Interpretation:
When our minds are purified, we will become spirited, where life will be exciting every day. We will no longer need physical possessions. drugs, power, etc.. to make us happy. The purification of the mind is foremost in our happiness. This means that we truly need to eliminate regret, covetousness, self-love, greed, and arrogance. God teaches how to do this in the Ofudesaki and the Mikagura-uta.
