OFUDESAKI 13-97
Again, it is this pure mind that God wants us to attain. This is a mind without, regret (oshii), covetousness (hoshii), self-love (kawaii), greed (yoku), and arrogance (kouman). When one attains the pure mind, only health and happiness will appear from one’s own soul. When the mind is pure, one is saved!!

Since talks by themselves may not convince others, God will begin to place illness as guidance to convince people about the soul, to help them attain the pure mind.

OFUDESAKI 13-69
If our prayer toward the Kanrodai is performed with a pure mind, God will place illness as guidance on the people we have spread God’s truth. God guarantees that this guidance will appear.

This simple solution of attaining the pure mind to live the Joyous life is too simple for people to understand. People think that religion should be complicated involving deep prayers to God, sacrifices, pilgrimages and donations to the church. God is telling us in the Ofudesaki that all we need to do is attain the pure mind by understanding what comes from our own soul. When the mind is pure, one is saved. Only joy and health will come from one’s own soul.
