God calls these evils or sins, dusts. They can be swept away.
These evils or sins are the thoughts of greed, arrogance, regret, covetousness, and self-love that many of us have in the mind. Emotions like anger originate from these thoughts.
These negative thoughts that are in our minds cause us to act evil when temptation, inconveniences and sufferings occur in our lives.
God tells us to calm our minds and ponder, and not take action upon these evil thoughts when inconveniences occur. By this process, we can gradually remove the evil thoughts that are in our minds.
