Somethings to Ponder
In the Ofudesaki, the words nihon and kara are found. What are kara and nihon? They appears to refer to types of people. What are you, kara or nihon? The definition of kara is without, or empty. So one may ask, what are the people of kara without? As for nihon, these people must have something or somethings that kara does not have.
The people of nihon have the understanding of the Original pure mind (shinjitsu), and the heart/soul (mune). The Original pure mind is a mind without regret, covetousness, self-love, greed, and arrogance. God wants us to attain this mind. When we attain this mind, we will attain happiness. How do we attain tthis mind? God tells us we must understand our own hearts/souls (mune). It is our own heart/souls that monitors our behaviors. Because of our own hearts/souls, we reap what we have sowed. God tells us when fate from our own hearts appears, we must ponder our own minds of these evil thoughts. When we continually do this, we can purify our own minds. When our minds are pure, only joy will come from our own hearts/souls.
In summary, the people of nihon understand the Original pure mind, and know how to purify their own minds by understanding what comes from their own hearts/souls. They know by attaining the Original pure mind, they will have joy in their lives. The people of kara do not know these teachings that are in the Ofudesaki.
For many, the attainment of the Original pure mind is what God expects. But for some, they would want to share God’s truth with others. They want the people of kara to become nihon. How does this happen? God tells us we must tell the people of kara about the Original pure mind (shinjitsu) and the heart/soul (mune). For a few, just giving them the information, they will understand the Original pure mind and the heart, and will proceed to purify their minds. They will become nihon. For other, they will need more convincing. This is where God comes into play.
God has given the people of nihon a special prayer called the Joyous Service. This is a prayer asking God to sweep the evil thoughts from the people of kara who we have spread the truth of the Original pure mind, and the heart/soul. God by the acceptance of our pure mind, will place illness on these people as guidance to help them understand what their own hearts do to purify their minds. These people will then come to our places of worship to be healed, and further informed of the Original pure mind, and the heart/soul to purify their own minds. By this process, the whole world will eventually become nihon!
Let me ask again, are you nihon or kara?
