OFUDESAKI 8-69
God wants everyone to be spirited. This permanent emotion of joy only occurs after one’s mind is purified. Wealth, power, alcohol, drugs, and sex, cannot bring upon a permanent joy. It is only a mind of shinjitsu (Original mind), that can make us spirited.
God’s Instructions for Missionaries
Understanding The Ofudesaki To Spread God’s Truths.
God descended from heaven to teach us how to purify our own minds to attain the Original mind. God through Oyasama (Miki Nakayama) and the Ofudesaki (sacred book) gives us the recipe to spread God’s truths. These are the following ingredients:
Understand the Original mind (shinjitsu), the pure mind to become spirited.
The Original mind, is God’s pure mind that was place into the first parents, who started human beings. This is a mind without regret, covetousness, self-love, greed, and arrogance. When we attain this mind, we will become spirited.
Understand the heart (mune) to purify one’s own mind, to attain the Original mind.
When negative fate appears from the heart, one should ponder the mind, and not act upon the negative thoughts. By this process, one can eliminate the negative thoughts in the mind, and prevent further negative fate accumulating in the heart. These two steps, should bring upon the spirited mind, and the Joyous life. But upon being spirited, most people will want to share God’s truths with others, and will continue with the next steps.
Spread the truths of the Original mind, the heart, and what God will begin to manifest, to help others become spirited.
This spreading of God’s truth is called hinokishin in the Mikagura-uta. This is most important in the next step to save the world. If we do not tell people of God’s truth, they will not see God’s blessings when it appears.
Perform the Joyous Service with the Original mind (pure)
This in a prayer granted by God to save the world. This prayer is only accepted by God, when we have a pure mind or the Original mind. God with the acceptance, will then place guidance on the people we have spread God’s truth.
Heal the people coming to our places of worship, and further teach them God’s truth and the Joyous Service.
The People we have spread God’s truth, they will come to our places to be healed , of the guidance given by God, which was given to them to help them understand the heart and the Original mind. They by the information given will be able to purify their minds to become spirited, and will continue this process of spreading God’s truth if they wish.
OFUDESAKI 8-68
When our minds are pure, by understanding the heart, then God is telling us that are prayers will be accepted by God; thus setting the stage for God to save the world.
OFUDESAKI 8-67
Our fates come from our hearts. How do we clear our hearts from these dusts? We must calm our minds and ponder the dusts in our minds, when negative fate appears. We must not blame others for the obstacles that appear in our lives. Our hearts are just showing us what we have done before. If we continue to ponder our own minds, and not act upon our evil thoughts, we can clear our hearts.
Human beings were created from both heaven and earth
I would talk about the Joyous Service, where God is describing the beginning of human beings. Why is this so important, that it is included in our prayer to save others? It initially appears to be out of place, since the first and third part of the Service is a prayer asking God to help others. Why is this included in the Service? The following is from the Joyous Service:
These workings, earth and heaven, representing,
Wife/husband created and brought forth.
This is the beginning of the world.
This is telling us that human beings were created from parts of both earth and heaven. Human beings were created from the existing sea creatures on earth, and also from the Original mind of God. God’s pure mind was placed in the first parents of human beings. From the muddy ocean, important parts of other sea creatures were added to the first parents to begin the creation of humans. The following from the Ofudesaki confirms this:
Kono moto wa) (doroumi naka ni) (uo to mi to)
(Sore hikidashite) (fufu hajimeta) 6-32
This Origin, within the muddy sea, a fish and serpent,
that I drew them forth, and started the first couple.
(Kono you no) (moto hajimari wa) (doro no umi)
(Sono naka yori mo) (dojo bakari ya) 6-33
These workings, the beginning origin was the muddy ocean.
Within that, there were only loaches.
(Sono uchi ni) (uo to mii to) (ga majiriru)
(Yoku misumaseba) (ningen no kao) 6-34
Among them were a fish and a serpent that existed.
Looking closely, I saw human faces.
(Sore o mite) (omoi tsuita wa) (shinjitsu no)
(Tsukihi no kokoro) (bakari naru zo ya) 6-35
Seeing that, an idea came, the Original mind
of God’s mind, only will they become.
(Kono mono ni) (dogu o yosete) (dandan to)
(Shugo oshieta) (koto de aru nara) 6-36
These creatures, instrument I will add. Step by step,
the providence I thought them.
Our prayer is asking God, to help restore the Original mind (pure mind), which was placed in the first parents of humans. This is a mind that will bring upon joy, and will make us spirited. This is why it is included in the most important prayer in the world. We need to return to the Original mind (pure mind) before God accepts our prayers to save the world. This is also why God tells us that the Service is the beginning of the world (verse 15-29). Our minds should be like the first parents, when we perform it.
OFUDESAKI 8-66
God has been on the sidelines only watching the world. God is preparing the early followers for what comes next.
OFUDESAKI 8-64
High places refer to the people who do not know God’s teachings, or even oppose these teachings. God cares for all these people; and God wants to save them all.
OFUDESAKI 8-63
God sees our negative fates by looking at our individual hearts. These negative fates are caused by acting on our evil thoughts in the past. This is why God wants to teach us how to sweep away the dusts (fates) from our hearts.
