CHAPTER 2/summary: Joyous Service/1869

Korekara wa okwan michi o tsuke kakeru

sekai no kokoro mina isameru de 2-1

From now, I shall begin to open a broad path (Path of joy).

I shall make all minds in the world spirited ( mind becomes spirited when the mind is pure).

Kami taru wa kokoro isande kuru hodoni

Nandoki ni kuru kokugen ga kita 2-2

Those in high places will come and become  spirited  because

The appointed time has arrived.

Cha tsunde ato karitorite shimota nara

Ato i deru no wa Yoki-zutome ya 2-3

After the tea is trimmed and the plants are trimmed  (talking of weeding the minds of the early followers/illness placed as guidance to purify the mind),

the Joyous Service will follow (this service brings people to our churches if we pray with a pure mind).

Kono Tsutome doko kara kuru to omou kana

Kami taru tokoro isami kuru zo ya 2-4

This Service, from where do you think they will come from? (who’s mind is the service talking about when we pray and chant, “Evil sweeping, save them please”).

From the high places they will come and become spirited. (Jan. 26, 1887).

Dandan to Kami no shugo to yu mono wa

Mezurashi koto o mina shikakeru de 2-5

It is said that God’s protection, step by step

will begin marvelous things for everyone  (illness as guidance by the Joyous service).

Nichinichi ni Kami no kokoro no sekikomi o

Mina ichiretsu wa nanto omoteru

Day by day, the mind of God hastens.

What are you all thinking of?

Nani nitemo yamai itami wa sarani nashi

Kami no sekikomi tebiki naru zo ya 2-7

Whatever happen, illness and pain do not exist.

They are God’s hastening and guidance (talking to early followers about weeding, or purifying their own minds first).

Sekikomi mo naniyue naru to yu naraba

Tsutome no ninju hoshii koto kara 2-8

The reason for my hastening, if you should ask,

is that I desire numbers for the Service (prayer).

Kono Tsutome nanno koto ya to omote iru

Yorozu tasuke no moyo bakari o 2-9

What do you think of the Service?

It is only for the preparation for universal salvation (brings new members to our churches).

Kono tasuke ima bakari towa omouna yo

Kore matsudai no Koki naru zo ya 2-10

Do not think this salvation (this prayer) is for the present time alone.

It will be the Divine record forever (this prayer still works today).

Choto hanashi nobose kanteki yute iru

Yamai dewa nai Kami no sekikomu 2-11

Just a word, you are saying that it is a fit or madness.

It is not an illness, but the urging (hastening) of God.

Dandan to shinjitsu Kami no ichijo o

Toite kikasedo mada wakari nai 2-12

Step by step, I have taught the truth of single-heartedness (pure mind) with God.

But you still do not understand.

Hayabaya to omote deyo to omoedomo

Michi ga note wa deru ni deraren 2-13

Though I desire to go forth quickly (God needs the people to perform the Joyous Service to get God’s blessings/work).

I cannot go out because there is no path. (no places that teach the Joyous Service and God’s truth or the Kanrodai not identified yet).

Kono michi o hayaku tsukeyo to omoedomo

Hoka naru toko de tsukeru toko nashi 2-14

This path I wish to start quickly,

but there is no other place  to start it (the early followers have to purify their minds to locate the Kanrodai, the location of the original mind).

Kono michi o shinjitsu omou koto naraba

Mune no uchi yori yorozu shiyan se 2-15

This path if you truly think about it

ponder over it from your innermost heart, everyone (ponder with a pure mind).

Kono hanashi nano koto ya to omote iru

Kami no uchiwake basho sekikomu 2-16

What do you think this talk is about?

I am hastening for God’s residence location (place of the original mind/Kanrodai).  God talking to early followers to complete the residence by having a pure mind to locate where to place Kanrodai the location of the original mind.

Kono michi ga choto miekaketa koto naraba

When this path can be seen, even a little,

all mind in the world will become spirited (encouraged).

Whatever happen, listen to whatever God says firmly.

If the cleaning (making the minds pure) of the Residence is completed (Occurs either 1875 (Kanrodai located) or 1887 (Oyasama passes away).

It will soon be seen.  Without a moment to look aside,

the dust will disappear  as if it was a dream.

Kono hokori sukiyaka harota koto naraba

When this dust is completely swept away (Jan 26, 1887 ),

afterwards there will be only universal salvation.

Konosaki wa dandan Tsutome sekikonde

Hereafter, little by little, I shall hasten the service,

preparing only for universal salvation.

Illness and pain throughout the world; you do not know

that these are the road signs or guidance of God.

Kono yo ni yamai to yute nai hodoni

There is nothing in this world that should be called illness (to the early followers).

Whenever there is a disorder of the body, everyone ponder (directed to the followers).

Day after day, God is hastening this salvation.

Everyone throughout the world what are you thinking about?

It will change into clear water (pure mind).

You may not understand what I say.

and their willful acts cause the anger of God.

Step by step, I am preparing to save Nihon.

God will deal with the town’s people as God wishes.

Konosaki wa kara to nihon o wakeru de na

Hereafter, I shall make a distinction of the minds of kara  and Nihon. (God sees all minds).

When this is understood, the world will settle.

Until now, those in high places have not understood.

They thought my teachings to be worldly common.

and clearly distinguish their minds  (place illness according to their mind /only after our Joyous Service prayer).

Can’t anyone see this with your own eyes?

By this talk, I do not indicate any place in particular.

Become convinced, all of you, when it is seen.

Among the high mountains, the preparation to distinguish nihon and those of the town’s people  will be made also by the Pillar (Joyous service directed to the Pillar where the original mind/God is ) (God compares the prayer’s mind with the original mind of the pillar, to see if  he would give the prayer the blessings). These prayers are directed to the people who can understand (nihon) in the high mountains.

Tojin to nihon no mono to wakeru no wa

Hi to mizu to o irete wakeru de 2-47

The town’s people and Nihon in distinguishing between,

fire and water (illness) will be placed to distinguish them.

Summary of chapter 2

After the mind is made pure, the Joyous Service will follow

The Joyous Service brings new members (crops) to our churches.

Message to the early followers to Prepare the Residence(church) where the truth is conveyed.

God will like to work in the “High Mountains” with our prayer; but he cannot due to the Kanrodai or the location of the original mind has not been located.

If the early followers ponder, and purify their minds, they hasten the location of the Kanrodai.

The early followers need to purify their minds. When this happens, God will bring new members to the residence (church) when the Joyous Service is performed.

God will place illness (fire and water) in distinguishing the minds of people near us when we perform the Joyous Service. These people will come to the church.

We must direct our prayer (Joyous Service) toward the Kanrodai for God to accept our sincere prayer. This specific location not yet located due to the impurity of the early followers.
