OFUDESAKI/CHAPTER 11/1875  Kokan passes away TENRIKYO

(Mune saki e) (kibishiku tsukae) (kitaru nara)

(Tsukihi no kokoro) (sekikomi de aru)   11-1

Anterior chest, severe pressure, comes upon,

God’s mind, there is hastening.

(Konosaki wa) (ichirestsu naru ni) (dandan to)

(Minouchi sawari) (mina tsuku de aro) 11-2

Hereafter, to everyone will occur, step by step

disorders within the body, all of you may acquire.

(Dono yona) (sawari tsuitemo) (anjina yo)

(Tsukihi no kokoro) (erai omowaku) 11-3

Whatever disorders may appear, do not worry,

God’s mind, great intention exist.

(Minouchi ni) (sawari tsuitemo) (meme no)

(Kokoro sorezore) (mina wakeru de na) 11-4

Within the body, disorder may come.  Each individual

mind  respectively all will be distinguished.

(Shinjitsu ni) (omou kokoro to) (meimei no)

(Shiyan bakari o) (omoi iru to o) 11-5

True sincerity thinking mind,  and oneself

thinking about only…

(Tsukihi niwa) (dono yona kokoro) (iru mono mo)

(Konotabi shikato) (wakete miseru de) 11-6

From God, whatever kind of mind one may have,

this time clearly it will be distinguished and seen.

(Dono yona) (kokoro mo shikato) (mite iru de)

(Tsukihi Konotabi) (mina wakeru de na) 11-7

Whatever mind  will be clearly seen.

God, this time will distinguish them all.

(Kuchi saki no) (tsuisho bakari wa) (iran mono)

(Kokoro no makoto) (Tsukihi mite iru) 11-8

Lip service, only following, is unwanted.

The mind of sincerity, God is looking at.

(Koremade mo) (iroiro hanashi) (toitaredo)

(Honshinjitsu ga) (miete nai node) 11-9

Even until now, variety of talks, I have explained.

The real truths although have not been seen.

(Kyonohi wa) (nanino hanashi o) (shitaru tomo)

(Chigau yo naru) (koto wa yuwanedo) 11-10

Today, whatever talks I may give,

things that become false, I shall never tell.

(Tsukihi yori) (ichido yute) (oita nara)

(Itsu ni naritemo) (chigau koto nashi) 11-11

From God, once said, if put in place,

throughout time, will never be false.

(Sore shirazu) (soba no kokoro wa) (tare nitemo)

(Sekainami naru) (yoni omote) 11-12

Unaware of this, the minds near, whoever

worldly common  they are thinking.

(Konotabi no) (nayamu tokoro de) (tokushin se)

(Mina no kokoro mo) (meme kokoro mo) 11-13

This time from the place of the suffering, be convinced

all of you minds, it is about the individual mind.

(Kono koto o) (juyojizai wa) (chigawanedo)

(Mina no kokoro ni) (shochi nakeneba) 11-14

This matter, for the blessing, to have no failures.

All of your minds, there must be pondering.

(Ichiretsu ni) (shochi o shitaru) (koto naraba)

(Tsukihi ukeyote) (tashika tasukeru) 11-15

In everyone, pondering is done, when this occurs,

God will assuredly certainly save her.

(Kono tasuke) (doyu koto ni) (omou kana)

(Mikka me niwa) (soto i deru yo) 11-16

This salvation, what matter are you thinking?

In 3 days, she will go outside (related to Kokan’s illness).

(Koremade mo) (Tsukihi to yute) (dandan to)

(Hanashi mo toite) (kitaru naredomo) 11-17

Until now, God saying, step by step

talk was explain, it came but…

(Mada shin no) (tokoro wa sarani) (wakarumai)

(Konotabi donna) (koto mo arawasu) 11-18

Still the Original mind, the location you cannot even understand.

This time, whatever matter will be revealed.

(Hanashi demo) (onashi tokoro de) (yu naraba)

(Nando ningen) (gokoro naru yo) 11-19

Even with my talks,  the same place, if I say it at,

How often, human thinking you believe it will be.

(Mina no mono) (omou kokoro wa) (Kinodoku ya)

(Konotabi tokoro) (kaete hanashi o) 11-20

All of you, the thinking of your mind is pitiful.

This time, the location I will  change to talk.

(Kore kiite) (ikana mono demo) (tokushin se)

(Tsukihi juyo) (mina kono dori) 11-21

On hearing this, whatever person, be convinced.

God’s blessing, all is about this Service (odori).

(Tainai e) (Tsukihi irikomi) (juy0 o)

(Yute iredomo) (shochi arumai) 11-22

Inside the body, God enters. The blessing

are said to be placed, but pondering does not exist.

(Konosaki wa) (seeippai ni) (dandan to)

(Kotowarite ue) (kakaru koto nari )11-23

Henceforth, given you many, step by step,

warnings upon you, I will begin this matter.

(Tsukihi yori) (araware deru to) (yuta tote)

(Dandan nanimo) (kotowarite ue) 11-24

Though I say God makes things manifest,

it is only after giving every notice (thru Ofudesaki) of it step by step.

(Konotabi no) (nayamite iru o) (yamai ya to)

(Omote iru no wa) (kore wa chigau de) 11-25

This times suffering that exist, illness,

you are thinking exist. This is wrong.

(Kore bakari) (yamai nazo towa) (omouna yo)

(Tsukihi juyo) (shirashitai yue) 11-26

This only, is not just illness, do not think.

God’s blessing I want to show I say.

(Nanimo kamo) (dono yona koto mo) (shirasuru wa)

(Saki no omowaku) (aru kara no koto) 11-27

In whatever matter, I will let you know

There is a future expectation, that exist of this matter.

(Kono hanashi) (doyu koto de) (aru naraba)

(Saki no yorozu wa) (Tsukihi hikiuke) 11-28

This talk, what kind of matter exist.

In the future, in all, God will take charge.

(Tsukihi yori) (hikiuke suru to) (yu no mo na)

(Moto no innen aru) (kara no koto) 11-29

From God, will take charge that is said,

the causality of the Origin exist, this is the reason.

(Innen mo) (doyu koto de) (aru naraba)

(Ningen hajime) (moto no dogu ya) 11-30

Causality also, by what matter does it exist?

The creation of human beings, she is the instrument of the Origin.

(Kono mono ni) (Tsukihi yorozu no) (shikomu suru)

(Sore de Mezurashi) (tasuke suru no ya) 11-31

This person, God, all things, will train.

By that, marvelous salvation will be done.

(Kono koto wa) (choto no koto ya to) (omouna yo)

(Kore wa nihon no) (koki naru no ya) 11-32

This matter, trivial do not think.

This will become Nihon’s divine record.

Are inde) (kora hodo nanino) (sukiyaka ni)

(Tasukaru koto o) (hayaku shiritara) 11-33

To have her go home,  to what extent quickly

the saving matter, if you have known.

(Sore shirazu) (dodo inasazu) (kono toko de)

(Yojo sashite) (okoto omote de) 11-34

Unaware of it, without apology, you would not return her, at this place

curing her, thinking.

(Konna koto) (hayaku shiritaru) (koto naraba)

(Setsunami mo nashi) (shinpai mo nashi) 11-35

This matter if quickly knowing, if this happens

there will be no suffering, also no anxiety.

(Ningen wa) (azanai mono de) (aru karani)

(Tsukihi yuwareru) (koto o somuita) 11-36

Human beings, are shallow beings that exist.

God’s sayings, the words they disobey.

(Korekara wa) (donna koto demo) (Tsukihi niwa)

(Motare tsukaneba) (naran koto ya de) 11-37

From now on, whatever happens, to God

one manages to lean upon, there is nothing that cannot be realized.

(Dono yona) (koto o suru nimo) (Tsukihi nite)

(Motarete ireba) (abunage wa nai)11-38

In whatever, matter I do, to God

if one leans upon, there will be no danger.

(Kono yona) (kekko naru no) (michisuji o)

(Shirazu ni ita ga) (ato no kokwai) 11-39

This kind of splendid becoming path,

which you did not know exist, has led to your remorse.

(Konosaki wa) (dono yona koto o) (yuware temo)

(Tsukihi yuwareru) (koto wa somukan) 11-40

Hereafter whatever matter you are told,

what God says about any matter, one must not disobey.

(Tsukihi yori) (yashiro to naru no) (muna saki no)

(Tsukaete aru o) (nanto omou zo) 11-41

From God, the one to become the Shrine (of God), anterior heart

there is blockage. What are you thinking?

(Kono tsukae) (hitonami naru to)(omouna yo)

(Tsukihi no kokoro) (makoto shinpai) 11-42

This blockage, to be ordinary, do not think!

God’s mind, is truly worried.

(Sore shirazu) (mina ichiretsu wa) (meme ni)

(Waga mi shiyan de) (shigoto bakari o) 11-43

Unaware of this , all everyone, each of you

your own outlook, you attend to only.

(Tsukihi niwa) (dono yona michi mo) (miete aru)

(Sekaiju wa) (sore o omowazu) 11-44

To God, every kind of path, is seen

To the world,  that is without awareness.

(Kono michi o) (kodomo ichirestsu) (shiyan seyo)

(Dono yona michi ga) (aru ya shiren de) 11-45

This path, my children everyone, Ponder over it. 

What kind of path this is, you do not know.

(Dono yona) (koto demo saki e) (shirashi oku)

(Ato de kokwai) (naki yoni seyo) 11-46

In what kind of matter, in advance I will let you know.

afterwards, remorseful not to have it.

(Konna koto) (nani o yu ya to) (mina no mono)

(Omou de aro) (kodomo kawai) 11-47

All of you may be wondering why I say such things.

It is from my love for my children.

(Sekaiju) (oku no kodomo) (mune no uchi)

(Wakaru moyo ga) (kore wa nai ka yo) 11-48

The world, many of the children, the innermost heart

the preparation to understand it, does this not exist?

(Kono yona) (koto o kudokudo) (yu no mo na)

(Michi o anjite) (iru moyo kara) 11-49

These kind of things I repeatedly say is because

the path that leads to fearful conditions exist.

(Korekara wa) (dono yona koto mo) (yute kikasu)

(Kore o kanarazu) (uso to omouna) 11-50

From now on,  what kind of things, I will inform you.

with certainty. Never think of it as being false.

(Konotabi no) (Tsukihi no shigoto) (shikato kike)

(Ashiki no yona) (koto wa sen zo ya) 11-51

This time, God’s work, hear me clearly.

Evil kinds of things, I will not do.

(Dodo shite) (Mezurashi tasuke) (oshietasa)

(Sokode kakarita) (shigoto naru zo ya) 11-52

Repeatedly done, marvelous salvation I instruct.

Therefore, I begin workings that will become.

(Imamade to) (kokoro shikkari) (irekaete)

(Yokizukume no) (kokoro naru yo) 11-53

Until now, the mind firmly replaced,

complete joy, the mind will become.

(Kono kokoro) (doshite naru to) (omou kana)

(Tsukihi tainai) (irikonde nara) 11-54

This mind, how is it to become you think

God, inside the body if she enters it.

(Nichinichi ni) (hitori kokoro ga) (isamu nari)

(Yokizukume no) (kokoro naru yo) 11-55

Day by day, the mind by itself,  will be spirited.

Complete joy, the mind will become.

(Tsukihi yori) (Nichinichi kokoro) (isame kake)

(Yokizukome ni) (shite kakaru de na) 11-56

From God, day by day, the mind will make spirited.

Complete joy, will start to begin.

(Kono hanashi) (nanto omote) (kiite iru)

(Tasuke ichijo no) (moyo bakari o) 11-57

This talk, what are your thoughts, on hearing this?

Solely the salvation, the preparation only.

(Tsukihi yori) (donna koto demo) (mite iru de)

(Nani o yutemo) (mina shochi seyo) 11-58

From God, what ever matters, is seen

Whatever is said,  you must all ponder.

(Kotoshikara) (shichiju nen wa) (fufu tomo)

(Yamazu yowarazu) (kurasu koto nara) 11-59

From this year forward, 75 years, both husband and wife

without illness, or weakening, to live on if this happens,

(Soreyori no) (tanoshimi naru wa) (arumai na)

(Kore o makoto ni) (tanoshunde iyo) 11-60

However, the pleasure that will become, has not existed.

This truly look forward to it.

(Tsukihi niwa) (imamade doko ni) (nai koto o)

(Bakari yu zo ya) (shochi shite kike) 11-61

To God, until today, at any places, never known matters

only will say. Ponder and listen.

(Kono yona) (nai koto bakari) (yu keredo)

(Saki o mite iyo) (mina makoto ya de) 11-62

This kind of unknown matters, only I speak but

watch the future, all is the truth.

(Nani bun ni) (Mezurashi koto o) (suru kara wa)

(Ikana hanashi mo) (nai koto bakari) 11-63

What kind of marvelous things I will do.

Whatever sort of  talks that do not exist only.

(Dono yoni) (nai koto bakari) (yuta tote)

(Saki o mite iyo) (mieru fushigi ya) 11-64

Any kind of things that do not exist, I say

Watch the future, You will see miracles.

(Ima naru no) (nayamite iru wa) (tsurakeredo)

(Korekara saki wa) (kokoro danoshimi) 11-65

The present becoming suffering is trying.

From now on, the future, the mind will delighted.

(Kono yona) (hanashi kudokudo) (yu no mo na)

(Kore wa matsudai) (koki naru no ya) 11-66

This kind of talk given repeatedly, that is said.

This is eternal, the divine record to become.

(Tsukihi yori) (Konotabi koko de) (arawarete)

(Donna koto om0) (hanashi suru no wa) 11-67

From God, this time at this place I reveal myself

Any important matter, I will speak.

(Dono yona) (koto mo Dandan) (shirashitasa)

(Nihon no koki) (mina koshiraeru) 11-68

What kind of matter, step by step, I will teach.

Nihon’s divine record,  all I will make.

(Kono yo no) (hajimari dashi wa) (Yamato nite)

(Yamabe kori no) (shoyashiki nari) 11-69

This world’s  beginning, the start of,  was at Yamato,

of Yamabe County in Yamato Province.

(Sono uchi ni) (Nakayama uji to) (yu yashiki)

(Ningen hajime) (dogu mieru de) 11-70

That house, the Nakayama’s , said to be residence

Human beings started, instruments are seen.

(Kono dogu) (Izanagiii to) (Izanami to)

(unisazuchii to) (Tsukiyomi to nari) 11-71

These instruments are Izanagi (fish/Oyasama), izanami (Zenbei) (serpent),

Kunisazuchi (Kokan), and tsukiyomi (Shuji).

(Tsukihi yori) (sore o misumashi) (amakudari)

(Nanika yorozu o) (shikomu moyo o) 11-72

From God, discerning that, God descended from heaven.

Whatever all prepared to train them.

(Kono tokoro) (nani o suru nimo) (dono yona)

(Koto o suru no mo) (mina Tsukihi nari) 11-73

This place, whatever is done, what kind

of things will be done,  it is all done by God.

(Dono yona) (koto o yu nimo) (mina Tsukihi)

(Soba naru) (mono wa mane o) (shite miyo) 11-74

What kind of matter is said, all is God.

Those who will be near me, imitate me and look.

(Kono yo o) (hajimete karani) (Kyomade wa)

(Honshinjitsu o) (yuta koto nashi) 11-75

This world, since I began it, until now

the real truth has not been told.

(Kyonohi wa) (dono yona koto mo) (shinjitsu o)

(Yuwaneba naran) (yoni naru kara) 11-76

Today, what kind of matters, the truth

must be told, the time has come.

(Meme ni) (nani o yu towa) (omouna yo)

(Tsukihi no omou) (yoni yu no ya) 11-77

From the individual, whatever is said , do not think.

What God is thinking,  I only say.

(Nandoki ni) (kairite kiitemo) (meme no)

(Kokoro aru towa) (sarani omouna) 11-78

Whenever you return to listen, the individual

mind there exist. never think.

(Dono yona) (mono mo shin kara) (tokushin o)

(Sashite kairu de) (kore o mite iyo) 11-79

Whatever kind of person also, from the Original Mind, be convinced

and return, Look at this.

(Ika hodono) (goteki taru mo) (hatsume demo)

(Tsukihi no kokoro) (kore wa kanawan) 11-80

To what extent, how powerful or clever one may be,

God’s mind, this no one can rival.

Chapter 11 Summary

If tightness comes upon your chest, God is hastening you to purify one’s mind.  God will start working step by step. This is God’s guidance.

God telling people that there is only one location where the prayers are directed toward, which is the location of the original mind. God wants the people who are taking care of Kokan (shrine of God) to return her to the residence of God (Jiba). There can not be any other location where our prayers can be directed towards.

God saying that the suffering must be great at this place, but these are God’ guidance. God is warning the people taking care of Kokan.  God warns them to ponder what is happening to her. God assures that she will become healthy if they listen to God.

God tells the early followers that warnings were given, but were not heeded. That is why Kokan suffers. God’s warning to return Kokan to the residence of God so she can be healthy

God promises Kokan will be healthy in 3 days, but no one understands. The people did not return her, and Kokan passes away for rebirth.

God tells the people that her suffering was in vain, and she could have been saved if they listened to God. They need to purify their minds, and lean on God. God never tells anything that is not true.

God says that he sees the mind of the world, and he sees their future; but people do not understand causality, and only have self centered minds.

God explains that Kokan was one of the instrument at creation, and God will continue to train her, and bring upon world salvation.

God telling people that God warns the early followers by the Ofudesaki, and enters their bodies to provide guidance in the form of illness to purify their minds.

God says one can purify his or her mind by God entering the body, and provide guidance in the form of illness. When one ponders over the illness, and removes evil from the mind, the body heals, and one becomes spirited.
