Why Our Religion Does Not Grow
Many people think that just by praying, God will save the world so we can all live the Joyous life. Our religion place emphasis on the daily and monthly prayers, as God has given us a special prayer to save the world. But unfortunately our prayers do not appear to be working, as we see suffering and hatred in this world. Why is our prayers for world salvation not working? Why is our religion not growing?
The answers are in the Ofudesaki. God tells us we must understand the pure mind, a mind without disappointment (oshii), covetousness (hoshii), self-love (kawaii), greed (yoku), and arrogance (kouman). This is a mind that will bring health and happiness.
God also tells us we must understand the heart/soul (mune). It is our own hearts/souls that collect the negative energies created by on actions upon these negative thoughts. Its stores them and eventually releases these negative energies as our negative fates when the right opportunities appear. We reap what we have sowed because of our own hearts/souls. This is why God tells us when obstacles or sufferings appear, we should ponder our own minds for the negative thoughts that brought upon the sufferings. This is how we purify our own minds.
Next when our minds are purified, will our prayers become effective? Not yet, God tells us we must spread the truth of the heart/soul, and the Original pure mind to others before our prayers become effective. This is the difficult part, but God tells us there is nothing to fear in spreading the teachings of God.
In summary, it does take a commitment in praying daily, and attending the monthly Service at our churches. But unfortunately this will not bring upon world salvation by itself. We must follow the steps given in the Ofudesaki. Please read the most accurate English translation of the Ofudesaki, as it will open your eyes to God’s teachings to save the world.
The Truth of God
God created human beings to live the “Joyous life”. What happened in Israel was not the Joyous life, where hundreds of people were killed and tortured by people who have hatred toward them. These people do not know God’s truths, that their evil behavior will eventually result in suffering to themselves. Whether these people are brought to justice in this life time or not, their own souls/hearts will bring justice to them. This is God’s truth.
Why am I writing about this to all of you now? We as a religion are not spreading God’s truth to the world. We do not understand the teachings in the Ofudesaki, and are depending on our religious leaders to interpret the contents of the Ofudesaki. There are three main topics addressed in the Ofudesaki.
The first is the Original pure mind, the mind without disappointment, covetousness, self-love, greed, and arrogance. This is a mind that will bring upon health and happiness.
The second topic is the heart/soul (mune) that we must understand. It is our heart/soul that collects the negative energy from our evil actions, stores them and eventually releases them as our negative fates. These fates may not appear until the next life time.We reap what we have sowed because of the heart/soul. This is what these people who act on their negative thoughts do not understand.
The third topic is what God will do to help us convince people about the soul/heart and the Original mind. We have the Joyous Service, that I believe that we are using inappropriately at this time. Before this prayer becomes effective, we must ourselves understand the heart/soul and the Original pure mind. Afterward we must spread the truth of the heart/soul (mune) and the pure mind (shinjitsu) that will bring upon only health and happiness. Then we must perform the Joyous Service, asking God to help these people we have spread God’s teachings to. This is how we save the world!
Who are we trying to save. God tells us there are no evil people in the world. These people like the terrorist that we believe are evil, have only accumulated negative thoughts in their minds. These negative thoughts can spread like a virus from one person to another. But like the virus, thay also can be eliminated. This is what the Ofudesaki teaches. It teaches us how to remove our negative thoughts.
The world believes that we can solve the problem by killing these misguided people. But we cannot kill or eradicate the negative thoughts by killing God’s children. This is why we must spread God’s teachings to the world, so we can even save the people that are committing the most horrendous crimes.
In summary, those in our religion by just simply performing the Service are not helping. God in the Ofudesaki tells us how to purify our own minds, and help others purify their own minds.
