Webster defines religion as: an organized system of beliefs, ceremonies, and rules used to worship a god or a group of gods. Overall religion is supposed to make one closer with God, and in essence become good. Like a recipe book, if followed closely, the end result is a scrumptious meal. In the case of religion, the end result is a joyous life on earth and in heaven.
But there are religions that are difficult to follow. Even the clergy who are supposed to be closer to God stray from the path. If those who dedicate themselves to God have difficulty, how are the common people to follow?
There are religions to profess that theirs is the true religion, but kill and maim in the name of their God. Is this good? Is this what God what? Will this make you closer to God?
Beware of the wolf that comes in sheep’s clothing. Have faith, but not blind faith. Ponder, and do not rush to make judgments. Use your common sense, which God has given you. What helps others is the true path. Seek a religion that helps others.
