OFUDESAKI/ CHAPTER 10/ 1875 TENRIKYO
(Shinjitsu no) kokoro Tsukihi ga misadamete
Ten yori watasu atae naru no wa 10-1
After God discerns the sincere minds (all mankind purified) .
the gift bestowed from heaven will occur.
Choto shitaru koto towa sarani omouna yo
Ten yori fukai omowaku ga aru 10-2
Never take it as a trivial matter.
From heaven, the intention is profound.
Kono hanashi doyu koto de aro nara
Kara tenjiku mo kokoro sumashite 10-3
To explain what this talk is about,
I shall settle the minds of those in Kara and Tenjiku (those that are closed minded now/impure minds/do not know about the soul).
Kono kokoro doshite sumasu koto naraba
Tsukihi tobideta atchi kotchi to 10-4
How will those minds be purified?
God will rush out to places near and far.
Dandan to Tsukihi tainai irikonde
Juyojizai o shite kakaru de na 10-5
Step by step, God will enter bodies
and begin free and unlimited workings (place illness as guidance as a reflection of the mind) .
Shitaru nara nanbo kara ya to yuta tote
Nihon no mono ni kore wa kanawan 10-6
If it is done, how much unpleasant Kara says it is,
To those in Nihon, this will not come true.
Nichinichi ni mieru tokoro de tokushin se
nandoki donna hanashi kiku yara 10-7
day by day, Be convinced at the location where it appears.
There is no knowing when what kind of talk will be heard.
Dono yona hanashi kiitemo saki i yori
Kore wa Tsukihi no hanashi naru no ya 10-8
Whatever talk you hear, it was told before.
This will become God’s talk.
Korekara wa nihon no mono wa dandan to
Tsukihi hikitate kore o mite iyo 10-9
From now on, God will favor (support) those in Nihon
step by step . Watch this.
Nanimo kamo dono yona koto mo mina oshie
Shiran koto owa nai yoni suru 10-10
I shall teach everything about all things
So that nothing will remain which you do not know.
Nihon niwa hashira o tateta koto naraba
Yamazu shinazu ni yowari naki yoni 10-11
When the pillar is set in Nihon (when all mankind purified) ,
You shall no longer fall ill, die, weaken, or weep.
Imamade wa kara ya to yute habikarite
Mamani shite ita kondo kayashi o 10-12
Until now those of Kara have said unpleasant things and have rampantly
done as they pleased. This time I shall give returns (illness as guidance).
Kono hanashi tare ni dose to yu de nashi
Tsukihi tobideta mamani suru nari 10-13
B y this talk, I do not tell anyone to do anything.
God shall rush out and do as he pleases.
Koremade mo Tsukihi o shiran mono wa nai
Naredo honmoto shirita mono nashi 10-14
Even until now, there is no one who does not know God,
but there is no one who knows the true origin (mankind created to live joyous life).
Konotabi wa dono yona koto mo shinjitsu o
Yute kikashite tasuke isogu de 10-15
This time, I shall teach the truth of all matters
and hasten salvation.
Kono higara itsu goro naru to yu naraba
Ta no shuri o shimai shidai ni 10-16
This date, to say about when this will come,
it will come upon the mending/weeding (removal of evil) of the people ( early followers) is completed (1887) .
Sorekara wa nanika Mezurashi michi ni naru
Tsutome no ninju mina yorite kuru 10-17
Then afterwards, a marvelous path will occur.
The performers of the service will all come and assemble.
Dandan to nichinichi kokoro isamu de na
Nanto Yamato wa erai honen 10-18
Step by step and day by day, the minds will become spirited.
What a rich harvest (new members) will appear in Yamato.
Nichinichi ni hayaku tsutome o sekikome yo
Ika naru nan mo mina nogareru de 10-19
Day by day, hasten to begin the service.
Any becoming hardships will also all be avoided (due to God’s guidance of preventing bad causality).
Dono yona mutsukashiku naru yamai demo
Tsutome ichijo de mina tasukaru de 10-20
Any kind of impending serious illness, (guidance of God caused by the service),
solely by the Service, all will be saved (service brings upon God’s guidance to help understand the soul, inorder to purify mind).
Tsutome demo doyu tsutome suru naraba
Kanrodai no tsutome ichijo 10-21
As to the service, what kind of service is to be done?
it is only the Kanrodai Service (Joyous Service directed at the Stand/Kanrodai).
Kono dai o doyu koto ni omou kana
Kore Nippon no Oya de aru zo ya 10-22
What are your thoughts concerning the stand?
The Parent of Nihon exist (the Original Parent Oyasama/ pure mind).
Kore saika makoto shinjitsu omou nara
Tsukihi miwakete mina hikiukeru 10-23
This, if you have thoughts of true sincerity
God will discern it and assure anything whatever (God compares our mind with the original mind of Oyasama/prayer effective if mind is pure).
Tsukihi yori hikiuke suru to yu kara wa
Sen ni hitotsu mo chigau koto nashi 10-24
Since I God give my assurance,
there will be not even one failure in a thousand ( in performing the Service). ( God will bring new members )
Kono hanashi doyu koto ni kiite iru
Kanrodai no Tsutome naru no wa 10-25
How are you hearing this talk?
it is about what will occur by the service of the Kanrodai .
Choto shitaru tsutome naru towa omouna yo
Sanju roku nin nin ga hoshii de 10-26
Do not think of this service as being done by a few
I desire as many a thirty six people.
Sono uchi ni narimono irete ju ku nin
Kagura zutome no ninju hoshii de 10-27
Within that including the musical instruments, there are 19 members
I need performers for the Kagura Service.
Shinjitsu ni kokoro sadamete shiyan seyo
Toritsugi no hito shikato tanomu de 10-28
Truly settle your mind and ponder.
I make this a firm request of you, my intermediaries.
Kono dai o koshirae yo tote Dandan ni
Tsukihi ninju no moyo suru nari 10-29
To construct this Stand, God is making preparations
for the performers ( instruments at creation) step by step (purify their minds).
Ninju ga shikato yoritaru koto naraba
Sono mama dai mo dekeru koto ya de 10-30
When the performers (instruments at creation) are fully assembled (when all mankind purified),
the Stand also will be completed of its own accord.
Kono michi wa doyu koto de arui naraba
Tsukihi tsutome no tee o Oshiete 10-31
To explain what this path is about.
God will teach the hand movements of the Service. Soreyori mo Tsukihi ichiretsu Sekaiju
Tsurete deta nara hitori dekeru de 10-32
When God takes them forth all over the world (spread the Joyous Service),
the Stand will be completed of itself.
Kore saika tashikani deketa koto naraba
Tsukizuki tsutome chigau koto nashi 10-33
If only this is surely completed (the stand) ,
there will be failure in the monthly (God’s loving) Service.
Tsutome sai chigawan yoni natta nara
Ten no atae mo chigau koto nashi 10-34
If there is no failure in the Service, (all mankind purified) *** different translation to original
the Gift of Heaven will also be given without failure.
Kono michi (path of the heart) wa makoto shinjitsu mutsukashi
Michi de aru zo ya mina shiyan seyo 10-35
This path of true sincerity is a difficult path.
Everyone must ponder.
Kono ninju doko ni aru yara shiromai nai
Tsukihi miwakete mina hikiyoseru 10-36
You may not know where these performers are (10 instruments at creation) .
God will discern them and draw them forth.
Dono yona tokoro no mono to yuta tote
Tsukihi juyo shite miseru de na 10-37
No matter where the person (performer of Service) is said to be from,
God will show his free and unlimited workings (guidance or illness).
Dandan to ninju sorota sono ue de
Shinjitsu o mite yakuwari o suru 10-38
After the performers (10 instruments at creation) are assembled step by step,
I shall discern their sincerity and assign their roles.
Yakuwari mo doyu koto de aru naraba
Kagura ju nin ato I narimono 10-39
To explain what the roles are to be,
ten for the Kagura and others for the musical instruments ( when mankind purified).
Kore saika hayaku shikkari sorota nara
Donna koto demo deken koto nashi 10-40
If only this assemblage is quickly completed (when mankind is purified),
nothing will remain that cannot be achieved (due to heavenly dew from heaven).
Kyokara wa Dandan monku kawaru de na
Imamade shiran koto bakari yu 10-41
From today, I shall change the topic step by step
and speak solely of things you have not known before.
Imamade mo dono yona michi mo aru keredo
Tsukihi oshien koto wa nai zo ya 10-42
Even until now, there have been various paths,
But there is nothing that has not been taught by God.
Tsukihi yori taite nanimo dandan to
Oshiete kitaru koto de aredomo 10-43
Though God has already taught you
most everything step by step.
Konotabi wa mata sono ue no shiran koto
Nanimo shinjitsu mina yute kikasu 10-44
This time I shall teach you further
all the truths yet unknown to you. Kore made wa kara ya to yute habikarite
Kore mo Tsukihi ga oshie kitaru de 10-45
Until now, those of kara have been boastfully thriving,
but they also have been taught by God.
Konotabi wa Tsukihi moto e to tachikairi
Ki no ne shikkari mina arawasu de 10-46
This time, returning to the Origin (where Kanrodai is to be placed) ,
God will clearly reveal the root (original mind of Oyasama) of the tree.
Kono yono moto o shikkari shirita mono
Doko no mono demo sarani arumai 10-47
There is perhaps no one anywhere who clearly knows
the origin of the world.
Shinjitsu ni kono moto saika shikkari to
Shiritaru naraba doko i ita tote 10-48
If you clearly know this origin,
you will always be assured, wherever you may go (know the pure mind of the origin).
Kono hanashi nanto omote kiite iru
Kore toritsugi ni shikomitai no ya 10-49
What do you think on hearing this talk?
I desire to train my intermediaries on this.
Dono yona koto o Tsukihi no omou niwa
Ningen moto o kore Sekaiju e 10-50
All that God desires is to have the whole world know
the origin of human beings.
Hayabaya to kono shinjitsu o ichiretsu ni
Shirashitaru nara hanashi wakaru de 10-51
If this truth becomes quickly known to all humankind,
my talks will be understood.
Ika hodoni hanashi o toite kikashitemo
Moto o Shirashite ikan koto niwa 10-52
No matter what talk I teach,
if you do not know the origin, it will not do.
Moto saika shikkari yute oita nara
Nani o yutemo mina kikiwakeru 10-53
If only I have taught you the origin (pure mind) clearly,
you will understand everything I say.
Kono yo no jii to ten towa Jitsu no Oya
Soreyori deketa ningen de aru 10-54
The earth and heaven of this world is your true parent.
Out of this, human beings were created.
Korekara wa kara mo nihon mo shiran koto
Bakari yu zo ya shikato kiku nari 10-55
From now on, I shall tell you solely of things unknown to both
kara and nihon. Listen closely.
Dono yona koto mo shiran to yuwan yo
Mina ichiretsu ni shikomitai kara 10-56
So that you need not say that you do not know.
I wish to train you all in everything
(Nichinichi ni) (Tsukihi no kokoro) (omou niwa)
(Oku no hito no) (mune no uchi oba) 10-57
Day by day, the concern in the mind of God
is the innermost hearts of a great number of people.
Kono kokoro doshita naraba wakaru yara
Dodo hayaku ni kore o waketai 10-58
How can I have you understand this mind
I would quickly like to distinguish this (mind) .
(Sekaiju) (shinjitsu yori mo) (mune no uchi)
(Wakarita naraba) (Tsukihi tanoshimi) 10-59
The world, from a mind of sincerity, the innermost heart,
if they understand it. It will be God’s delight.
(Sorekara wa) (ichiretsu naru no) (mune no uchi)
(Wakarita naraba) (Tsukihi soreyori) 10-60
From then, when everyone, the innermost heart
they understand, God will then,
Dandan to Nichinichi kokoro isame kake
Yokizukome o mina ni oshiete 10-61
make your mind spirited step by step and day-by-day
And teach joyousness to all of you.
(Sekaiju) (oku no hito no) (mune no uchi)
(Mina sumashitaru) (koto de aru nara) 10-62
In the world, the majority of people the innermost hearts
are all purified. If this condition exists, Soreyori mo Tsukihi no kokoro isami dete
Donna koto demo mina oshieru de 10-63
then the mind of God will spring forth spiritedly,
and I shall teach you everything about all matters.
Dono yona koto demo Tsukihi shinjitsu ni
Mina ichiretsu no oshietai no ya 10-64
God desires to teach the truth of everything
to all humankind equally.
Shinjitsu no kokoro ga hoshii Tsukihi niwa
Donna koto demo shikomitai kara 10-65
God desires you to have a sincere mind
because I wish to train you in all matters.
Kono hanashi nani o shikomu to omou kana
Korekara saki no yorozu michisuji 10-66
In what do you think I wish to train you by this talk?
For the countless courses of paths from now on.
Kyomade wa nani yono koto mo miendomo
Hi ga chikazukeba hitori mieru de 10-67
Until today, you have not been able to see anything.
But when the time draws near, things will be seen naturally.
Dono yona koto mo yamai to omouna yo
Nanika yorozu wa Tsukihi teira ya 10-68
Do not think of anything as an illness.
Everything is the care (guidance) of God.
Tsukihi yori Nichinichi kokoro sekikonde
Donna moyo o suru ya shiren de 10-69
As the mind of God hasten day by day,
there is no knowing what I am preparing.
Sekikomi mo nanino koto yara shiromai na
Kanrodai no moyo bakari ya 10-70
You may not know what my hastening is about.
It is solely about the preparation for the Kanrodai
Nichinichi ni Minouchi sawari tsuita nara
Kore wa Tsukihi no teiri naru ka yo 10-71
In your days, if a disorder comes to the body,
this is the care (guidance) of God that will become.
Dandan to misumasu tokoro Sekaiju
Kinodoku na kara monku kaetai 10-72
Looking carefully throughout the world step by step,
I feel pity for you, so I desire to make changes.
Shiyan seyo kuchi de nani goto yuta tote
Tashikani shoko nakuba ikan de 10-73
Ponder, whatever is said by mouth,
if there is no sure proof, it will not do.
Tsukihi yori tainai yori mo irikonde
Juyojizai no sashizu shoko ya 10-74
God has entered this body
and instructs freely and unlimitedly. This is proof (talking of Oyasama).
Soreyue ni imamade doko ni nai koto o
Bakari yuute hajime kakeru de 10-75
Because of this, I begin things,
speaking solely about things which have never existed anywhere.
Imamade mo nai koto bakari yu no mo na
Kore mo Tsukihi no mina oshie ya de 10-76
Though I speak solely about things which have never existed,
they are all the teachings of God.
Konotabi no Kanrodai to yu no mo na
Kore mo imamade shiran koto ya de 10-77
The matter of the Kanrodai at this time
is also that which has been unknown before.
Dono yona koto o yu no mo mina Tsukihi
Shiran koto oba oshietai kara 10-78
Whatever is said, it is all by God.
Because unknown things, God wants to teach.
Kono yashiki Kanrodai o sueru no wa
Ningen hajime kaketa shoko 10-79
That I place the Kanrodai in this residence
is proof that I began human beings.
Nani goto mo mina kono tori hajime kake
Sekaiju no kokoro sumasuru 10-80
In everything, it is all this way that I begin to work. (praying toward Kanrodai) . I will begin to purify the minds of the world.
Nichinichi ni nandemo sekai ichiretsu o
Isameru moyo bakari suru zo ya 10-81
Day by day, I shall make every effort solely for
the preparations to make everyone in the world spirited.
Dandan to sekai no kokoro isamu nara
Ryuke morotomo mina isami deru 10-82
As the minds of the world are spirited step by step,
the growth of all crops, also, will be spirited (more members to our churches).
Kono kokoro doshite isamu koto naraba
Tsukihi ninsoku Tsurete deru zo ya 10-83
To explain how these minds are to be spirited,
God will go forth taking my workers along (teaching and performing the Joyous Service).
Soremade ni atchi kotchi to dono yona
Hanashi dandan mina kiku de aro 10-84
Until then, you will all hear of various talks
here and there little by little.
Kono yona hanashi kiku no mo mina saki i
Yute aru zo ya shiyan shite miyo 10-85
Whatever you hear, I told of it all beforehand.

sukihi niwa nani o dandan yuwareru to
Omou de aro saki no tanoshimi 10-86
God is thought to speak of everything little by little.
The future is promising.
Nani goto mo Tsukihi no kokoro omou niwa
Nihon ni koki hoshii koto kara 10-87
Above all, the mind of God
desires a divine record for nihon.
(Nihon nimo) (koki o tashika) (koshiraete)
(Sore hirometara) (kara wa mama nari) 10-88
Nihon also, if the divine record is made
and that is propagated, I will do as I wish to Kara (place illness as guidance).
(Kono hanashi) (nanto omote) (mina no mono)
(Nihon no mono wa) (mina waga koto ya) 10-89
This talk, what are you all thinking?
The people of Nihon, they are all selfish.
(Sore shirazu) (nanto omote) (kami taru wa)
(Mune ga wakaran) (Tsukihi zannen) 10-90
Unaware of this, what are they thinking? The high mountains
Oh, the regret of God. cannot understand the heart.
(Kono tokoro) (dono yona koki) (shitaru tomo)
Kore wa nihon no takara naru zo ya 10-91
This place, Whatever divine record is accomplished,
This will be Nihon’s gathering place.
Ichiretsu no kokoro sadamete shiyan seyo
Hayaku koki o matsu yoni seyo 10-92
All humankind, settle your minds and ponder.
quickly prepare to wait for the Divine Record (1887) .
Shinjitsu no koki ga deketa koto naraba
Donna koto demo Tsukihi hiromeru 10-93
When the divine record has been accomplished (1887)
God will spread everything whatever.
Tsukihi yori hirome o suru to yuta tote
Mina no kokoro wa shochi dekemai 10-94
Though I say that God will spread it,
the minds of all of you may not understand.
Soreyue ni toritsugi yori ni shikkari to
Tanomi oku kara shochi shite iyo 10-95
In this regard, I firmly request you, my intermediaries.
From within, Please comply.
Kono higara kokugen kitaru koto naraba
Nandoki Tsukihi doko it iku yara 10-96
When the day of the appointed time comes (1887) ,
there will be no knowing when or where God will go.
Nichinichi ni toritsugi no hito shikkari to
Kokoro shizumete hayaku kakare yo 10-97
Day by day, calm your minds firmly, my intermediaries,
and begin quickly.
Kono michi wa doyu ni mina no mono
Omote iru yara choto ni wakaran 10-98
What are you thinking of this path?
You do not understand.
Tsukihi niwa nandemo kademo shinjitsu o
Kokoro shikkari torinukeru de 10-99
By all means, God will complete this path,
holding fast to the mind of sincerity.
Kono michi o kami e nuketaru koto naraba
Juyojizai no hataraki o suru 10-100
When this path has reached the high places,
I shall do my free and unlimited workings.
Tsukihi yori kono hataraki o shikaketara
Ikana goteki taru to yutemo 10-101
When God begins the workings,
What ever opposition person there is said to be,
Kokoro yori shinjitsu wakari sumikirite
Donna koto demo oya ni motareru 10-102
From the mind, he will truly understand (the heart/soul) and be purified
and will lean on the parent in all matters.
Konosaki wa Sekaiju wa dokomade mo
Yokizukume ni mina shite kakaru 10-103
Hereafter, in the world, I will show everyone
joy wherever they are.
Dandan to kono michisuji no yotai wa
Mina waga koto to omote shiyan se 10-104

Summary: Chapter 10 God says he will purify the minds of Kara and Tenjiku
God will enter their bodies, and give them guidance.
God will begin to favor nihon. God will teach them everything, and make one spirited.
When the Kanrodai is completed (when all mankind purified), there will be no illness and death.
Kara has been rampant, and God will now give returns. God will guide them with illness to purify their minds.
God waits for the service performers to pray. When they pray, new members will come to them at the residence. The purpose is to share the religion, so all minds can become pure.
What kind of service (prayer) will it be. God says it is the Kanrodai service (prayer directed toward the Kanrodai). This has many significance.
The Kanrodai stand represents the existence of the original parent of mankind (Oyasama). God says that Oyasama is living. Proof that Oyasama is alive and ever-living at the location of creation.
God says that God compares Oyasama’s mind with the prayer(s), and if the mind is pure, God provides the blessings.
God saying that he is preparing for the service when all mankind is purified. The final service members are the 10 instruments used in the creation of mankind. When all mankind is purified, the Kanrodai pillar will be constructed. The ten performers will pray (Kanrodai/Joyous Service). From heaven, the gift of heaven will then be provided to the Kanrodai/Oyasama. Oyasama will then provide the blessings to the world. There will be everlasting joy in the world.
God says that he will begin to teach. God says we need to know the Origin why mankind was created. He tells us that we need to return to the origin, when mankind was created. This origin is the pure mind of God.
When one knows the origin, God will assure us wherever we go.
God says that our parents are the earth and heaven. In creating humans, God took qualities of sea life in the oceans and combined them to create human beings; but he also added the pure mind of God from heaven. This is why God wants us to go back to the origin to find the pure heart.
God want everyone to know about the innermost heart. The innermost heart (soul) was originally pure. The pure heart only produces joy. But man’s evil thoughts have surrounded his or her heart (soul), and these evils surrounding the heart (soul) brings upon suffering. God wants people to know how this process works (causality, karma, or innen).
When the innermost heart of the world is pure, everyone will become spirited. When everyone is spirited, God will teach them everything.
God says what he has talked about has not been seen yet, but will soon come and be seen naturally. One will begin to see the results of God working (1887). Will see people with illness coming to our places of worship.
God saying that if illness comes, it is God’s guidance. God tells us to reflect on whatever happens. It may be God’s guidance.
TENRIKYO TENRIKYO TENRIKYO TENRIKYO
