru kara 8-62
But the innermost heart of everyone of you
has accumulated piles of dust (greed, arrogance, & self love).
Kono hokori sukiyaka soji sen koto ni
Tsukihi ika hodo omotaru tote 8-62
Unless this dust is cleanly swept away,
the deep concern of God will be to naught(talking of causality bringing on sufferring).
Tsukihi yori kowaki abunaki michisuji o
Anjite iredo meme shirazu ni 8-63
God is anxious about your dreadful and dangerous course (causality).
Yet none of you is aware.
Dono yona takai tokoro to yuta tote
Tsukihi no ta ni mina waga ko ya de 8-64
On however high a place you may be,
God’s people, are all his children.
Sore shirazu Oya no suru koto sashitomete
Mata toriharote kore wa ikaga zo 8-65
Knowing nothing of it, you try to stop God’s work,
even to have it taken away. What manner is this?
Tsukihi niwa imamade donna koto ya tote
Araware detaru koto wa nakeredo 8-66
Though until now God has never come out into the open
no matter what occurred (God has been a spectator since the creation).
Konotabi wa mune no uchi yori sukiyaka ni
Harasan koto ni ato no moyo o 8-67
This time, unless your innermost heart is made thoroughly clear,
the preparation to follow cannot be made (prayers will not be effective).
Kono ato wa dono yona mono mo ichiretsu ni
Tasuketai to no shudan bakari o 8-68
Thereafter I shall need only to proceed
with the means to save all of you, whoever you may be.
Konosaki wa tasuke ichijo ni kakaritara
Dono yona mono mo isamu bakari ya 8-69
Hereafter, when I begin my work of single hearted salvation,
everyone of you will only be spirited.
Nani goto mo Tsukihi ichido yuta koto
Chigai no naru koto wa nai zo ya 8-70
Whatever God has once said,
will never become false through all time.
Imamade mo akudoi hodo mo toite aru
Naredo kokoro ni wakari nai kara 8-71
Even until now, I have taught you so tediously,
yet there is no understanding in your minds.
Shikato kike onaji ningen naru yoni
Omote iru no wa kore wa chigau de 8-72
Listen, you are mistaken in thinking of me as a human,
the same as you.
Dono yona koto o oshiete kakaru no mo
Moto naru Oya de nakuba ikan de 8-73
To begin teaching about all matter,
one must be the origin becoming parent.
Imamade mo nani o oshiete kitaru no mo
Mina kono dori hajime kaketa de 8-74
Even until now, in all the teachings I have given you,
I began them by this way.
Ningen o hajimeta Oya ga mo ichi nin
Doko ni aru nara tazune ite miyo 8-75
If there should be another location where the parent who began human being,
go and seek to find where.
Kono yona shiranu koto oba dandan to
Yute iredomo kore ga makoto ya 8-76
Though I speak in this way of unknown things step by step,
it is the truth.
Nichinichi ni shiranu koto o ya nai koto o
Kore oshieru ga Tsukihi tanoshimi 8-77
Day after day, teaching you of the unknown
and of things yet to be is the pleasure of God.
Kono yo no ningen hajime Oya naru ni
Ten no atae wa aru to kikedomo 8-78
You have heard of the Gift of Heaven to be given
to the Parent of this world’s human beginnings.
Kono hanashi nanino koto yara choto shiren
Tsukihi jikimotsu yaro to yu ya 8-79
You may not know what this talk is about.
God wishes to bestow the Food of Heaven (when this happens, there will be paradise).
Kono hanashi doyu koto de aro nara
Kanrodai ni hirabachi o nose.8-80
This talk what will happen?
place a flat vessel on the Kanrodai.
Konosaki wa atchi kotchi ni mi ni sawari
Tsukihi teirri o suru to omoe yo 8-81
Hereafter, bodily disorders will appear here and there.
Know that it is the care being given by God (God’s guidance).
Kitaru nara waga mi sawari to hikiyawase
Onaji koto nara hayaku soji o 8-82
When you come, compare your disorders.
If the conditions are the same, quickly begin the sweeping (purify the mind).
Soji shita tokoro o aruki tachidomari
Sono tokoro yori Kanrodai o 8-83
Walk over where you have swept,
and you will come to a standstill. There the Kanrodai (location of the original pure mind of the parent). (where God compares our mind with the original mind)
Shitaru nara soreyori Tsutome te o soroi
Hayaku kakare yo kokoro isamu de 8-84
When it is done, assemble the performers
and quickly begin the service. The minds will become spirited.
Kore bakari doko tazune temo nai hodoni
Kore nippon no shin no hashira ya 8-85
Indeed, wherever else you may seek it, it will never be found.
This is Nihon’s original mind’s pillar.
Kore saika tashika miekita koto naraba
Donna mono demo osoru mono nashi 8-86
If only this certainly comes to be seen,
Whatever happens, there will be nothing to fear.
Nani yu mo shinjitsu naru no shoko ga
Mien koto niwa ato no moyo o 8-87
Whatever is said, unless you are able to see the proof of the true Origin’s beginning (Kanrodai) (God compares our minds to the original mind),
I cannot set out on my next preparations.
Dono yona takai tokoro no mono ya tote
Juyoshidai ni hanashi suru nari 8-87
On however high a place you may be,
My talk about my free and unlimited blessing will occur.
Summary: Chapter 8
God’s regret builds up day by day due to the evil thoughts of mankind. Negative energy of negative thoughts. How can God release the regret (negative energy)? God promises to work to sweep away the evil from the minds of man, and also release his regret. How does he do this?
God needs to have the early followers have a pure mind to perform the prayer. They need a pure mind to teach the people who God brings to them. This is why God compares the prayer’s mind to Oyasama’s mind to see if the prayer has a pure mind to convey God’s truth.
With the acceptance of the prayer, God places illness as guidance on others, and brings them to our places of worship to heal, but more important to purify their minds. This is how God releases his anger and regret.
God will teach the early followers the hand movements of the Joyous Service. It is not from a human mind.
The innermost heart of the world is reflected to God. Everyone has only self centered thoughts.
God wants the early followers to understand the blessings of child birth, either to delay or quicken the birth for the safety of the mom and child. He also wants us to consider the protection from small pox that he has blessed them with. He tells them that the pure mind brings upon these blessings.
God says that the place of residence (where God is) is where human beings were created.
God says that the parent of mankind lives at the residence. Oyasama (Miki Nakayama) is the parent. Because the parent exist, God’s blessings are possible. God needs the parent (Oyasama) to compare minds.
God discerns the good and evil. God says if your debts (evil) pile up, a path of oxen and horses may be possible in the next incarnation. But God says he will save you from this fate if you purify the minds.
God says that things have occurred, but we cannot see their origin. Do not know about cause and effect (karma, innen). God says that he will now show the future now by guiding people by placing illness.
God says that natural disasters are God’s work of releasing his anger and regret.
God says that he has been a spectator until now, letting natural law take effect(causality), but God says he will start to work now.
Site of Kanrodai (Original mind) located by the early followers by sweeping their minds of greed, arrogance, covetousness, miserliness, and self love. When they walked over the site, their bodies all stopped at this same location. The exact location is where mankind was created. Oyasama’s soul returns to this site in 1887, making the Kanrodai the shrine of God, where Oyasama and God exist to purify mankind.
Unless this Kanrodai is seen, God cannot go out to give us our blessings of bringing new people to be saved. This is where the prayers to save the world is directed toward, especially in 1887 when the soul of Oyasama returns to the origin. The identification of the site of where mankind was created is important. It prepares for the date where God begins to work to save the world (1887)
When all mankind is purified, the service will be done, and great blessing from heaven will come to the world.
