Our Prayer to Heal the Sick

The sazuke or the breath (iki) is said to have healed people of serious illnesses. But does it work now? God tells us to perform any service or prayer, one must have a pure mind. This is a mind without disappointment (regret), covetousness, self-love, greed, and arrogance. In the Ofudesaki, God continues to prepare the early followers to attain the Original pure mind (shinjitsu). God tells us when one attains the Original pure mind, any blessings will be provided by God. God has granted us Services to help save the world. This includes the Joyous Service, and the Sazuke which we are talking about today. The blessing that God gives out is all dependent on our own pure mind. We must know God’s truths, and apply it to ourselves, before we can save others.
Before performing the sazuke, tell people the following: One must have a pure mind to live a happy life without suffering. To purify the mind one must understand one’s own hearts. It is the heart/soul or that monitors one’s behavior. If we do good, it rewards us, and if we do bad, it punishes or guides us. These rewards or punishment may not appear until the next lives. We reap what we have sowed. If the person can understand these teachings, and they give us permission to pray, proceed with the sazuke.
In Japanese:
Ashiki harai tasuke tamae Tenri-O-no-Mikoto (3 time)
Namu tasuke tamae Tenri-o-no-Mikoto 3 times
Then repeat the previous step 3 more times
In English:
Evil thoughts sweeping, save ( her or him) please , Heaven’s truth Saving God X 3 (hand dance)
God, cure (him or her) please, Heaven’s truth Saving God. X 3 (we are physically praying over the affected parts of the body with our hands)
Then repeat the previous step 3 more times.
Justification for the sazuke:
We are asking God to help sweep evil thoughts from this person to save them in the future.
For now, asking God to cure the disease or suffering, so they can be convinced of God’s workings to help one purify their minds. They can then purify their minds by understanding their own hearts and the Original pure mind.
This justification of healing of people, is like the grant of safe child delivery. This grant only worked on people that were inclined to understand the teachings. It was not contingent on the person having a pure mind, but was contingent on the person understanding the teachings, and applying it in the future to save themselves, by purifying their minds.
In summary, one must have a pure mind to perform the sazuke. One must convey the teachings about the Original pure mind and the heart/soul to the person we pray for. The person must be able to understand the teachings. We must ask permission to pray for them to cure their illness. If all these steps are followed, God will provide the blessings of healing!
