To have faith and joy is a difficult path. It is easy to be spirited and have faith when good fortune continues to shine on you. But how easy is it when sufferings, temptations, and obstacles appear? The emotions of anger, doubt and worry often arise, in even the most religious person.
As difficult as it may be, we have control of our lives. We cannot control our immediate fate, since the wheel of causality is already in motion. But we can control how we react to our fate. We can choose not to have anger, or not to be taken in by our temptations. Fate or causality does not control us; we by our use of our mind control our fate. We can choose to be positive. This response will bring upon joy in the future by the principle of cause and effect. But fate is no easy task to overcome if we do not understand the concept of causality and reincarnation. Many still wonder why we suffer or have joy. Will we control our fate, or will fate control us?
