OFUDESAKI/CHAPTER 3/  1874 TENRIKYO

(Konotabi wa) (Mon no uchi yori) (tachimono o)   5-75 waka

(Hayaku isoide) (toriharai seyo) 3-1   7-7

This time from the person’s home, the food (abstained to get wish),

quickly hasten to clear it away (it does not work).

(Sukiyaka ni) (soji shitateta) (koto naraba)   7-7-5 waka

(Nahamune isogi) (tanomi iru zo ya) 3-2   7- 7

Quickly if the sweeping  is done, if this occurs,

a flexible mind you will need to quickly rely on.

(Shinjitsu ni) (soji o shitaru) (sono nochi wa)   5-7-5 waka

(Kami ichijo de) (kokoro isamuru) 3-3

Truly, if the sweeping is done.  That done, afterwards

you will be one with God, and your mind will become spirited. 

(Dandan to) (sekai no kokoro) (isamu nara)   5-7-5 waka

(Kore ga nihon no) (osamari to naru) 3-4

Step by step, if the minds of the world become spirited.

This will settle Nihon (bring peace and Kanrodai completed).

(Imamade wa) (nani yono koto mo) (wakari nai)   5-7-5 waka

(Korekara mieru) (fushigi aizu ga) 3-5   7-7

Until now, whatever matter, you have not understood.

From now on you will see miraculous signs (illness as God’s guidance after the Joyous Service / New members will come to our churches or weeding/guidance of early followers).

(Kon mono ni) (muri ni koi towa) (yu de nashi)   5-7-5 waka

(Tsukikuru naraga) (itsu made mo yoshi) 3-6   7-7

This matter (God’s workings), you have to go thru difficulties I do not say.

But if you (high mountains) come to God, it will be good forever.

(Korekara wa) (mizu ni tatoete) (hanashi suru)   5-7-5 waka

(Sumu to nigori de) (satori toru nari) 3-7

From now on, using the metaphor of water I shall speak.

Between clear (pure mind) and muddy (evil thoughts), come to understand.

(Shinjitsu ni) (Kami no kokoro no) (sekikomi wa)   5-7-5 waka

(Shin no hashira o) (hayaku iretai ) 3-8   7-7

Truly, the hastening in God’s is

to quickly put in the pillar (Kanrodai) of the Original mind (occurs when all minds are pure).

(Kono hashira) (hayaku ireyo to) (omoedomo)   5-7-5 waka

(Nigori no mizu de) (tokoro wakaran) 3-9   7-7

This pillar I am thinking quickly to put in.

Because of the muddy water (evil in the minds of the early followers), the location  cannot be found (early followers need to purify their minds to locate the Kanrodai).

(Kono mizu o) (hayaku sumasuru) (moyodate)   5-7-5

(Suino to suna ni) (kakete sumase yo) 3-10   7-7

This water (mind), prepare to clear it quickly.

By using  filter and sand; apply it to purify it (the mind).

(Kono suino) (doko ni aru ya to) (omouna yo)    5-7-5 waka

(Mune to kuchi to ga) (suna to suino ya) 3-11   7-7

This filter, do not think where it could be.

The heart/soul and the mouth are the sand and filter (what inconveniences the heart/soul brings upon, if we do not act or speak evil upon them, we can purify our minds).

(Kono hanashi) (sumiyaka satori) (tsuita nara)   5-7-5 waka

(Sono mama ireru) (shin no hashira o) 3-12   7-7

This talk, if understanding (of the soul and not to act/speak on evil thoughts when the soul manifest suffering) quickly occurs (all mankind purified),

That condition (understanding of the soul), I shall put in the Original mind’s pillar.

(Hashira sai) (shikkari ireta) (koto naraba)   5-7-5 waka

(Kono yo tashikani) (osamari ga tsuku) 3-13   7-7

If the pillar is completely put in (all the world must be purified),

certainly this world will settle.

(Kono hanashi) (satori bakari de) (aru hodoni)   5-7-5 waka

(Kore satoritara) (shoko dameshi ya) 3-14   7-5

This talk, if only understanding occurs because

with this understood, a test (illness as guidance) from the proof (Kanrodai).

(Kono yo no) (ningen hajime) (moto no Kami)   5-5-5

(Tare mo shiritaru) (mono wa arumai) 3-15   7-7

This world’s  God of Origin who began human beings,

there is no person who knows.

(Doroumi no naka) (yori shugo) (oshiekake)   5-7-5 waka  7-5-5

(Sore ga dandan) (sakan naru zo ya) 3-16   7-7

From within the muddy ocean, providence came forth, I began to teach.

From that, gradually you will become prosperous!

(Kontotabi wa) (tasuke ichijo) (oshieru mo)   5-7-5 waka

(Kore mo nai koto) (hajime kakeru de) 3-17   7-5

This time, single hearted salvation, I will teach (Prayer to bring in new members).

This is something that never existed, and will now begin.

(Imamade ni) (nai koto hajime) (kakeru no wa)   5-7-5 waka

(Moto Koshiraeta) (Kami de aru kara) 3-18   7-7

Until this time, beginning something which never existed, it occurs

because the Origin creating God  exist.

(Nichinichi ni) (Kami no hanashi ga) (yamayama to)   5-7-5

(Tsukaete aredo) (toku ni tokaren) 3-19   7-7

Day by day God’s teachings very much

I would like to speak ; I want to explain, but I cannot explain.

(Nani nitemo) (tokaren koto wa) (nai keredo)   5-7-5 waka

(Kokoro sumashite) (kiku mono wa nai) 3-20

In whatever happens, there is nothing that I cannot explain but

there is no one who listens with a settled mind.

(Sumiyaka ni) (kokoro sumashite) (kiku narable)   5-7-5 waka

(Yorozu no hanashi) (mina tokikikasu) 3-21   7-7

You quickly settle your mind, and if you listen.

All of my teaching, all will be explained and informed.

(Kono yo no) (tashika tameshi ga) (kakete aru)   5-7-5 waka

(Kore ni machigai) (nai to omoe yo) 3-22   7-7

In this world, a definite test I have put in effect (illness as guidance/ Shuji leg).

Do not think there is no error in this.

(Kono tameshi) (sumiyaka mieta) (koto naraba)   5-7-5 waka

Ikana hanashi mo) (mina makoto ya de) 3-23   7- 7

This test, if it is quickly seen  (illness as God’s guidance),

 any of my teaching also are all true.

(Nanimo kamo) (ikana hanashi mo) (toku hodoni)   5-7-5 waka

(Nani o yutemo) (uso to omouna) 3-24   7-7

On any matter, any talk I will explain.

Whatever I say, never think of it as false.

(Me ni mien) (Kami no yu koto) (nasu koto wa)   5-7-5 waka

(Nani o suru tomo) (chotto ni shiremai) 3-25   7-7

What is not seen by the eyes, are the things God will say and perform.

What I am going to do, You do not know even a little.

(Hayabaya to) (mieru hanashi de) (aru hodoni)   5-7-5 waka

(Kore ga tashikana) (shoko naru zo ya) 3-26   7-7

My teachings that will be seen quickly exist.

This is a certainty that the proof/evidence (Kanrodai) will occur.

(Kore o mite) (nani o kiitemo) (tanoshime yo)   5-7-5   waka

(Ikana hanashi mo) (mina kono dori) 3-27

When this is seen, whatever you hear, you will be pleased.

Any of my teaching will all proceeds in this way (toward establishing the Kanrodai).

(Hito no mono) (karitaru narabe) (ri ga iru de)   5-7-5 waka

(Hayaku hensai) (re o yu nari) 3-28   7-7

A person’s thing, if you borrow (illness from God), you would need interest.

Quickly the repayment,  a word of  thank will be needed. (If God gives you guidance (illness or disorder), Ponder and quickly return the illness with a word of thanks).

(Ko no yonaki) (omou kokoro wa) (chigau de na)   5-7-5 waka

(Ko ga nakude nai) (Kami no kudoki ya) 3-29   7-7

The child’s crying, the mind that thinks this way is wrong.

The child is not crying, it is God’s persuasion (guidance).

(Hayabaya to) (Kami ga shirashite) (yaru hodoni)   5-7-5 waka

(Ikana koto demo) (shikato kikiwake) 3-30   7-7

Quickly, As God desires to inform you,

Whatever matters (occurs), you must clearly recognize.

(Oyaoya no) (kokoro chigai no) (nai yoni)   5-7-5 waka

(Hayaku shiyan o) (suru ga yoi zo ya) 3-31   7-7

My goodness, for there not to have a mistaken mind,

quickly ponder over it. When it is done, it will be good.

(Shinjitsu ni) (hito o tasukeru) (kokoro nara)   5-7-5 waka

(Kami no kudoki wa) (nanimo nai zo ya) 3-32

If you truly have a mind to save others,

there is no need whatever for God’s persuasion  (no guidance needed or weeding needed).

(Meme ni) (imasai yokuba) (yoki koto to)   5-7-5 waka

(Omou kokoro wa) (mina chigau de na) 3-33   7-7

For each of you, the present good circumstance is all is good.

The mind that thinks this way is all mistaken.   

(Degake kara) (ikana omichi) (toritemo)   5-7-5 waka

(Sue no hosomichi) (miete nai kara) 3-34  7-7,

What  appears from what kind of path you have taken,

the future narrow path you do not see.

(Ningen wa) (azanai mono de) (aru karani)   5-7-5 waka

(Sue no michisuji) (sarani wakaran) 3-35   7-7

Human beings, shallow beings they are,

the future path they cannot after all understand.

(Ima no koto) (nanimo yu dewa) (nai hodoni)   5-7-5 waka

(Saki no okwan) (michi ga mieru de)3-36   7-7

The present matter, I do not say anything because

the future’s broad path, the path you will see.

(Ima no michi) (ikana michi demo) (nagekuna yo)   5-7-5 waka

(Saki no honmichi) (tanoshunde iyo) 3-37   7-7

The present path whatever path, do not grieve.

The future true path, Take delight (the good path will result in a future of joy).

(Shinjitsu ni) (tasuke ichijo no) (kokoro nara)   5-7-5 waka

(Nani yuwai demo) (shikato uketoru) 3-38   7-7

If you truly have a mind  to save others.

Whatever you say (request), I shall firmly accept.

(Kuchi saki no) (tsuisho bakari wa) (iran mono)   5-7-5 waka

(Shin no kokoro ni) (makoto aru nara) 3-39   7-7

Words  in the past of flattery are things that are not needed.

If there is sincerity, that is the truth of the mind (having no greed, arrogance or self love).

(Tantan to) (nani koto nitemo) (kono yo wa)   5-7-5 waka

(Kami no karada ya) (shiyan shite miyo) 3-40   7-7

Indifferently, whatever happens anywhere, this world is

God’s body, ponder, and realize it.

(Ningen wa) (minamina Kami no) (kashimono ya)   5-7-5 waka

(Nanto omote) (tsukote iru yara) 3-41   7-7

Human bodies  are all God’s; they are  borrowed things!

What thoughts are you using them?

(Kotoshi niwa) (mezurashi koto o) (hajime kake)   5-7-5 waka

(Imamade shiranu) (koto o suru zo ya) 3-42

From this year, marvelous things, I shall begin (show God’s blessings as illness).

Until now, it was unknown.  This matter I shall do it!

(Imamade wa) (nani yono koto mo) (sekainami)   5-7-5 waka

(Korekara wakaru) (mune no uchi yori) 3-43   7-7

Until now, whatever occurrence/matter was about the world (can get away if no one sees you do it).

From now on you will understand what comes forth from the innermost heart (your fate comes from the heart/soul).

(Konotabi wa) (tasuke ichijo ni) (kakaru no mo)   5-7-5 waka

(Waga mi no tameshi) (kakaritaru ue) 3-44   7-7

This time, initiating single salvation,

a test upon one’s body, I will begin upon.

(Tasuke demo) (ogami kito de) (iku de nashi)   5-7-5 waka

(Ukagai tatete) (iku de nakeredo) 3-45   7-7

Concerning salvation, just planing to worship does not make it effective.

Speaking wholeheartedly, it occurs although (hinokishin).

(Kono tokoro) (yorozu no koto o) (tokikikasu)   5-7-5 waka

(Kami ichijo de) (mune no uchi yori) 3-46   7-7

At this place, everything of all matters I will teach.

Become single hearted with God by what the innermost heart brings forth (way to purify mind).

(Wakaru yo) (mune no uchi yori) (shiyan seyo)   5-7-5 waka

(Hito tasuketara) (waga mi tasukaru) 3-47   7-7

Understand! What the innermost heart brings forth, one must ponder!

Through saving others (performing the Joyous Service), your body is saved (no suffering delivered by the soul/heart).

(Takayama wa) (sekai ichiretsu) (omou yo)   5-7-5 waka

(Mamani suredomo) (saki wa mien de) 3-48   7-7

The high mountains, in the world everyone thinks worldly.

They act as they please, they cannot see the future.

(Dandan to) (oku yosetaru) (kono tachiki)   5-7-5 waka

(Yoboku ni naru) (mono wa nai zo ya) 3-49   7-7

Step by step, I have gathered many of these trees.

There are none that will become timber (missionaries).

(Ikana ki mo) (oku yosete wa)( aru keredo)   5-7-5 waka

(Igami kagami wa)( kore wa kanawan) 3-50   7-7

Whatever sort of tree, many I have collected exist.

Those like a distorted mirror, this will not be accepted. 

(Sekaiju) (mune no uchi yori) (Shinbashira)   5-7-5 waka

(Kami no sekikomi) (hayaku misetai) 3-51   7-7

To the world, from the innermost heart, the pillar of the Original mind

God hastens to quickly show it.

(Sekaiju) (mune no uchi yori) (kono soji)

(Kami ga hoke ya) (shikato mite iyo) 3-52

To the world, From what the inner heart brings forth, this sweeping (God beginning to work to teach us about the soul).

God is the broom (God placing illness as guidance after our prayer). Watch vigilantly.

(Korekara wa) (Kami ga omote i) (arawarete)   5-7-5 waka

(Yama i kakarite) (soji suru zo ya) 3-53   7-7

From now on, God is planning to be revealed.

In the mountains I will attend and begin the sweeping (sweep evil from the minds by placing illness as guidance after accepting our sincere prayer).

(Ichiretsu ni) (Kami ga soji o) (suru naraba)   5-7-5 waka

(Kokoro isande) (yokizukume ya) 3-54   7-7

If everyone, God begins to sweep. If this is done,

the minds will settle. There will be complete joy. 

(Nanimo kamo) (Kami ga hikiuke) (suru kara wa)   5-7-5 waka

(Donna koto demo) (juyojizai o) 3-55   7-7

In all matters, as it is God who undertakes it,

everything will be done freely(does not force) and unlimitedly.

(Konotabi wa) (uchi o osameru) (Shinbashira)   5-7–5 waka

(Hayaku iretai) (mizu o sumashite) 3-56   7-7

This time, I will settle within. The Pillar of the Original mind

quickly I will like to put in by purifying the water (purifying the minds of the early followers to find the location of Kanrodai).

(Takayama no) (shin no hashira wa) (tojin ya)   5-7-5 waka

(Kore ga daiichi) (Kami no rippuku) 3-57   7-7

The high mountains’ pillar of the original mind (pure) is that of  the town’s people (impure mind).

This is foremost for the anger of God.

(Kami taru wa) (dandan sekai) (mamani suru)   5-7-5 waka

(Kami no zannen) (nanto omou zo) 3-58   7-7

Those in high places are gradually doing as they please to the world.

God’s regret, what are you thinking?

(Imamade wa) (nani o yutemo) (miete nai)   5-7-5

(Mo konotabi wa) (setsu ga kita) 3-59

Until now, what was said was not seen.

now this time, the time has come (will see illness as God’s guidance after our sincere prayers).

(Korekara wa) (Yoki-zutome ni) (mata kakaru)   507-5 waka

(Nanno koto yara) (choto ni shiremai) 3-60

From now on, the Joyous Service, look forward it to being effective. (January 26, 1887 when Oyasama physical body passes, and her soul returns to the location of the Origin).

What does this mean? Somewhat you may not understand (understand what the Service does).

(Imamade mo) (shirite hanashite) (hanashi tomo)   5-7-5 waka

(Toite aredomo) (nanno koto yara) 3-61   7-7

Until now, I have spoken of what you know. But the teachings

it has been taught, but what does it means (what the Joyous Service does).

(Koremade wa) (ikana hanashi o) (toita tote)   5-7-5- waka

(Hi ga kitaran de) (miete nai zo ya) 3-62   7-7

Until now, whatever talks were explained, but

the day has not come, and  has not been seen (God’s workings not seen).

(Korekara wa) (mo setsu ga) (kitaru kara)

(Yueba sono mama) (miete kuru zo ya) 3-63

From now on, as the time has come,

As said, by itself you will come to see (will begin to see illness as God’s guidance through performing the Joyous Service, bringing members to our churches).

(Shikato kike) (san roku ni go no) (kureyai ni)   5-7-5 waka

(Mune no soji o) (Kami ga suru zo ya) 3-64   7-7

Listen carefully, on the twenty fifth day in the 36 year (1874) in the evening,

the sweeping of the heart, God will accomplish it. (God beginning to sweep the minds of the early followers, so the location of the original mind/Kanrodai can be identified).

(Shiyan seyo) (nanbo sundaru) (mizu ya tote)   5-7-5 waka

(Doro o iretara) (nigoru koto nari& 3-65   7-7

Ponder this, no matter how clear the water (mind) may be,

if you put mud (evil thoughts) into it, it will become turbid.

(Nigori mizu) (hayaku sumasan) (koto nitewa)   5-7-5 waka

(Shin no hashira no) (ireyo ga nai) 3-66   7-7

The muddy water must be quickly purified. Unless this happens (unless the minds are purified),

the Original mind’s Pillar, there is no way to put in (location cannot be identified).

(Hashira sai) (hayaku iretaru) (koto naraba)   5-7-5 waka

(Matsudai shikato) (osamari ga tsuku) 3-67   7-7

If only The Pillar is quickly put in. If this happens,

everything will be certainly be settled forever.

(Kono yo o) (hajimeta Kami no) (shinjitsu o)   5-7-5 waka

(Toite kikasuru) (uso to omouna) 3-68   7-7

The truth of  God who began this world.  

I will explain and let you listen. Do not think it to be false.

(Imamade mo) (shingaku koki) (aru keredo)   5-7-5 waka

(Moto o shiritaru) (mono wa nai zo ya) 3-69   7-7

Even until now, ethical and ancient teachings exist, but

there is no one who understands the Origin.

(Sono hazu ya) (doroumi naka no) (michisugara)   5-7-5 waka

(Shiritaru mono wa) (nai hazu no koto) 3-70   7-7

So should it be, starting within the muddy ocean, is the journey (creation of mankind).

There is no one who knows it. This is expected.

(Koremade wa) (kono yo hajimete) (nai koto o)   5-7-5 waka

(Dandan toite) (kikasu koto nari 3-71   7-7

From now on, this world’s beginnings that is unknown,

Step by step, I will explain it; and you will be informed.

(Nanimo kamo) (nai koto bakari) (toku keredo)   5-7-5 waka

(Kore ni machigota) (koto a nai zo ya) 3-72   7-7

in whatever matter, only unknown things I teach, but

in this matter there is no mistake.

(Ju ichi ni) (ku ga nakunarite) (shin wasure)   5-7-5 waka

(Shogatsu niju roku) (niche o matsu) 3-73   7-5

On the eleventh, the nine will have disappeared (in chapter 11, tells of Kokan’s (Ku…..) demise), the Original mind (pure) forgotten.

The twenty sixth of the first month (when Oyasama passes away and the Joyous Service becomes effective/ Jan. 26, 1887), this day I await.

(Kono aida) (shin mo tsukikuru) (yoku wasure)   5-7-5 waka

(Ninju sorote) (Tsutome koshirae) 3-74   7-7

By that time, the Original mind (pure) will have come forth, and greed forgotten.

The performers assembled, prepare for the Service.

(Nichinichi ni) (Kami no kokoro no) (sekikomi wa)   5-7-5 waka

(Juyojizai o) (hayaku misetai) 3-75   5-7

Day be day the mind of God hastens. The hastening is for

free and unlimited workings, to be shown quickly (illness as God’s guidance by our prayer to the Kanrodai to take place 1887).

(Korekara wa) (ninju sorote) Tsutome suru   5-5-5 waka

(Kore de tashikani) (nihon osamaru) 3-76   7-7

From now on, the members will assemble and perform the Service.

This will truly settle Nihon.

(Shinjitsu ni) (tasuke ichijo de) (aru karani)   5-7-5 waka

(Nanimo kowami wa) (sarani nai zo ya) 3-77   7-7

In Truth, since the single hearted salvation exist

there is nothing to fear in anything.

(Nanimo kamo) (tasuke ichijo) (tomeru nara)   5-7-5 waka

(Kami no zannen) (mi ni sawari tsuku) 3-78   7-7

In whatever matter, single hearted salvation  if one stops it,

God’s regret will appear. Discomfort of ones body will take effect (like Shuji‘s leg).

(Shiyan seyo) (yorozu tasuke no) (kono moyo)   5-7-5 waka

(Ningen waza to) (sarani omouna) 3-79   7-7

Ponder over it. This preparation of world salvation,

never think as human workings.

(Imamade wa) (nanika yorozu ga) (wakaraide)   5-7-5 waka

(Mina ningen no) (kokoro bakari de) 3-80   7-7

Until now, in whatever matters, you  have not been able to understand.

There was all human thinking only (one needs pure mind to understand).

(Korekara wa) (Kami no kokoro to) (kami taru no) 5-7-5 waka

(Kokoro to) (hikiyawase suru) 3-81   5-7

From now on, God’s mind and those who are in high position’s

mind (not pure),  I will distinguish (this done by performing the Joyous Service).

(Kono hanashi) (chotto no koto ya to) (omouna yo)   5-7-5 waka

(Kami ga shinjitsu) (mikanetaru yue) 3-82   7-7

This talk, insignificant matter, do not think.

God truly says that it cannot be passed unnoticed.

(Korekara wa) (Kami no chikara to) (kami taru no)   5-7-5 waka

(Chikara kurabe to) (omoe yo) 3-83   7-5

From now on, God’s strength and the strength of those in the high place.

Compare the strengths. Think about it!

(Ika hodono) (goteki araba) (dashite miyo)   5-7-5 waka

(Kami no ho nimo) (bai no chikara o) 3-84   7-7

How much power your enemies have; begin to look,

God has twice the strength.

(Shinjitsu no) (Kami ga omote i) (deru kara wa)   5-7-5 waka

(Ikana moyo) (mo suru to omoe yo) 3-85

As the true God is appearing and going out,

Think about any kind of preparation that will be done.

(Imamade wa) (kara ga nihon o) (mamani shita)   5-7-5 waka

(Kami no zannen) (nanto shiyo yara) 3-86  7-7

Until now, those of kara (not pure mind) have done as they like with Nihon (pure mind).

God’s regret, what bestowal will be given.

(Konosaki wa) (nihon ga kara o) (mamani suru)   5-7-5 waka

(Mina ichiretsu wa) (shochi shite iyo) 3-87   7-7

Hereafter, nihon will do as they like with kara.

Everyone in the world, ponder over it.

(Onaji ki no) (ne to eda to no) (koto naraba)   5-7-5 waka

(Eda wa orekuru) (ne wa sakai deru) 3-88

The same tree, concerning the root and branches

branches will break; roots will continue to grow.

(Imamade wa) (kara wa erai to) (yu taredo)   5-7-5 waka

(Korekara saki wa) (oreru bakari ya) 3-89   7-7

Until now, those of kara (impure mind) were said to be great,

But after this, in the future they will only be broken (suffering).

(Nihon miyo) (chiisai yoni) (omotaredo)   5-5-5 waka

(Ne ga arawareba) (osore iru zo ya) 3-90   7-7

Look at Nihon. Small, it is  thought to be.

But when the roots (original mind) appears, you will be overwhelmed.

(Kono chikara) (ningen waza to) (omowaren)   5-7-5 waka

(Kami no chikara ya) (kore wa kanawan) 3-91

This strength, do not think it is from human workings.

It is the strength of God. This cannot be matched.

(Kono yo wa) (nigiwashi kurashi) (iru keredo)   5-7-5 waka

(Moto o shiritaru) (mono wa nai node) 3-92   7-7

In this world, prosperous livelihoods exists.

There is no person who understand the origin or cause of this.

(Kono moto o) (kuwashiku shirita) (koto naraba)   5-7-5 waka

(Yamai no okoru) (koto a nai no ni) 3-93   7-7

If this origin (Causality) is known in detail. If this happens

The occurrence of illness will be nonexistent.

(Nanimo kamo) (shirazu ni kurasu) (kono kodomo)   5-7-5 waka

(Kami no me niwa) (ijirashiki koto) 3-94   7-7

 In whatever matter, living without knowing, these children

Whatever happens, what is called illness after all should not exist.

It is because there are paths of the mistaken mind (mistaken mind is mind having greed, arrogance, self-love, regret, and covetousness).

(Yoku to koman)( kore ga hokori ya) 3-96   7-7

These path are regret, covetousness, self love,

greed, and arrogance. These are the dusts ( around the soul/heart resulting from acting on the evil thoughts).

(Kami no yu koto) (shikato kikiwake) 3-97   7-7

This world’s human beings are all God’s children.

What God says, clearly recognize (distinguish).

If only the dusts (negative energy around the heart/soul) are completely swept. If this happens,

afterwards I shall do marvelous salvation (Paradise on earth).

By this salvation depending upon a mind of sincerity (pure mind),

illness, death, and weakening will not exist!

This salvation, 115 life span

to settle and fix is God’s desire.

Day by day, the mind of God hastens (impatient).

Those people who will be close (to me), what are you thinking?

The high officials are frightening you think. You are depressed.

God is hastening for you not be afraid.

The ailment in your chest/heart. This is illness, do not think.

God’s hastening is said to be osstructed.

What is said of God’s mind, is to step by step

reveal miracles to hasten salvation. (we must pray to hasten these miraculous salvations/illnesses as guidance).

This miracle (illness as guidance) what are you thinking?

I will sweep the dust, and complete the cleaning.

Thereafter, quickly the pillar if it is put in (when all mankind is purified).

When it is done, this world will settle.

This talk if it is seen quickly. If this occurs (God’s blessing of guidance/illness),

The Kanrodai, you do not even know about.

God is holding her in a tight embrace. This is the proof (was instrument of the origin).

This present path, the high officials do as they please, you think.

But your mind is wrong. It will be as God pleases.

Until now, everyone in the world has acted as one pleases, like the high places.

From now on, there will be changes to that condition.

Since the time I began this world, on any matter I have not

explained and taught anything.

The high officials are treating the world on their terms.

That thinking, their minds are mistaken.

In the high mountains, the trees that grow and in the valley,

the trees that also grow are all the same thing. (all souls are equal).

Human bodies, all are God’s borrowed things.

God’s blessing, do you not know this?

Everyone is all My (God’s) bodies; become spirited!

There is no knowing when and where God will go.

Just a word, the hastening in God’s mind is

to prepare only for the assembly of timber.

Gradually, there will  further appear many trees.

which one will become timber is not known.

Of these timbers, it is not to be just a few.

I want a great number of timbers.

Day by day, those resembling timber, I shall tend to.

Wherever the (tending), never think it to be an illness (guidance/weeding of the mind).

(Sono mama kokasu) (kii mo aru nari) 3-132   7-7

Among the same trees, there will be some that I guide step by step (weeding/illness as guidance).

and others that I shall let fall as they are (no guidance by illness).

(Hoka naru toko de) (sarani sen zo ya) 3-133   7-7

For the following to occur, this test of my free and unlimited working,

I will not do at any other place.

At this time, as God is  revealed and goes out,

I shall teach you any and all things.

Concerning each individual body, it is borrowed.

If you do not know it to be, you will not understand anything (cannot understand the guidance on your body that God places).

Ponder, there is nothing called illness.

It is God’s road sign. It will become a warning.

I will let you know. Ailment of the eye, swelling,

dizziness discomfort are God’s guidance.

There have been no timbers seen.

Hereafter, wherever in the mountains, step by step

I shall make preparations to find timber.

(Ichiretsu ni) (hayaku tasukeru) (kono moyo)   5-7-6 waka

(Kami shimo tomoni) (kokoro isamete) 3-142   7-7

Everyone, I would quickly save.This preparation

both the high and low, their minds will be spirited.

(Mono no ryuke wa) (mina isami deru)3-143   7-7

Day by day, if the minds of the world become spirited (purified in mind)

One’s harvest, will all appear in high spirits (more members to our churches).

In whatever matters, because single-hearted salvation exist,

the root of rebellion, I want to quickly cut out.

The present path, because dust and mud are present,

take up the broom (God), and begin sweeping (by the Joyous Service one asks God to sweep away evil).   see 3-52 God is the broom

There after, the path will be wide and without dust.

The number of people, take along as many as you wish. (Joyous Service brings new members).

Everything about causality all will be explained and informed.

teachings of God listen to and ponder.

Summary: Chapter 3

God tells us to purify the mind of greed, arrogance, miserliness, covetousness, and self love. This will give our mind flexibility to think.  This will make one spirited and happy.

When our minds are purified, we are able to understand God.

God promises that when all mankind is purified in mind, the Kanrodai will be permanently constructed on the site of the origin of human beings. When this happens, there will be everlasting joy.

God telling us to share this information with others. He is giving us a a special prayer (Joyous Service)to bring people to us to teach them of God’s truths; but we needs to find the exact location of the original mind and the residence of God, and where we will direct our prayer toward in the future.

God telling the early followers to identify the location of the origin of mankind.  But because of the evil (dusts) in the early followers, they are not able to find the location to place the temporary pillar (Kanrodai).

God tells us that the heart and mouth are the sand and filter. The filter refers to not taking action on our evil thoughts (calming our minds), and the heart (soul) attracts and retains the evil thoughts, and eventually eliminates them as causality. This causality, when it returns back to us as sufferings, we continue to calm our minds, and eventually our minds become pure.

God enters the body and places illness as guidance to early followers to sweep their minds of evil.  God tells them to calm their minds and ponder. When this happens their minds will become pure, and they will be able to easily identify the the location of the original pure mind at creation (Oyasama’s mind).

God tells us that when we calm our minds,  we will be able to ponder. With understanding, God will give us guidance/test (blessings as illness) to purify our minds.

God telling us that illness is a result of dust in our minds. These dusts are greed, arrogance, covetousness, miserliness, and self-love.

God tells us if we are sincere (pure in mind), there is no need for God to Guide us.

God tells us that we are saved ourselves when we share God’s truth with others.

God tells us that the universe is God’s body. He lends us our bodies.

God tells us that all souls are equal.

God tells us that what we plant, we reap (cause and effect). It is the mind that causes joy or suffering.

God tells us not to worry about the path we are on; we can change our future by our thoughts and acts of today.

God tells us not to have a mind like a distorted mirror. A distorted mirror does not reflect the true image; as mind that is contaminated with evil thoughts, cannot understand truth. This is why God tells us to calm our minds to remove these evil thoughts.

God tells us that God’s blessings originate from our pure minds. Our special prayer (Joyous Service), with a pure mind directed at the Kanrodai (Pillar of the original pure mind) will bring people to our churches to be saved.

All souls are equal.

God tells us that on January 26, 1887, our sincere prayer will become effective again. God will bring new members to our churches. This is when Oyasama passes away, and her soul returns to the location of the origin or the Kanrodai. This is where our prayers are directed to, where God resides. God compares our mind with Oyasama’s pure mind. If our minds are pure, our prayers are accepted by God. God then gives us his blessings of new members.
