What does it mean to be saved?
What does it mean to be saved? You hear expression like, Jesus wants to save you. In the Christian church, by being saved, your soul will not descend to hell. But what does it mean in our religion, specifically what does it mean in the Ofudesaki. In the Youki-tsutome our daily prayer, is the following:
Evil (thoughts) sweeping, save them please.
Tenri-o-no-Mikoto.
Evil (thoughts) sweeping , save them quickly.
Everyone purified, the Kanrodai.
The 3rd part of the Youki-tsutome confirms that we are saved, when our minds are purified of negative thoughts. In the Ofudesaki, God tells us that these negative thoughts are, disappointment, covetousness, self-love, greed, and arrogance.
WHat happens when we are saved, or when our minds are pure? God tells us that only joy and health will come from our own souls. This is why we must spread the truth of both the pure mind and of the soul to the world.
救われるとはどういうことか。イエスはあなたを救いたいのです、というような表現を耳にする. しかし、私たちの宗教、特におふでさきではどういう意味なのでしょうか。私たちの日々の祈りである「Youki-tsutome」には、次のように書かれている：
Youki-tsutome』の第三部では、私たちのkokoro (mind) がマイナス思考から浄化されたとき、私たちは救われることを確認している。おふでさきの中で、神様は私たちに、失望、貪欲、自己愛、貪欲、傲慢などの否定的な思いを教えておられます。
私たちが救われた時、つまりkokoro (mind) が清められた時、何が起こるのでしょうか？ 神は、喜びと健康だけが私たち自身の魂から生まれると教えている。だからこそ私たちは、純粋なkokoro (mind) と魂の両方の真理を世に広めなければならないのです」。

WHAT IS THE MUNE?
人々は、おふでさきのどこを理解しなければならないのかと尋ねてきた。 おふでさきの最初の一節で、神様は私たちに「魂（むね）を理解しない」とおっしゃいます。 天理教では、このおふでさきを「神様の kokoro (mind) も神様の心も分からない」と解釈しています。 この解釈は正しいのだろうか。 おふでさきの最初の一節がわからなければ、神様の教えを理解することはできません。これが、神が私たちに理解してほしい根本的なメッセージである。もし人々が自分自身の魂を理解すれば、邪悪な考えに基づいて行動することはなくなるだろう。
最も神聖な聖典の最初の節で、神が私たちに理解できないと言っているムネとは何でしょうか？ おふでさきには、ムネという言葉を含む節が40以上あります！ これらの節を調べてみると、ムネとは魂のことであるようだ。 私たちの魂は、私たちが否定的な考えに基づいて行動することによって自ら作り出した運命を含んでいるのだ。
純粋なkokoro (mind) を得るためには、どのように邪悪な考えを取り除けばいいのだろうか？神は、私たちが純粋なkokoro (mind) を持てば、健康と幸福だけが自分の魂からやってくると教えている。 自分の魂から苦しみがやってきたら、他人を責めるのではなく、自分の kokoro (mind) をよく考え、否定的な考えを行動に移さないようにしなさい、と。こうして自分のkokoro (mind) を清めるのだ。
私たちのkokoro (mind) が清らかであれば、神の真理を他の人々に広めることができると神は教えている。神はそのために、魂とその働きを人々に納得させるために、私たちに「Youki-tsutome」を授けてくださったのです。 まず、私たちは教えを他の人々に広める必要があります。次に、私たちは神様にお願いして、自分の体に現れる神様の導きを理解することによって、人々が自分の心を掃除するのを助けるために、陽気づとめを行います。こうして教えは世界に広まっていくのです。天理教はおふでさきの教えを守っているのでしょうか。
残念なことに、天理教の会員数が減っているという話を人から聞きます。 お布施や儀式、儀礼が神の教えよりも重要視されるようになったからです。私たちはおふでさきの教えに従わなければなりません！
What is the mune in the first verse of the most sacred scripture that God says we cannot understand? There are over 40 verses in Ofudesaki that contain the word mune! In examining these verses, it seems that mune refers to the soul. Our souls contain the destiny we have created for ourselves by acting on our negative thoughts. We reap what we have sowed. This is the fundamental message that God wants us to understand. If people understand their own soul, they will not act upon their evil thoughts.
How do we eliminate our evil thoughts to attain the pure mind? God tells us that if we have a pure mind, only health and happiness will come from our own souls. God tells us that when suffering come from our souls, to ponder our own mind, instead of blaming others, and not act upon our negative thoughts. This is how we purify our own minds.
God tells us when our minds are pure, we can spread God’s truths to others. God has granted us the Youki-tsutome to do this, to convince people of the soul, and what it does. First we must spread the teachings to others, then we perform the Youki-tsutome asking God to help the people sweep their own minds by understanding God’s guidance that will appear on their bodies. This is how the teachings are spread to the world. Has the Tenrikyo Church following these teachings in the Ofudesaki?
Unfortunately, I hear from people that Tenrikyo membership is declining. This is because offerings, rituals and ceremonies have become more important than the teachings of God. We must follow the teachings of Ofudesaki!
