It is the heart that God wants us to understand. By understanding the heart, we can understand why we suffer or have joy. As you continue to read the verses, ponder how it is related to the heart, that God wants us to understand.
Interpretation:
Until now we have evil thoughts of greed, arrogance, self-love, covetousness and regret in our minds. God until now (Oyasama’s time) had only been on the sidelines looking at our misguided behaviors. But the following verse will tell us that God will begin to help us sweep these dusts from our minds.
