OFUDESAKI/CHAPTER 5 /1874 TENRIKYO

(imamade wa) (gyuuba to yuu wa) (mama aredo)     *-

(ato saki shireta) (koto wa arumai) 5-1

Until now, horses and cattle that is said, this condition exist.

The past and future knowing about is nonexistent.

(konotabi wa) (saki naru koto o) (kono yo kara)     *-

(shirashite oku de) (mi ni sawari miyo) 5-2

This time, future to become matters,  from this lifetime

I shall make it known. Disorders of your bodies, look at it!

(kono you wa) (ika hodo waga mi) (omoutemo)      *-

(Kami no rippuku) (kore wa kanawan) 5-3

These workings, however much oneself, you think about.

God’s anger, this will not be realized.

(Meimei ni) (waga mi shiyan wa) (iran mono)      *-

(Kami ga sorezore) (miwake suru zo ya) 5-4

Each of you, concern over oneself, you do not need.

God will each distinguish.

(hito yashiki) (onaji kurashite) (iru uchi ni)     *-

(kami mo hotoke mo) (aru to omoe yo) 5-5

Person’s residence , living the same living within the home,

bad also and good also exists. Think about it.

(kore o mite) (ikana mono demo) (tokushin se)     *-

(zen to aku to o) (wakete miseru de) 5-6

If you see this, any kind of person, will be convinced.

Good and evil, I will distinguish and show.

(kono hanashi) (mina ichiretsu wa) (shiyan seyo)   *-

(onaji Kokoro wa) (sarani arumai) 5-7

This talk, all everyone, ponder over it.

The same mind, furthermore is nonexistent.

(oyako demo) (fuufu no naka mo) (kyoudai mo)     *-

(mina meimei ni) (Kokoro chigau de) 5-8

Even between parent and child, husband and wife within, and also siblings,

all individual minds differ.

(sekaijuu) (doko no mono towa) (yuwan de na)    *-

(kokoro no hokori) (mi ni sawari tsuku) 5-9

To the world, about any person wherever, I do not say.

The dust of the mind, causes harm to the body.

(minouchi no) (nayamu koto oba) (shiyan shite)    *-

(Kami ni motareru) (kokoro shiyan se) 5-10

Within the body, the suffering matter, God says to ponder.

Accepting God (leaning on God),  the mind, ponder it.

(dono youna) (mutsukashi koto to) (yuuta tote)    *-

(Kami no juuyou) (hayaku misetai) 5-11

Whatever kind of  difficult matters that are even said,

God’s blessing, quickly I want to show.

(imamade wa) (Kami no juuyou) (shinjitsu o)   *-

(shitaru mono wa) (sarani nai node) 5-12

Until now, God’s blessings, to attain the Original mind,

knowing person, furthermore is nonexistent.

(korekara wa) (ikana mutsukashi) (yamai demo)    *-

(kokoro shidai ni) (naoran de nashi) 5-13

From now on, whatever difficult illness may be,

depending on the mind, incurable it is not.

(shinjitsu n0) (Kokoro o Kami ga) (uketoreba).  *-

(ikana juuyou) (shite miseru de na) 5-14

The Original mind, the mind, God accepts it,

any blessing, I will show you.

(kora hodono) (Kami no shinjitsu) (kono hanashi)     *-

(soba naru mono wa) (hayaku satore yo) 5-15

Hey about God’s Original mind.  This talk,

those who will be close to me, quickly understand.

(Kore saika) (hayaku satori ga) (tsuita nara)   *-

(Nani ni tsuitemo) (mina kono douri) 5-16

This on occasion, quickly understanding comes,

whatever happens, all is about this truth.

(kyoumade wa) (nani yono koto mo) (sekane domo)   *-

(mou sekikomu de) (ou kuwan no michi) 5-17

Until today, whatever kind of matter I have never hastened.

But now I hasten you to a broad path (path of the responsibility).

(kono michi wa) (sekainami towa) (omouna yo)    *-

(kore matsudai no) (kouki hajimari) 5-18

This path, worldly do not think.

This forever’s spiritedness, I will begin.

(kono ninjuu) doko ni aru towa) (yuwan de na)    *-

(minouchi sawari) (mina kuru de aro) 5-19

These member (for the Service),  where are they, do not say.

Disorders of the body, they will all come.

(Kono sawari) (tebiki iken mo) (rippuku mo)      *-

(Mina meimei ni) (shiyan shite miyo) 5-20

These disorders are from my guidance, admonition, and also anger.

All each of you, ponder and look at it.

(kono hanashi) (nanto omoute) (kiite iru)     *-

(kawai amarite) (kudoku koto nari) 5-21

This talk, what are your thoughts on hearing it?

Strong love for you, warnings will appear.

(dono youni) (iken rippuku) (yuuta tote)      *-

(kore tasuken to) (sarani yuwan de) 5-22

What kind of admonition and anger that is said to occur,

This I cannot save, furthermore I will not say.

(ningen no) (waga ko no iken) (omote miyo)       *-

(hara no tatsu no) (mo kawai yue kara) 5-23

Human’s own children, the warnings to them,  think about it.

The emotions that build up, comes from love.

(shiyan shite) (Kokoro sadamete) (tsuitekoi)     *-

(sue wa tanomoshi) (michi ga aru zo ya) 5-24

Ponder, settle your mind and come along.

The future, a promising path exist.

(imamade wa) (Kokoro chigai wa) (arita tote)     *-

(hi ga kitaran de) (miyurushite ita) 5-25

Until now, the mind mistaken (dusts)  existed.

The day has not come, I have been only looking.

(konotabi wa) (nandemo kademo) (mune no uchi)      *-

(souji o suru de) (mina shouchi seyo) 5-26

This time, by all means, the innermost heart

I shall sweep. Everyone ponder please.

(mune no uchi) (souji o suru to) (yuu no mo na)   *-

(Kami no omowaku) (fukaku aru kara) 5-27

The innermost heart  to sweep, that is said,

because God’s intentions are strong.

(kono souji) (sukiyaki shitate) (sen koto ni)        *-

(mune no shinjitsu) (wakari nai kara) 5-28

This sweeping ,thoroughly accomplished, must be done

of the heart.  Because the Original mind, the understanding is nonexistent. 

(kono kokoro) (shin kara wakari) (tsuita nara)    *-

(kono yo hajimari) (te o tsukeru nari) 5-29

This mind, from the Original mind, if understanding comes,

this world’s beginning  hand, you will make to occur.

(chikamichi mo) (yoku mo kouman) (nai youni)    *-

(tada hitosuji no) (honmichi ni deyo) 5-30

Short cuts also, greed also, and arrogance, not to have.    

Just the true main path, to go out.

(kono michi ni) (tsuitaru naraba) (itsu made mo)    *-

(kore Nippon no) (kouki naru no ya) 5-31

This path when it is completed, forever

this, Nihon’s spiritedness it will become.

(nihon nimo) (kouki ga deketa) (koto naraba)    *-

(nandemo kara o) (mamani suru nari )5-32

To Nihon, when spiritedness is completed,

In everything to Kara, the condition to do will occur.

(kono you o) (hajimete kara no) (shinjitsu o)    *-

(mada imamade wa) (yuuta koto nashi) 5-33

Since these workings were begun, the Original mind

as yet until now, I have not spoken.

(kono hanashi) (mutsukashi koto de) (aru keredo)     *-

(yuwazu ni ireba) (tare mo shiran de) 5-34

This talk will be a difficult matter, but

if it is left untold, no one will know.

(dandan to) (dono yona koto mo) (yute kikasu)      *-

(kokoro shizumete) (shikato kiku nari) 5-35

Step by step, what kind of matter, I will explain.

The mind calmed, certainly listen to occur.

(imamade wa) (ika naru hou to) (yuuta tote)     *-

(mo Korekara wa) (hou wa kikan de) 5-36

Until now, what becoming acts, that is said to taken place.

But from now on, the (mysterious) acts will not be effective.

(koremade wa) (edasaki nitewa) (hou nazo to)     *-

(oshiete aredo) (saki o mite iyo) 5-37

Until now, to the branches, mysterious acts

have been taught. But watch the future.

(nihon niwa) (imamade nanimo) (shirai demo)      *-

(korekara saki no) (michi o tanoshume) 5-38

Nihon, until now, nothing they were aware.

From now on, the future path will be promising.

(hou ya tote) (tare ga suru towa) (omouna yo)     *-

(kono yo hajimete) (Kami no nasu koto) 5-39

The acts taken, who was doing it, do not think.

This world’s beginning God, who was doing it.

(dono youna) (mutsukashi koto to) (yuuta tote)     *-

(Kami ga shinjitsu) (uketorita nara) 5-40

What kind of  difficult things that I say I will do,

if God accepts the Original mind.

(imamade wa) (kara ya nihon to) (yuutaredo)    *-

(korekara saki wa) (nihon bakari ya) 5-41

Until now, Kara and nihon were spoken about.

From now on, in the future, only nihon.

(edasaki wa) (ouki ni miete) (akan mono)    *-

(kamaeba oreru) (saki o mite iyo) 5-42

The branches (kara) may look big, but are no good,

and break when handled. Watch the future.

(moto naru wa) (chiisai you de) (ne ga erai)     *-

(dono yona koto mo) (moto o shiru nari) 5-43

The Origin creation was small, The working of the root is great. 

What kind of things, know the Origin occurrence.

(jitsu ya) (tote hou ga erai to) (omouna yo)     *-

(kokoro no makoto) (kore ga shinjitsu) 5-44

The truth is, the acts performed is remarkable, do not think.

 The truth of the mind, this is the Original mind.

(ningen wa) (azanai mono de) (aru karani)     *-

(mezurashi koto o) (hou naz to yuu) 5-45

Human beings are shallow people because

marvelous things are mysterious rites , they say.

(imamade wa) (Kami ga araware) (detaru tote)     *-

(mada shinjitsu o) (shireta mono nashi) 5-46

Until now, God has revealed and gone out.   

But yet the Original mind, there is no one who knows.

(konosaki wa) (dono yona koto mo) (shinjitsu o)   *-

(oshiete oita koto de) (aru nara) 5-47

Hereafter, in what kind of thing , the Original mind

taught and established matter exists.

(sorekara, wa) (Kami no hataraki) (nanimo kamo)    *-

(juuyojizai o shite) (miseru de na) 5-48

After that, God’s work, whatever

blessings will be done and shown.

(shinjitsu no) (Kami no hataraki) (shikaketara)     *-

(sekai ichiretsu) (Kokoro sumikiru) 5-49

For the Original mind, if God’s work is quickly begun,

the world everyone, their minds will settle.

(hataraki mo) (ika naru koto to) (omou kana)    *-

(kokoro uketori) (shidai kayashi o) 5-50

Workings to do, what’s going to happen, you are thinking.

The mind accepted, returns are dependent on it.

(kono kayashi) (nanino koto ya to) (omou kana)       *-

(michinori sen ri) (hedate aritemo)  5-51

These returns, what is it about, you are thinking.

The distance of 4000 kilometers, it will distinguish.

(kono koto wa) (nani o yuutemo) (omoutemo)    *-

(uketori shidai) (suguni kayashi o) 5-52

This matter, whatever they say or think.

Dependent on the acceptance (of the prayer), immediately I will give returns.

(kono kayashi) (nanno koto ya to) (omouna yo)     *-

(zen aku tomoni) (mina kayasu de na) 5-53

These returns, what do you think about them?

To both good and evil, all will be given returns.

(yoki koto o) (yuutemo ashiki) (omoutemo)    *-

(sono mama suguni) (kayasu koto nari) 5-54

Whether good is spoken or evil is thought.

That by itself,  immediately I shall give returns.

(kono koto o) (miekita naraba) (ichiretsu wa)    *-

(donna mono demo) (mina sumiwataru) 5-55

These things, if they are seen, everyone

whoever, all will be made perfectly clear.

(kyounohi wa) (nani ga mieru ya) (nai keredo)     *-

(hachi gatsu o) (miyo mina mieru de na) 5-56

Today, what can be seen, there is not, but 

the eight month look forward to. All will be seen.

(Mieru no mo) (nanino koto yara) (shiremai na)    *-

(Takai yama kara) (ou kuwan no michi) 5-57

Being able to see, what kind of things, you do not know.

From the high mountains, the broad path  (path of responsibility). 

(kono michi o) (tsukeyou tote ni) (shikoshirae)     *-

(soba naru mono wa) (nanimo shirazu ni) 5-58

This path, I have been trying to make, preparing for it.

Those who will be close to me, they do not know.

(kono toko e) (yobi ni kuru no mo) (detekuru mo)    *-

(Kami no omowaku) (aru kara no koto) 5-59

This place, inquiring to come or appearing  

because God’s intentions exist.

(sono koto o) (nanimo shirazu ni) (soba naru wa)     *-

(sekainami naru) (koto o omoute) 5-60

That matter, they do not know. Those who will become close,

worldly matters to become, they are thinking.

(nani nitemo) (sekainami towa) (omouna yo)    *-

(nanika mezurashi) (michi ga aru zo ya) 5-61

Whatever happens, worldly matters, do not think.

What marvelous path there is.

(dandan to) (kono yo hajimete) (hi wa tatedo)     *-

(tare ka shinjitsu) (shirita mono nashi) 5-62

Step by step, this world’s beginning day has passed.

Anyone, the Original mind, knowing person does not exist.

(ika hodoni) (Kami no kokoro wa) (seeta tote)    *-

(mina no kokoro wa) (mada ukkari to) 5-63

No matter how  God’s mind hastens,

all minds, are yet inattentive.

(hayabaya to) (shiyan shite mite) (sekikome yo)    *-

(ne horu moyou) (nande shiteden) 5-64

Quickly ponder and see, hasten it!

Digging the root, the preparation, why are you not doing it.

(kono you) (no shinjitsu nee no) (horikata o).  *-

(shiritaru mono wa) (sarani nai node) 5-65

These workings to attain the Original mind, the root to dig,

knowing person, furthermore is nonexistent because…

(kono nee o) (shinjitsu horita) (koto naraba)   *-

(makoto tanomoshi) (michi ni naru no ni) 5-66

This root, the Original mind, if you had dug it up, 

truly promising path, it will become.

(kono michi o) (horikiri touri) (nuketa nara)    *-

(kami shimo tomoni) (kokoro isamu ni) 5-67

This path, when you have dug through and extracted it,

both the high and the low’s mind’s will be spirited.

(korekara wa) (nandemo sekai) (ichiretsu o)    *-

(isameru moyou) (bakari suru zo ya) 5-68

From now on whatever, the world to everyone.

To be spirited, the preparation, only I will do.

(dandan to) (nani goto nitemo) (nihon niwa)   ?

(shiran koto owa) (nai to yuu yoni) 5-69

Step by step, whatever happens, to nihon,

unknown things to follow, is nonexistent I say.

(nanimo kamo) (sekaijuu e) (oshietai)      *-

(Kami no omowaku) (fukaku aru no ni) 5-70

In whatever way, to the world I want to teach.

God’s intention, it is strong.

(sore shirazu) (sekaijuu wa) (ichiretsu ni)     *-

(nando abunaki) (youni omote) 5-71

That unaware of it, the world, to everyone,

how dangerous,  are thinking.

(dono youna) (koto demo Kami no) (yuu koto ya)      *-

(nanno abunaki) (koto ga aru zo ya) 5-72

What kind of matter, it is about what God is saying.

What dangerous matter can there be?

(nanimo kamo) (yorozu no koto o) (dandan to)    *-

(yute inagara) (wakaritaru nashi) 5-73

In whatever, all matters, step by step

to say. There is no understanding.

(korekara wa) (douzo shinjitsu) (mune no uchi)      *-

(hayaku sumasuru) (moyou shite kure) 5-74

From now on, please to attain the Original mind, the innermost heart,  

quickly settle. The preparation, do it and come.

(sekaijuu) (ouku no hito de) (aru karani)       *-

(kore sumasuru ga) (mutsukashii koto) 5-75

In the world, because there are many people that exist.

This purification is difficult matter.

(ika hodoni) (mutsukashi koto to) (yuuta tote)     *-

(waga kokoro yori) (shinjitsu o miyo) 5-76

However difficult things are said to be,

from your own mind, see the Original mind.

(kono kokoro) (sumushi wakarita) (koto naraba)   *-

(sono mama mieru) (koto de aru nari) 5-77

This mind purified, if it is understood,

by itself, it (original mind) will be seen to occur.

(nichinichi ni) (Kami no shinjitsu) (hataraki o)  *-

(shiritaru mono wa) (sarani arumai) 5-78

Day by day, God’s Original mind, the working of,

the knowing person, furthermore is nonexistent.

(nani nitemo) (Kami no juuyou to) (yuu mono wa).   *-

(mezurashi koto o) (shite miseru de na 5-79

In whatever matters, God’s blessings it is said about,

marvelous things would be done and shown.

(dono youna) (mezurashi koto to) (yuuta tote)   *-

(Kami no suru koto) (nasu koto bakari) 5-80

Whatever kind of marvelous things, that are said.

What will God do, and performed  only.

(imamade wa) (nani yono koto mo) (shirenanda)     

(choto miekaketa) (hoso michisuji) 5-81

Until now, any kind of matter, you have not known.

Just a little is seen, a narrow path.

(kono michi o) (dandan shitoi) (iku naraba).      *-

(nandemo muko ni) (mieru honmichi) 5-82

This path, step by step if you follow it.

In anything, over there, is seen the main path.

(koremade ni) (tourite kitaru) (michisuji wa)    *-

(kara mo nihon mo) (wakari nai node) 5-83

Until now, you have come through a path

where kara also and nihon also, understanding is nonexistent because…..

(konosaki wa) (nanbo kara ya to) (yuuta tote)    * – 

(nihon ga makeru) (tameshi nai zo ya) 5-84

Hereafter, however disagreeable kara is said to be,

Nihon to lose, example is nonexistent.

(kono you no) (moto hajimari no) (ne o horaso)     *-

(chikara aru nara) (horikirite miyo) 5-85

From these workings, the Origin beginning’s root, dig it up.

If you have the strength, dig it up and see.

(kono nee o) (horikiri saika)( shitaru nara)     *-

(dono yona mono mo) (kanau mono nashi) 5-86

This root is dug,  on the occasion is done,  

whoever one may be, to rival, will be nonexistent

(Shikato kike) (kuchi de yutemo) (omoutemo)     *-

(Doko de yuutemo) (omoutaru tote) 5-87

Listen carefully, by the mouth said, or by thinking.

Where it is said, or thought,

(sono mamani) (kayashi to yuu wa) (kono koto ya)   *-

(Kami ga shirizoku) (mina shouchi seyo) 5-88

that condition, the return that is said, is about this matter.

God will withdrawal (fire and water). All ponder
