ARE YOU NIHON OR KARA

ARE YOU NIHON OR KARA?
These two words in the Ofudesaki has alway been a mystery to me. What are the definitions of kara and nihon?

Kara is translated as without or emptiness, and nihon can be divided into ni and hon. Ni is translated as the number two, and hon could be translated as real or truth (honshin).

My interpretation is that nihon are people that understand the two truths of God’s teachings. These are the Original pure mind (shinjitsu), and the heart/soul (mune).  Kara are people that do not understand these two concepts. Which one are you?

Just to make clear, both nihon and kara may both have minds that have negative thoughts. But because of knowing God’s truths, nihon knows how to purify their minds to attain health and happiness. This is why God tells us to spread God’s truth to the people of kara, so they can become nihon. This is important to understand, because it is only nihon that are prayers are directed to, when we say:

Evil thoughts sweeping, save them please, Heaven’s Truth Saving God

We are asking God to help sweep the minds of the people that understand God’s teachings.  Again, this is why we must spread God’s teachings to kara, so we can pray for them. What is the purpose of God placing illness as guidance to kara, if they cannot understand why God is placing the illness upon them, to help them sweep their evil thoughts?

There are many reasons why our religion is not growing like God has promised us. This is difficult to say, but I believe that many of the Tenrikyo members are kara. They do not understand God’s teachings of the soul/heart(mune) and the Original pure mind (shinjitsu) that are in the Ofudesaki. How could we try to save others when we do not even understand the teachings, and we do not understand our own prayer to save others. The Ofudesaki gives us the ingredients to save ourselves so we can attain health and happiness. But more importantly, it gives us the ingredients to save others, especially with the Joyous Service that God has granted us.

If you disagree with me, that is okay. But please read the Ofudesaki as it was written in Japanese, and the  most accurate English translation that you can read at heaventruth.com, and order on Amazon. God’s Recipe for Health & Happiness (summary) and God’s Truth for Health & Happiness (complete 17 chapters). Especially read the topics on shinjitsu and mune.

The world is suffering now. We need to share God’s teachings to the world. When we understands the concepts of mune and shinjitsu, God will help us spread the teachings to the world!

Evil thoughts sweeping, save them please, Heaven’s Truth Saving God.
