Seek the Truth

Some one once asked, how do I know how much I have progressed spiritually? Oyasama was quoted as saying “ If you have anger, you do not know the teachings of God. If you understand God’s truth, anger should not arise.

The emotion of anger, like the thoughts of greed, arrogance, and self love sets forth the motion of suffering in the future. Unlike the other evils (greed, arrogance, and self love) that permeate the mind, anger is easy to detect.  The increased palpation of the heart, the lump in the throat, and the irrational mind are all signs of anger. The detection of anger gives notice that one may not be pure in mind.  If you have anger, continue to seek for God’s truth in obtaining purity of mind. Seek the truth!
