OFUDESAKI/CHAPTER 7 /  1876 TENRIKYO

(Tsukihi yori) (sanjuu hachi nen) (izen nite)      *-

(amakudari taru) (moto no innen) 7-1

God from, 38 years ago by

descending from heaven to those (who have)  the Origin’s causality.

* God descended in 1838 to the Nakayama residence. There lived the instruments used in the creation of human beings

(Tsukihi yori) (sono innen ga) (aru yue ni)     *-

(nanika isai o) (hanashitai kara) 7-2

From God, that causality exist to say.

Whatever details I would like to talk.

(kami taru wa) (sore o shirazu ni) (nani goto mo)    *-

(sekainami ya to) (omote iru nari ) 7-3

Those in high places, that they do not know, of any thing.

Worldly common, they are thinking, as a result.

(kono tokoro) (moto naru Jiba no) (koto naraba)    *-

(Hajimari dashi o) ( shiran koto nashi) 7-4

This place, the Origin becoming locality, if it is realized.

The beginning revelation, unknown about, will be nonexistent. 

(kami taru e) (kono shinjitsu o) (hayabaya to).  *-

(shirashite yaro to) (Tsukihi omoedo) 7-5

Those in high places, this Original mind, to quickly 

to teach, are God’s thoughts.

(kami taru wa) (sore o shirazu ni) (meimei no)     *-

(waga mi shiyan o) (bakari omote) 7-6

Those in high places, that they do not know. Each

*do not know the Original mind

of their own body, they are thinking about only.

(Tsukihi niwa) (dandan mieru) (michisuji ni)     *-

(kowaki abunaki) (michi ga aru node) 7-7

To God, more and more is seen the path one is on.

Dreadful dangerous paths, there are.

(Tsukihi yori) (sono michi hayaku) (shirasou to)     *-

(omote shinpai) (shiteiru to koso) 7-8

From God, that path quickly to let you know,

thinking. Worrying for sure.

(ningen no) (waga ko omou mo) (onaji koto)    *-

(kowaki abunaki) (michi o anjiru) 7-9

Human’s own doings and thinking also, are about the same. 

The dreadful dangerous path (you are on), to be anxious.

(sore shirazu) (mina ichiretsu wa) (meimei ni)      *-

(mina ukkari to) (kurashi iru nari) 7-10

Unaware of that, all everyone, to each

all carelessly living, resulting in.

(kono sekai) (nanika yorozu o) (ichiretsu ni)      *-

(Tsukihi shihai o) (suru to omoe yo) 7-11

This world, whatever all, to everyone,

God will guide ever, think about it.

(kono hanashi) (douyuu koto ni) (omou kana)    *-

(korekara saki no) (michi o mite iyo) 7-12

(dona youna) (takai yama demo) (mizu ga tsuku)    *-

(tanisoko ya tote) (abunage wa nai) 7-13

What kind of high the mountain there is, water will reach it.

In the low valleys to receive (water), danger is nonexistent.

(nanimo kamo) (Tsukihi shihai o) (suru kara wa)     *-

(koremade mo) (nandemo yougi) (hoshii kara)     *-

quickly understand it. If it occurs,

*fate comes from the heart. If we understand this, we can purify our minds to attain the Original mind.

(sorekara wa) (Tsukihi yorozu) (shihai suru)    *-

(nanika yorozu no) (tasuke suru zo ya) 7-28

Then God, all will guide over.

Whatever all, will save.

(kono tasuke) (hayaku riyaku o) (misetasa ni)      *-

(Tsukihi no kokoro) (seku bakari ya de) 7-29

This salvation, quickly the blessing I want to show.

God’s mind hastens only.

(nanimo kamo) (kono sekikomi ga) (aru yue ni)     *-

(mune no uchi yori) (souji sogu de) 7-30

In all matters, this hastening, it is said to exist.

From what comes from the innermost heart, hurry sweeping.

*one only needs to calm the mind and not act on evil thoughts when the soul/heart brings upon inconveniences. By this process, our minds are swept of the dusts.

(kono hanashi) (doko no koto ya to) (omouna yo)     *-

Each of you, from what comes from the innermost heart, firmly

the Original mind, show it.  Immediately it will be seen.

*do not act on the evil thoughts when the heart brings forth obstacles. When the Original mind is attained, God will provide blessings

(Tsukihi yori) (kono sekikomu ga) (aru yue ni)     *-

(nanika kokoro wa) (isogashii koto) 7-33

From God, this hastening exist, I say.

In anything (my) mind is busy

(kore saika) (hayaku juuyou) (miseta nara)    * – 

(Tsukihi no kokoro) (hitori isamu ni) 7-34

This circumstance, quickly if the blessings are shown,

God’s mind, by itself will be spirited.

(imamade mo) (ima ga kono yo no) (hajimari to)    *-

(yuute aredomo) (nanno koto yara) 7-35

Even until now, now is this world’s beginning,

I have said. Yet what does it mean.

(konotabi no) (juuyojizai de) (tokushin se)      *-

(imamade konna) (koto wa shiromai) 7-36

(Tsukihi yori) (tainai yori mo) (irikonde)     *-

(juuyojizai o mina) (shite miseru) 7-37

(juuyojizai o) (hayaku shirasuru) 7-39

Hereafter, whenever it occurs, by this truth,

*when the Original mind occurs

the blessing, I will quickly show you.

(imamade mo) (ika naru michi mo) (tourita ga)     *-

(obiya tasuke no) (tameshi hajime ya) 7-40

Until now, every kind of path you have gone through.

Safe birth salvation’s test I will begin.

(konotabi wa) (Obiya tasuke no) (shinjitsu o)       *-

(hayaku tasuke o) (Tsukihi sekedomo) 7-41

This time, Safe birth salvation, to attain the Original mind.

*God’s purpose in granting this salvation is to hasten the purification of the mind

Quickly the salvation, God hastens.

(ichiretsu wa) (imamade shiran) (koto ya kara)    *-

(mina jikkuri to) (izumi iru nari) 7-42

Everyone, until now, you did not know this matter. Because

all were hesitant, and depressed, as a result.

(shinjitsu ni) (kokoro sadamete) (negau nara)     *-

(juuyojizai ni) (ima no maa nimo)  7-43

To attain the Original mind, settle the mind. If you pray

for free & unlimited blessing, now is the time.

(kono koto wa) (tare demo shiranu) (koto ya kara)   *-

(mune ga wakaran) (Tsukihi zannen) 7-44

This matter no one knows of this because

the heart is not understood. The regret of God.

*the path of the heart will settle the mind

(imamade wa) (nani yono koto mo) (mienedomo)   *-

(korekara saki wa) (hayaku mieru) 7-45

Until now, what kind of matters, you were not able to see. But

from now on, the future you will quickly see.

*by God’s guidance, one is able to see what will occur in the future

(shinjitsu no) (kokoro aru nara) (nani nari to)        *-

(hayaku negae yo) (suguni kanau de) 7-46

The Original mind, if the mind has. Whatever occurs, 

quickly pray.  Immediately I shall respond.

(dono youna) (koto wa ikan to) (yuwan de na)    *-

(tasuke ichijo) (seete iru kara) 7-47

Whatever kind of matter, not possible I do not say.

Single salvation, I am hastening.

(kora hodoni) (Tsukihi no kokoro) (sekikomedo)    *-

(soba no kokoro wa) (nande izumudo) 7-48

Devoting to the extent, God’s mind is hastening.

Those near me, why are your minds depressed?

(hayabaya to) (kokoro isande) (sekikome yo)    *-

(Tsukihi machikane) (kore o shiran ka) 7-49

Quickly the mind make spirited. Hasten it!

God waits, This don’t you know?

(Tsukihi yori) (juuyojizai o) (shinjitsu ni)       *-

(hayaku misetai) (kore ga ichijo) 7-50

From God, the blessings, to attain the Original mind, 

*God places illness as guidance, to help one attain the Original mind

quickly like to show. This is foremost.

(kora hodoni) (omou Tsukihi no) (shinjitsu o)     *-

(soba no kokoro wa) (mada sekainami) 7-51

Devoting to the extent, God thinking about the Original mind..

Those near, their minds are still worldly common.

*they think about themselves

(kono youna) (koto o yuu mo) (ningen no)    *-

(kokoro dewa nai) (Tsukihi kokoro ya) 7-52

This  kind of matter I say, human’s

mind it is not. It is God’s mind!

(imamade wa) (nani o yuutemo) (ningen no)      *-

(kokoro ga majiru) (youni omoute) 7-53

Until now, whatever I said, human’s

mind was mixed, you thought.

(shikato kike) (korekara kokoro) (irekaete)    *-

(ningen gokoro) (aru to omouna) 7-54

Listen clearly, from now on, the mind replace it.

Human mind to exist, do not think.

*God does not have a human mind

(imamade wa) (onaji ningen) (naru youni)    *-

(omote iru kara) (nanimo wakaran) 7-55

(korekara wa) (nani o yuu nimo) (nasu koto mo)    *-

(kowami abunaki) (nai to omoe yo) 7-58

Hereafter, what kind of  things I may say,

fear and danger are nonexistent. Think about it.

(korekara wa) (Tsukihi debari o) (suru hodoni)   *-

(donna koto demo) (kayashi shite yaru) 7-59

From now on, God will go out. Because

in whatever matters, I will give returns.

(Tsukihi yori) (Koremade naru no) (zannen wa)     *-

(yamayama tsumori) (kasanarite aru) 7-60

From God, up to now, the occurring  regret

has mountainously accumulated and piled up.

(ika hodoni) (zannen tsumori) (aru totemo)    *-

(douse kouse wa) (yuu de nai zo ya) 7-61

No matter how much regret is accumulated, although

in any case, to do like this, I say is nonexistent.

(korekara wa) (dono yona takai) (tokoro demo)    *-

(kono shinjitsu o) (hayaku misetai) 7-62

This Original mind, quickly to show you.

(kami taru no) (kokoro sumiyaka) (wakaritara)    *-

(Tsukihi juuyou) (hayaku suru no ni) 7-63

Those upper society’s mind, if they quickly understand

God’s blessings I will quickly do.

*this is why we need to spread the teachings to the upper reaches of society first

(Tsukihi yori) (kono juuyou o) (sekaijuu e)      *-

(hayaku ichiretsu) (shirashitaru nara) 7-64

From God, these blessing throughout the world

quickly to everyone, if they are shown.

(konotabi no) (haramite iru o) (uchi naru wa)     *-

(nanto omoute) (machite iru yara) 7-65

This time’s pregnancy that exist, within to occur,

what are your thoughts, while you are waiting?

(kore bakari) (hitonami ya towa) (omouna yo)      *-

(nandemo Tsukihi) (erai omowaku) 7-66

This only, ordinary do not think.

In all matters, God has profound expectations.

(kono moto wa) (roku nen izen ni) (san gatsu no)        *-

(juu go nichi yori) (mukai torita de) 7-67

The mind of God, there is great hastening.

(donna mono demo) (kanau mono nashi) 7-76

(mina shinjitsu ni) (yuute kikasuru) 7-79

to all, the Original mind I tell and make you listen.

(korekara wa) (obiya tasuke mo) (shikkari to)      *-

(setsunami nashi ni) (hayaku umasuru) 7-80

From now on, childbirth salvation reliably

without pain, quickly you will deliver.

(dandan to) (kuchi de nani goto) (yuuta tote)   *-

(Tsukihi yuu yoni) (seneba ikan de) 7-81

(Tsukihi yori) (nanino koto demo) (shikkari to)     *-

(yuu youni seyo) (chigau koto nashi) 7-82

From God, whatever matter, firmly

do what I say. There is never an error.

(dono youna) (tasuke suru no mo) (mina Tsutome)     *-

(Tsukihi yuu yoni) (tashika suru nara) 7-83

Any kind of salvation done, is all by the Service.

God says like, if it is certainly done.

(shinjitsu no) (kokoro aru nara) (Tsukihi nimo)

(shikato ukeyai) (tasuke suru zo ya) 7-84       *-

The Original mind, the mind if you have it. God 

firmly assures to do salvation.

(konotabi wa) (tasuke suru no mo) (shinjitsu ni)     *-

(ukeyote tasuke) (ima ga hajime ya) 7-85

This time, the salvation I will do. If  the Original mind

is received, the salvation now I will begin.

(kora hodoni) (Tsukihi no kokoro) (seete iru)     *-

(soba no kokoro mo) (Tsutome koshirae) 7-86

Devoting to the extent, God’s mind, hastening exist,

The minds close to me, the Service prepare for.

(kono moyou)( nani bakari dewa) (nai hodoni)       *-

(donna koto demo) (mina Tsutome ya de) 7-87

This preparation, what only it is not, because

whatever matters however, it is all the Service.

(tsutome demo) (onaji koto dewa) (nai hodoni)   *-

(mina sorezore to) (tee o oshieru) 7-88

The Services however, the same matter they are not, because

all each, the hands I will teach.

(imamade no) (michi no sugara to) (yuu mono wa)     *-

(douyuu michi mo) (shirita mono nashi) 7-89

Until now, the path that one relies on that is said about.

What path (one is on), there is no one who knows.

*the end result of the path, no one knows

(korekara wa) (dono yona michi mo) (dandan to)  *-

yorozu michisuji mina yute kikasu 7-90

From now on, what kind of path, step by step

all paths, all I shall tell and explain.

(Tsukihi yori) (nanimo michisuji) (kiita nara)   *-

(kono zannen wa) (muri de arumai) 7-91

From God, if any paths are listened to.

*many of the paths where evil action occurs, result in suffering for the self in the future

This regret, unreasonable it is not.

*this regret refers to God’s regret

(Tsukihi yori) (kono ichijou o) (harashitara)   *-

(ato no tokoro wa) (youkizukume ya) 7-92

From God, this one matter is cleared away,

*This one matter refers to God’s regret

after as a result, complete joy.

(nichinichi ni) (youkizukume to) (yuu no wa na)    *-

(ika naru koto ya) (tare mo shiromai) 7-93

Day by day, complete joy that is said,

how it will occur, no one knows.

(nanimo kamo) (youki to yuu wa) (mina Tsutome)    *-

(mezurashi koto o) (mina oshieru de) 7-94

In everything, joy to say is all the Service.

Marvelous things, all will be taught.

(dandan to) (Tsutome oshieru) (kono moyou)   *-

(mune no uchi yori) (mina souji suru) 7-95

Little by little, the Service I will teach. For this preparation,

what comes from the innermost heart, all will sweep (the mind).

*obstacles come from our hearts. *sweep the dusts from your minds

(ato naru wa) (nichinichi kokoro) (isamu de na)   *-

(yorozu no Tsutome) (tee o tsukeru de) 7-96

Afterwards, day by day the mind will become spirited.

*the mind becomes pure

The world’s Service, your hands, perform it.

*after the mind is pure, then perform the Service

(kono Tsutome) (douyuu koto ni) (omou kana)    *-

(obiya houso no) (tasuke ichijou) 7-97

This Service, what is it about you may wonder.

Safe childbirth, small pox’s single salvation.

(kono tasuke) (ika naru koto to) (omou kana)    *-

(hoso sen) (yono Tsutome oshieru) 7-98

This salvation, how will it occur, you may be wonder.

Free from smallpox, kind of Service I will teach.

(kono michi o) (hayaku oshieru) (kono Tsutome)      *-

(sekai ichiretsu) (kokoro sumasuru) 7-99

This path I will teach quickly. By this Service,

the world, everyone, the minds will be purified.

(kono hanashi) (douyuu koto ni) (kiite iru)     *-

(sekai tasukeru) (moyou bakari o) 7-100

This talk, how are you are hearing it to be?

The world I will save, to prepare only.

(dono youna) (tasuke suru no mo) (shinjitsu no)   *-

(Oya ga iru kara) (mina hikiukeru) 7-101

Whatever kind of salvation I will do, because the Original mind’s

Parent exist. All will be assured.

(kono koto o) (kore o makoto ni) (omou nara)        *-

(makoto shinjitsu) (kokoro shidai ya) 7-102

This matter, this is the truth, if you think.

The truth, the Original mind, the mind depends on it.

(kokoro sai) (shinjitsu sunda) (koto naraba)     *-

(donna koto demo) (chigau koto nashi) 7-103

The mind, on the occasion the Original mind  is completed, if this happens,

whatever matter, there is no failure.

(imamade wa) (Tsukihi ika hodo) (omoutemo)   *-

(soba no kokoro ni) (wakari nai node) 7-104

Until now, God, how much you have thought,

those near me, their minds they cannot understand.

(korekara wa) (dono yona Tsutome) (oshieru mo)     *-

(ningen naru no) (kokoro dewa nai) 7-105

From now on, whatever Service I may teach,

human consisting of mind, it is not.

(Tsukihi yori) (dono yona koto mo) (oshieru de)     *-

(kono yo hajimete) (nai koto bakari) 7-106

From God, whatever kind of things, I will teach.

This world’s beginning, nonexistent things only.

(ningen no) (kokoro de omou) (youna koto)    *-

(Tsukihi wa nanimo) (yuu de nai zo ya) 7-107

Human’s mind’s thinking  kind of things,

God, anything will say, will not.

(Tsukihi niwa) (dono yona koto mo) (ichiretsu ni)     *-

(mina ni oshiete) (youkizukume ni) 7-108

To God, every kind of things, to everyone,

all will teach for complete joy.

(sekaijuu) (mina ichiretsu wa) (sumikirite)    *-

(youkizukume ni) (kurasu koto nara) 7-109

The world, all everyone is purified.

Complete joy to live to occur as a result.

(Tsukihi nimo) (tashika kokoro ga) (isamu nara)   *-

(ningen naru mo) (mina onaji koto) 7-110

God also, if certainly the mind becomes spirited.

Humans, as a result, all the conditions are the same.

(Kono you no) (sekai no kokoro) (isamu nara)    *-

(Tsukihi ningen) (onaji koto ya de) 7-111

By these workings,  if the world’s mind are spirited,

God and human being, the conditions are the same.
