In the Osashizu is written:
Repentance in thought is not enough. To put it into action is truly to repent. March 26, 1896
What this means, is that just saying sorry for past indiscretions is not enough. One must not make the same mistake in the future. Sometimes words are not enough. We must put our resolve into action.
There are many of us that continue to apologize for our past actions, but continue to make the same mistakes. It is only when we apologize for our past mistake and then proceed to avoid these indiscretions that may be called true repentance. This is repentance that God accepts and rewards.
