In the Heaven’s Truth Religion (Tenrikyo), these evils or sins are the dusts of greed, arrogance, miserliness, covetousness, and self love. The following is from the Ofudesaki:

Among all mankind, there is no one who is evil.

It is only a bit of dust stuck on. 1-53

There is nothing at all which should called illness.

It is because there are paths of the mistaken mind. 3-95

This path are miserliness, covetousness, self love,

greed, and arrogance. These are the dusts(called evils also). 3-96

These evils in our minds are the cause of suffering in this world. These dusts emerge from our minds and are eventually collected by our soul (heart). The soul becomes surrounded by these dusts and eventually releases them as suffering and inconvenience back to us. Some may refer to this as karma, causality, or innen. Upon death, the soul is released from the body with its dusts that the soul has accumulated.

God tells us to remove these dusts from our minds. God tells us that if we calm our minds when suffering, temptation, or inconveniences occur, and do not act on our evil thoughts, these thoughts will gradually disappear from our minds. God tells us when our minds become pure, we will be spirited and joyous. But to eliminate these dust is very difficult because situations arise everyday which may bring upon inconvenience. These inconveniences may even originate from God.

God helps us purify our minds. It is God who sometime causes these sufferings, temptations, and inconveniences, in hopes of hastening our purification. This is his guidance and blessings. If we continue to calm our minds, and not act upon these occurrences in a negative way, these evil thoughts will not emerge from our minds. Eventually the soul will be void of dust; and our future will only bring upon joy by the principle of causality (karma or innen).

This parental guidance from a loving God is what separates this religion from all others.
