OFUDESAKI/CHAPTER 2/ 1869

(korekara wa) (ou kuwan michi o) (tsuke kakeru)   *-

(sekai no kokoro) (mina isameru de) 2-1 

From now on, a broad path I begin to establish.

The world’s mind, all I will make spirited.

*broad path =responsibility for unfavorable events

(kami taru wa) (kokoro isande) (kuru hodoni)  *-

(nandoki ni kuru) (kokugen ga kita) 2-2 

Those in high places, with the mind spirited, they will come. Because

what time to come, this appointed time has come.

(cha tsunde) (ato karitorite) (shimota nara)   *-

(ato i deru no wa) (Youki-zutome ya) 2-3   

The tea trimmed, later harvested, and grounded,

what follows later, the Joyous Service.

(kono Tsutome) (doko kara kuru to) (omou kana)   *-

(kami taru tokoro) (isami kuru zo ya) 2-4   

This Service, where do they come from, you think?  

Those in  high places, they will come spirited.

Day by day, the mind of God hastens.

All everyone, what are you thinking?

(nani nitemo) (yamai itami wa) (sarani nashi)   *-

(Kami no sekikomi) (tebiki naru zo ya) 2-7  

Whatever happens, illness and pain, furthermore are nonexistent.

God’s hastening and guidance to occur.

(sekikomi mo) (naniyue naru to) (yuu naraba)   *-

(tsutome no ninjuu) (hoshii koto kara) 2-8   

Also the hastening, why would it occur, if one were to say.

The Service’s member, because I want.

(kono Tsutome) (nanno koto ya to) (omote iru)   *-

(yorozu tasuke no) (moyou bakari o) 2-9   

This Service, what do you think it is about?

All salvation’s preparation only.

(kono tasuke) (ima bakari towa) (omouna yo)   *-

(kore matsudai no) (Kouki naru zo ya) 2-10   

This salvation, about only now, do not think.

This is the perpetuity of splendor that will occur.

(choto hanashi) (nobose kanteki) (yuute iru)   *-

(yamai dewa nai) (Kami no sekikomu) 2-11   

Just a little talk. Dizziness and madness, it is said to be. 

Illness it is not. It is God’s hastening.

Step by step, the Original mind, God’s desire

to explain and inform. Still you do not understand. 

(hayabaya to) (omote deyou to) (omoedomo)   *-

(michi ga noute wa) (deru ni deraren) 2-13   

Quickly, thinking to go out, I am considering. 

The path is not there.  To go out. I cannot

God’s residence, the location I am hastening for.

*location where human creation started is where God descended to

(sekai no kokoro) (mina isami deru) 2-17   

When this path (of the heart)can be easily seen. When this happens,

the world’s mind will all become spirited.

*when one understands the heart, one can purify one’s mind

(nani nitemo) (Kami no yuu koto) (shikato kike)   *-

(yashiki no souji) (deketa koto nara) 2-18   

What like, what God says, listen firmly.

The sweeping of the Residence, if it is done and

*the sweeping of the people living in the Residence

(mou mieru) (yokome furu ma mo) (nai hodoni)   *-

(yume mita you ni) (hokori chiru zo ya) 2-19   

Now is seen. To look aside, the time does not exist. Because

like a dream seen, by the workings, the dust will disappear!

*dust disappear from the mind of the people living in the Residence

(kono hokori) (sukiyaka harota) (koto naraba)   *-

(ato wa yorozu no) (tasuke ichijo) 2-20   

This dust is completely swept. When this occurs, 

afterwards, all single salvation. 

*when the mind is pure, God will provide salvation to proceed

(konosaki wa) (dandan Tsutome) (sekikonde)   *-

(yorozu tasuke no) (moyou bakari o) 2-21   

Hereafter, little by little, the Service, I shall hasten. 

All  salvation’s  preparation only to (do).

(sekaijuu) (doko ga ashiki) (ya itamisho)   *-

(Kami no michiose) (tebiki shirazu ni) 2-22   

Throughout the world, where evil (thoughts) are. Such things as pain

are God’s road sign of guidance, to let you know.

(kono you ni) (yamai to yuute) (nai hodoni)    *-

(minouchi sawari) (mina shiyan seyo) 2-23   

By these workings, illness that is said, does not exist. Because

disorders within the body, all ponder over it.

(nichinichi ni) (Kami no sekikomi) (kono tasuke)   *-

(mina ichiretsu wa)( nanto omoteru) 2-24   

Day after day, God’s hastening on this salvation,

all everyone, what are you all thinking?

(takayama no) (oike ni waita) (mizu naredo)   *-

(debana wa nigori) (gomoku majiri de)  

In the high mountain’s pond, water gushes. However

*this water is pure that flows, like a pure mind

at its spout, it becomes muddy, as mud is mixed. 

*this water is contaminated like when evil thoughts enter our minds

(dandan to) (kokoro shizumete) (shiyan suru)   *-

(sundaru mizu to) (kawari kuru zo ya) 2-26   

Step by step, when you calm the mind and ponder, 

clear water, it will change to come. 

(yama naka no) (mizu no naka i) (to irikonde)   *-

(ika naru mizu mo) (sumasu koto nari) 2-27   

Within the mountain, inside the water, I shall go into. 

*God entering the minds in th high mountains

Whatever kind of water (minds), I will make it pure. 

* God to purify these minds

(nichinichi ni) (kokoro tsukusuru) (sono kata wa)   *-

(mune o osame yo) (sue wa tanomoshi) 2-28   

Day by day, the mind is resolving.  That person,

*evil thoughts disappearing

the heart (soul) is settling. The future is promising.

*the heart becomes pure. Therefore only joy will come from the heart

(korekara wa) (takayama ike i) (tobihairi)     *-

(ikana gomoku mo) (souji suru nari) 2-29 

From now on, the high mountain’s pond, I shall plunge into.

Also whatever mud (evil thoughts), I will sweep.

*God to purify the minds of the upper reaches of society

(gomoku sai) (sukiyaka dashite) (shimota nara)   *-

(ato naru mizu wa) (sunde aru nari) 2-30   

The mud, on occasion is removed quickly. If it occurs, 

*if one removes evil thoughts or dusts from the mind

the remaining water (mind) will become clear to exist.

*the mind will become pure

(korekara wa) (kara to nihon no)( hanashi suru)   *-

(nani o yuu tomo) (wakari arumai) 2-31   

From now on, kara and nihon’s  talk I will do.

What I say however, understanding there is not. 

(toujin ga) (nihon no jii i) (irikonde)   *-

(mamani suru no ga) (Kami no rippuku) 2-32   

The towns people, nihon’s land they have entered,

and their willful acts, result in God’s anger.

(dandan to) (nihon tasukeru) (moyoudate)   *-

(toujin Kami no) (mamani suru nari) 2-33

Step by step, saving nihon, I am preparing.

The town’s people, God as one likes, to do.

(konosaki wa) (kara to nihon o) (wakeru de na)   *-

(kore wakaritara) (sekai osamaru) 2-34   

Hereafter, kara and nihon, I am distinguishing them.

If this is understood, the world will settle.

(imamade wa) (kami taru kokoro) (wakaraide)  *-

(sekainami ya to) (omote ita nari) 2-35   

Until now, those in high society, their minds did not understand.

Worldly to be, thinking to occur.

(korekara wa) (Kami ga tainai) (irikonde)   *-

(kokoro sumiyaka) (wakete miseru de) 2-36  

From now on God, inside the body will enter. 

The mind completely to  distinguish, to show.

(nichinichi ni) (yorikuru hito ni) (kotowari o)   *-

(yueba dandan) (naomo maasu de) 2-37   

Day by day, the people who come, you inform to (teach).

To say, step by step, they will continue to increase. 

(ika hodono) (ooku no hito ga) (kitaru tomo)   *-

(nanimo anjina) (Kami no hikiuke) 2-38  

How many people may come, certainly

do no worry. It is God’s undertaking.

(mezurashii) (kono yo hajime no) (Kanrodai)     *-

(kore ga nihon no) (osamari to naru)  2-39

Marvelous, this world’s beginning’s Central Pillar.

This is nihon’s settling to become.

(takayama ni) (hii to mizu to ga) (miete aru)   *-

(tare ga mee nimo) (kore ga mien ka) 2-40   

In the mountain, fire and water can be seen (as illness).

Whoever with their eyes, this you cannot see?

(dandan to) (ikana hanashi mo) (toite aru)   *-

(tashikana koto ga) (miete aru kara) 2-41   

Step by step, whatever talks have been explained.

Certainly this matters have been seen.

(shiyawase o) (yoki you ni tote) (juubun ni)    *-

(mi ni tsuite kuru) (kore o tanoshime) 2-42     

For blessings to forecast, by workings to receive. Fully 

it will come upon the body. This is promising.

(nanimo kamo) (gouyoku tsukushi) (sono ue wa)   *-

(Kami no rippuku) (miete kuru zo ya) 2-43   

In any matter, if greed comes upon you.  Upon that,

God’s anger you will come to see.

(dandan to) (juu go nichi yori) (miekakeru)   *-

(zen to aku towa) (mina arawareru) 2-44   

Gradually from the fifteenth day, it will be seen. 

Good and evil, all will be revealed. 

(kono hanashi) (doko no koto tomo) (yuwan de na)   *-

(miete kitareba) (mina tokushin se) 2-45   

This talk, where is it about, certainly I do not say.

When it comes to be seen, all will be convinced.

(takayama no) (nihon no mono to) ( toujin to)   *-

(wakeru moyou mo) (kore mo hashira ya) 2-46   

Among the high mountains, the people of nihon and town’s people

to distinguish, the preparation, this also is the Pillar. 

(toujin to) (nihon no mono to) (wakeru no wa)   *-

(hi to mizu to o) (irete wakeru de) 2-47   

The town and Nihon’s people, to distinguish,

fire and water (as illness) will be needed to distinguish.

 * It is the people of nihon that receives illness as guidance, because they understand the illness when they receive it.
