CHAPTER 2
1869
(korekara wa) (ou kuwan michi o) (tsuke kakeru)
(sekai no kokoro) (mina isameru de) 1
From now on, to take responsibility for unfavorable event path, I begin to establish.
*called the broad path or path of the soul to attain the pure mind. When negative fate comes from our souls, one should ponder one’s mind, and not act on one’s negative thoughts. This is how one purifies the mind
The world’s minds, all I will make spirited.
*purify the minds by placing illness as guidance to help understand what our souls do to purify the mind. The soul collects our demerits from acting on our negative thoughts, stores them as fate, and manifest them eventually as suffering or illness back to us.
(kami taru wa) (kokoro isande) (kuru hodoni)
(nandoki ni kuru) (kokugen ga kita) 2
Those in high places, with the mind spirited they will come. Because
what time to come, the appointed time has come.
(cha tsunde) (ato karitorite) (shimota nara)
(ato i deru no wa) (youki-zutome ya) 3
The tea trimmed, if later harvested, and grounded,
what follows later the Timber Service.
* Youki-tsutome is a prayer asking God to place guidance (you) on the people (trees) we have spread God’s truth to. These workings of guidance help them understand what their own soul does to purify their mind.
(kono Tsutome) (doko kara kuru to) (omou kana)
(kami taru tokoro) (isami kuru zo ya) 4
This Service, where do they come from you think.
*who’s mind is the Service talking about when we pray and chant, “Evil sweeping, save them please”. We are first praying for the people in high society or high class people first
Those in high places, they will come spirited.
(dandan to) (Kami no shugou to) (yuu mono wa)
(mezurashi koto o) (mina shikakeru de) 5
Step by step, God’s protection it is said about,
marvelous things will all begin.
*of illness as guidance by the performance of Youki-tsutome
(nichinichi ni) (Kami no kokoro no) (sekikomi o)
(mina ichiretsu wa) (nanto omoteru) 6
Day by day, God’s mind’s hastening.
All everyone, what are you thinking?
(nani nitemo) (yamai itami wa) (sarani nashi)
(Kami no sekikomi) (tebiki naru zo ya) 7
Whatever happens, illness and pain furthermore to become.
God’s hastening, guidance to occur.
*God wants us to understand our own souls to purify the mind
(sekikomi mo) (naniyue naru to) (yuu naraba)
(tsutome no ninju) (hoshii koto kara) 8
Also the hastening, why will it occur if one were to say.
*God trying to purify the minds of the Service performers, so that the Youki-tsutome becomes effective to save others
The Service’s members because I want.
(kono tsutome) (nanno koto ya to) (omote iru)
(yorozu tasuke no) (moyou bakari o) 9
This Service, what is it about you thinking to be.
All salvation’s preparation only.
*the prayer ask God to save others
(kono tasuke) (ima bakari towa) (omouna yo)
(kore matsudai no) (kouki naru zo ya) 10
This salvation, about only now do not think.
This is the perpetuity of spiritedness that will occur.
*we perform the Youki-tsutome today and in the future to help others be saved
(choto hanashi) (nobose kanteki) (yuute iru)
(yamai dewa nai) (Kami no sekikomu) 11
Just a little talk. Dizziness and madness it is said to be.
*these are God’s guidance to purify the minds of the early followers
Illness it is not. It is God’s hastening.
(dandan to) (shinjitsu Kami no) (ichijou o)
(toite kikasedo) (mada wakari nai) 12
Step by step, the pure mind, God’s desire to
explain and inform. Still you do not understand
(hayabaya to) (omote deyou to) (omoedomo)
(michi ga noute wa) (deru ni deraren) 13
Quickly, thinking to go out I am considering.
The path is not there. To go out, I cannot.
*Kanrodai location not identified yet to direct prayer toward. Path to the pure mind not there
(kono michi o) (hayaku tsukeyo to) (omoedomo)
(hoka naru toko de) (tsukeru toko nashi) 14
This path, quickly to install I am thinking.
Other becoming places, installing place to become.
*there is only one place where human’s were started, and only one place to pray toward
(kono michi o) (shinjitsu omou) (koto naraba)
(mune no uchi yori) (yorozu shiyan se) 15
This path, the pure mind if you think about.
The soul’s interior, what comes from it, all ponder
*what fate that comes from one’s own soul, to ponder the mind. The innermost soul in each of us delivers our fates, of what we have done previously.
(kono hanashi) (nanno koto ya to) (omote iru)
(Kami no uchiwake) (bashou sekikomu) 16
This talk, what is it about you are thinking.
*one needs to have the pure mind to find the location
God’s residence, the location I am hastening for.
*location where human creation started is where God descended to. One can only find it’s location when the mind is pure. Understand what comes from your soul to purify the mind. This is how the easy followers found the location of the Kanroudai.
(kono michi ga) (choto miekaketa) (koto naraba)
(sekai no kokoro) (mina isami deru) 17
When this path (of the soul) can be seen a little. When this happens,
the world’s mind will all become spirited.
*when one understands the soul, one can purify one’s mind.
(nani nitemo) (Kami no yuu koto) (shikato kike)
(yashiki no souji) (deketa koto nara) 18
Whatever happen, what God says listen firmly.
The sweeping of the Residence, if it is done.
*the sweeping of the minds of the people living in the Nakayama Residence was important to do for the salvation to begin
(mou mieru) (yokome furu ma mo) (nai hodoni)
(yume mita you ni) (hokori chiru zo ya) 19
Now is seen. To look aside, the time does not exist. Because
like a dream seen, by the workings, the dust will disappear!
*by God’s guidance (workings), the minds will become pure of the people living in the Residence
(kono hokori) (sukiyaka harota) (koto naraba)
(ato wa yorozu no) (tasuke ichijou) 20
This dust, if it is completely swept,
afterwards, all single salvation.
*when the mind is pure of all the Nakayama residence and early followers, God will provide salvation to proceed. Possible date Jan. 26, 1887?
(konosaki wa) (dandan ssutome) (sekikonde)
(yorozu tasuke no) (moyou bakari o) 21
Hereafter, little by little the Service I shall hasten.
*when the mind is pure, this is possible
All salvation’s preparation only to (do).
*God to purify the minds of the performers
(sekaijuu) (doko ga ashiki ya) (itamishiyo)
(Kami no michiose) (tebiki shirazu ni) 22
In the world, where evil (thoughts) are. Dispensation of pain is
God’s road sign of guidance to let you know.
(kono you ni) (yamai to yuute) (nai hodoni)
(minouchi sawari) (mina shiyan seyo) 23
By these workings, illness that is said, does not exist. Because
*workings are God’s guidance as compared to the illness and suffering from the soul (mune)
disorders within the body, all ponder over it.
*illness originates from our own minds. God showing us what negative thoughts are in our minds by the disorders on our bodies. It is these thoughts that we act upon that causes our negative fates
(nichinichi ni) (Kami no sekikomi) (kono tasuke)
(mina ichiretsu wa)( nanto omoteru) 24
Day after day, God’s hastening on this salvation.
All everyone, what are you all thinking?
(takayama no) (oike ni waita) (mizu naredo)
(debana wa nigori) (gomoku majiri de) 25
In the high mountain’s pond gushes the water. However,
*this water is pure that flows, like a pure mind
at its spout it become muddy as mud is mixed.
* this water in the high mountain is contaminated, like when evil thoughts enter our minds. God will begin to sweep the minds of these people first.
(dandan to) (kokoro shizumete) (shiyan suru)
(sundaru mizu to) (kawari kuru zo ya) 26
Step by step, when one calms the mind and ponders,
*pondering ones mind of dusts instead of blaming others, one can purify one’s own mind
clear water it will change into.
* When obstacles occur, one must ponder one’s own mind, and not take action on our evil thoughts. This is how one purifies the mind
(yama naka no) (mizu no naka i to) (irikonde)
(ika naru mizu mo) (sumasu koto nari) 27
Within the mountain, inside the water I shall go into.
*God entering the minds of people of high society
Whatever kind of water, settling matter to occur.
*God to purify the minds by giving guidance

Also, whatever mud to clear, resulting in.
*God to purify the minds of the upper reaches of society. This only happen when we spread God’s teachings, and perform our prayer (Youki-tsutome).
(gomoku sai) (sukiyaka dashite) (shimota nara)
(ato naru mizu wa) (sunde aru nari) 30
The mud on the occasion, is thoroughly removed. If it occurs,
*if one removes evil thoughts or dusts from the mind,
the remaining water, clear to be, resulting in.
*the mind will become pure
(korekara wa) (kara to nihon no)( hanashi suru)
(nani o yuu tomo) (wakari arumai) 31
From now on, kara and nihon’s talk I will do.
*nihon understands the truths of the soul and the pure mind. Kara does not understand the soul and the pure mind. Both may have impure minds, as nihon is in the process of removing their negative thoughts
What I say however, understanding there is not.
*the concepts of the pure mind (shinjitsu) and the soul (mune) are not understood
(tojin ga) (nihon no jii i) (irikonde)
(mamani suru no ga) (Kami no rippuku) 32
The towns people, nihon’s land they have entered,
and their willful acts result in God’s anger.
(dandan to) (nihon tasukeru) (moyoudate)
(toujin Kami no) (mamani suru nari) 33
Step by step, saving nihon, I am preparing.
*God guiding the people of nihon to purify the mind first. These people of nihon who God guides are called youboku, youki, and yougi. God guides them will illness to purify their minds
To the town’s people, God as one likes to, resulting in.
(konosaki wa) (kara to nihon o) (wakeru de na)
(kore wakaritara) (sekai osamaru) 34
Hereafter, kara and nihon I am distinguishing.
*God distinguishing their minds by placing illness as guidance on nihon
If this is understood, the world will settle.
*when the world understands what God is doing in purifying the minds
(imamade wa) (kami taru kokoro) (wakaraide)
(sekainami ya to) (omote ita nari) 35
Until now, those in high society their minds did not understand.
Worldly common to be thinking, resulting in.
*thought illness was normal occurrence
(korekara wa) (Kami ga tainai) (irikonde)
(kokoro sumiyaka) (wakete miseru de) 36
From now on, God inside the body will enter.
*only to those who are nihon when we perform the Youki-tsutome
The mind completely to distinguish to show.
*the type of illness will reflect what evil thoughts or dusts are in the mind. This is God’ guidance. It is showing what the soul does when we act on our negative thoughts
(nichinichi ni) (yorikuru hito ni) (kotowari o)
(yueba dandan) (naomo maasu de) 37
Day by day, the people who come, you inform to (teach).
*when people receive God’s guidance, they will come to be healed, and be informed of God’s teachings
To say, step by step their numbers will increase.
(ika hodono) (ooku no hito ga) (kitaru tomo)
(nanimo anjina) (Kami no hikiuke) 38
How much large number of people may come, certainly
do no worry. It is God’s undertaking.
(mezurashii) (kono yo hajime no) (Kanrodai)
(kore ga nihon no) (osamari to naru) 39
Marvelous this world’s beginning’s Central Pillar,

*when nihon is settled, the Central Pillar will be completed
(takayama ni) (hii to mizu to ga) (miete aru)
(tare ga mee nimo) (kore ga mien ka) 40
In the mountain, fire and water can be seen.
*fire and water refers to illness, as guidance. God withdrawing fire and water from the body to place illness
Whoever with their eyes, this you cannot see?
*this guidance is a result of God accepting our prayers (Youki-tsutome) to the people in the high mountains
(dandan to) (ikana hanashi mo) (toite aru)
(tashikana koto ga) (miete aru kara) 41
Step by step, what kind of talks already have been explained.
Certainly, because this matter has been seen.
*spreading of God’s teaching is important, for the blessings to occcur
(shiyawase o) (yoki you ni tote) (juubun ni)
(mi ni tsuite kuru) (kore o tanoshime) 42
For blessings to forecast, by the workings to receive. Fully
*blessings are God’s guidance of illness appearing as workings that people receive
it will come upon the body. This is promising.
*guidance is promising because if one understands its purpose, one can purify one’s mind. From this, the soul will bring upon only joy
(nanimo kamo) (gouyoku tsukushi) (sono ue wa)
(Kami no rippuku) (miete kuru zo ya) 43
In any matter, if greed comes upon you. Upon that,
God’s anger you will come to see.
*guidance to be seen
