You Reap What you Sow

This is the verse of the day in the Facebook Mikagura-uta Study Group. This I believe is one of the most important verse. God is telling us that everything we do is monitored by our own hearts/souls. Everything we do, comes back to us. It is not God that rewards or punishes us for our behavior. We have an internal mechanism, which God calls the heart, that monitors our behavior. But unfortunately the world does not understand the heart, and believe that they can do anything they want, as long as no one sees them committing the crime. This is why God throughout the Ofudesaki, tells us we do not understand the heart/soul. There is a Christian verse from Galatians 6:7 that expresses the same warning, “You reap what you sow”.  This tells the consequences of our actions, but it does not explain how it happens, like in the Ofudesaki. It is not God that brings justice, but is is our own hearts/souls that does it. Imagine a world that all believed in the heart/soul. How better the world will be with everyone helping each other.
