Interpretation:
God is telling the early followers that God would have completely cured Kokan, if she would have returned to the Residence. Remember she was one of the instruments God used in beginning the worldl. Because she has a causality for the Origin, her presence at the location of the Origin is most important in the salvation of the world. Note that the her passing away was a sad occurrence, but her soul returned or will eventually return to the Residence in Ojiba to continue the preparation to save the world.
