Interpretation:
Oyasama was one of the prime instruments in the creation of human beings. When God descended from heaven, God asked the family of Oyasama to accept her as the Shrine of God. In the early day, people directed their prayer through Oyasama. Today, as many believe her soul to reside at the Residence (Kanrodai), we pray in the direction of the Kanrodai where God and Oyasama exist.

Interpretation:
The instruments referred are the sea creatures that God found in the muddy ocean to start human beings. It is interesting that God calls herself Moon/Sun for the first time in chapter 6 of the Ofudesaki. As you know the moon and sun have a great amount of effect on the climate and geographic movement of the earth. It is the first time also, that God tells us that natural disasters like hurricanes, and earthquakes are God’s anger and regret.

Would presume that the life span of these early pre-human creatures were 3 years and 3 months. They were all conceived by the first couple Izanagi and Izanami.

Interpretation:
The first couple gave birth to 900,099,999 living sea creatures. Some consider this story of human creation as a myth, while others consider this as true. From a scientific perspective, this story of creation does not go contrary to theories of human evolution.

Interpretation:

Spirited also means the purification of the mind. This is a mind that is void of regret, covetousness, greed, arrogance, and self-love. When the mind becomes pure, the heart will follow to become pure. A pure heart will only bring upon joy. A mind without evil thoughts will only bring upon positive actions. Remember we reap what we have sowed.
