What does it mean to plant a seed? In farming planting seeds will result in a harvest of crops. But before we can expect a harvest, the farmer must prepare the soil, by tilling, weeding and watering. God compares the harvesting of crops to the harvesting of new members to save. How do we plant seeds to attain new members? Wherever we go, God tells us since this is God’s field, every seed (efforts to spread the teachings) will sprout if we follow God’s instructions. What are the instructions to attain new members?

First we must purify our own minds by understanding what fates come from our own soul. Then when our minds are pure, we must spread God’s truth to others in places we choose. Then we must perform a simple prayer (Youki-tsutome) asking God to help sweep the negative thoughts of these people we have spread the teachings to. God then places illness as guidance to these people. If they understand God’s guidance, they come to our places of worship to be healed.  We perform the osazuke to heal them and further teach them so they can purify their own minds. This is how we harvest new members to save.

The location of the Origin of human beings is important because this is the location we pray toward God to receive any of God’s blessings, like illness as guidance to help people understand the soul. This is why God tells us because the residence exist, the harvest of new members are assured if the instructions are followed

『みかぐらうた』第七節は、神の教えを伝え、新たにたすける人々を得ることのできる場所について述べています。神は、「ぢば（人類創造の元の場所）があるから、蒔いた種は必ず芽を出す」と教えられています。これは、どのような意味なのでしょうか。

種を蒔くとは、どういうことでしょうか。農業では、種を蒔けば作物の収穫につながります。しかし、収穫を期待する前に、農夫は土を耕し、雑草を取り除き、水を与えて畑を整えなければなりません。

神は、この作物の収穫を、新たにたすける人々を得ることにたとえておられます。では、新しい人々を得るためには、どのように種を蒔くのでしょうか。

神は、どこへ行っても、そこは神の畑であると教えられています。したがって、神の教えを伝えるための努力という種を蒔けば、神の教えに従う限り、その種は必ず芽を出します。

では、新しい人々を得るための神の教えとは何でしょうか。

まず、自分自身の魂から生じる運命を理解し、自分の心を澄み切らせなければなりません。心が澄み切ったなら、自ら選んだ場所で神の真実を人々に伝えます。そして、教えを伝えた人々の陰気な思いを神がお掃きくださるようお願いする、簡単な祈りである「ようきづとめ」を勤めます。

神がその祈りを受け入れられると、その人々にお導きとして病をお与えになります。もしその人々が神のお導きを理解すれば、病を治していただくために私たちの信仰の場へ来るようになります。私たちはおさづけを取り次いで病を癒し、さらに教えを伝えて、その人自身が心を澄み切らせることができるよう導きます。これが、新たにたすける人々を得る、すなわち収穫する方法です。

人類創造の元の場所である「ぢば」が重要なのは、病というお導きなど、人々が魂を理解する助けとなる神のご守護をいただくために、私たちが神に向かって祈る場所だからです。

だからこそ神は、「ぢばがあるから、教えに従って種を蒔けば、新たにたすける人々という収穫は必ず得られる」と教えられているのです。
