My birthday wish

Look at how causality is working in the world, and you will see the journey taken before. January 30, 1892 Instructions (Osashizu)

We reap what we sow. This is why both suffering and joy exists in the world. We see, yet we do not see. We see the happenings of the world, yet we do not understand.

The solutions to the problems of the world are within us, within our minds. We must remove greed, arrogance, and self love from our minds. Ponder the manifestations that occur each day, and ponder your mind. The world reflects our minds!

Verse(s) of the Week

WELCOME

GOD CREATED ALL MANKIND TO LIVE A JOYOUS LIFE. WE ARE  GOD’S CHILDREN AND GOD WILL SAVE US ALL; BUT WE MUST FIRST BELIEVE IN CAUSALITY.

UNDERSTANDING CAUSALITY OPENS THE PATH TO JOY. CAUSALITY EXPLAINS WHY WE SUFFER OR HAVE JOY. NO MATTER HOW DESPERATE OUR SITUATION MAY APPEAR, WE CAN PLANT GOOD SEEDS NOW THAT WILL BLOSSOM INTO JOY.

GOD WILL BEGIN TO HELP THE WORLD UNDERSTAND CAUSALITY. WE HAVE A SPECIAL PRAYER  ASKING GOD TO HELP OTHERS UNDERSTAND CAUSALITY.

INTRODUCTION:

God has created mankind to live a joyous life with everyone helping each other (the original causality).

The reason God began human beings was the desire to see you lead a joyous life. (Tip of the Writing Brush 14-26)

OUR BELIEFS:

We believe in the Law of  causality. Good thoughts and actions result in joy.  Evil (greed, arrogance, and self love) thoughts and actions result in suffering and inconveniences in the future.

God will begin to shorten the time lapse between the cause and effect, making the relationship easier to understand. God has given us a  special prayer that will make this possible.

OUR MISSION:

To pray daily with our special prayer (Joyous Service), asking God to help  people realize the law of causality. When this happens. people will begin to eliminate evil (greed and arrogance) from their minds.

To eliminate greed, arrogance, and self-love from our minds, thus making our special prayer more receptive to God.

To tell the world what God is going to do when he accepts  our special prayer (shortens the time lapse between cause and effect, making this relationship easier to understand). Ponder over any illnesses. They may be God’s guidance in teaching you causality.

To heal the illnesses brought upon by God’s guidance by performing our healing prayer (Sazuke).

OUR GOAL:

TO HAVE ALL MANKIND UNDERSTAND CAUSALITY; AND TO HAVE ALL MANKIND LIVE A JOYOUS LIFE BY HELPING EACH OTHER.

VERSES OF THE WEEK:

Step by step, I am solely making preparations to truly to save the whole world 4-36

After that, you may stay as long as you wish, without illness, death, or weakening. 4-37

Further, after the passage of long years, there will be no aging at all. 4-38

Interpretation of verse: These will all occur when all mankind are purified in mind.

We Do Not Understand

Causality plays no favorites. Rich people, poor people, religious people, atheist, aristocracy, and commoners have all something in common. The law of causality rules over us. We reap what we sow. This is why both suffering and joy exists in the world. We see, yet we do not see. We see the happenings of the world, yet we do not understand.

Spreading the Truth of Causality

Causality plays no favorites. Rich people, poor people, religious people, atheist, aristocracy, and commoners have all something in common. The law of causality rules over us. We reap what we sow. This is why both suffering and joy exists in the world. We see, yet we do not see. The world does not see the relationship between the cause and effect. We do not believe that we have lived before (reincarnation).

Where does God fit in a world that regulates itself? God created this world and has sent his prophets and messiahs to bring the message of joy. Yet we do not understand their message. We believe that suffering is good for the soul, or it arises from God’s will. We believe that we can create our own happiness, sometimes at the expense of others. We believe that God requires praise and sacrifice, like an emperor.

God does not punish us. We bring suffering on ourselves. We must spread the truth of causality, so that suffering gradually disappears. Gradually because understanding causality by itself does not automatically bring upon joy. It gives us an understanding why we suffer or have joy. By this process, we can continue to purify our minds, and eliminate greed, arrogance and self love.

It is this importance of understanding causality that we pray to God, to help the world understand the truth that will change the world.

We are good

In some religion man is considered essentially evil. By evil, I mean having a mind of greed, arrogance, and self love. We are told that we are imperfect, and guaranteed to sin. But we are told that we are forgiven for our past and future transgressions by the death of the Son of God. Those who believe this will be guaranteed eternal life in heaven, while suffering and evil continues throughout their lives.

But in the Heaven’s Truth Church (Tenrikyo), we are told that there is no one who is essentially evil. We were originally pure in mind.

Among all mankind, there is no one who is evil.

It is only a bit of dust stuck on. 1-53

It is that the dusts of greed, arrogance, and self love have accumulated in our minds. If we are able eliminate these evils from our minds, we become pure as we were originally. This is the ultimate goal of God. When this happen, the world will all live a joyous life with everyone helping each other. Could this be heaven on earth? Do we humans have the resources to create a heaven on earth?  We ask God in our prayers to help eliminate these evils from our minds.

Does God Need Praise?

I would like to talk about sacrificing to God, as it is a religious holiday today. But does God want us to sacrifice ourselves, or any of our possessions? Supposedly sacrificing is a way of showing praise to God. But does God want praise?

Ever since the beginning of mankind, man has been prostrating before God. The Incas, and Aztecs sacrificed people to their Gods. The cults and religions of today continue to sacrifice to their Gods. These include the major religions of the world today.

We may not be sacrificing people, but we are still offering food, money, and abstinence to the Gods. For example, religions have certain days that we are to avoid certain food, or even abstain from all foods. There are also selected days where some activities are not permitted. But does God need sacrifice and praise, or is this a human trait?

If we look out throughout history, it is the evil dictators, the madmen who demanded praise and sacrifice from their people. It is repulsive to place these people in the same category as God.

Sacrificing is a good trait, if it leads to helping others. For example, parents sometimes sacrifice themselves to help their children. People sacrifice themselves in helping the less fortunate. But by us sacrificing to God, what does it accomplish, whom does it help? If the answer is oneself, then it may not be what God wants.

Sacrificing and praising God may be a man made rituals. We must continue to separate what is man made, and what originated from God in our sacred books. We must help others. This is what God wants.

Causality as the Truth

Look at how causality is working in the world, and you will see the journey taken before. January 30, 1892 Instructions (Osashizu)

I feel this is a quote that has paramount importance to the world. We see joy and suffering in the world today. But most of us do not know their origins. Some say what happens to us is by chance or coincidence; others say it is God’s plan. But these are explanations that arise from our hopes, or our guesses.

We also see that there are Good and bad people in the world. We wish that the good are blessed, and the evil our punished. But we all know good people that suffer, and bad people that appear to have good lives. Many of us hope that the good are blessed and the evil people are punished in the afterlife. But again these explanations arise from our hopes, and our guesses.

It is fact that there are good and evil behaviors in this world. It is a fact that there is also suffering and joy in the world.   May not these factors be related, a cause and effect?

The opening statement is short, but profound. Understanding causality may bring one to understand why we suffer or have joy. It is human nature to avoid suffering; therefore understanding causality will only bring upon good behavior that will bring forth joy and happiness.

Look at how causality is working in the world, and you will see the journey taken before

The contamination of religion

Suppose that the prophets and the messiahs walked the earth long ago spreading God’s truth. But suppose thousands of years later some unscrupulous entrepreneurs had an idea to profit from this plethora of information originating from the heavens. They gathered all the information that was available, and deleted and added what they thought was appropriate to solicit contributions from the masses. They called this their sacred book from God. They anointed themselves as God’s messengers of the truth. They guaranteed the salvation of the masses by soliciting gifts and donations. From this largesse, they lived comfortable lives.

But how could they continue to increase in wealth. They needed to bring in more people to believe. They needed to build more churches to house the people seeking their salvation. As more people came into the religion, the unscrupulous establishment collected more money. Great cathedrals and elegant churches were built to bring in the masses. Schools were built to teach people how to bring in more people (clergy). The church becomes an institution to make money, and the teachings become secondary.

This is not a story of one religion on this earth. But it is a story of almost all the religions. Greed and arrogance have contaminated our religions. We are led to believe that we can have an everlasting happy afterlife if we believe, and if we support the church (donations); but we do not know why we suffer or have joy on earth now. Possibly the early prophets and messiahs knew the purpose of life, or why we exist. Could it have been to have all mankind live a joyous life by helping each other?

The Ponzi Scheme of the Religions

Suppose that the prophets and the messiahs walked the earth long ago spreading God’s truth. But suppose thousands of years later some unscrupulous entrepreneurs had an idea to profit from this plethora of information originating from the heavens. They gathered all the information that was available, and deleted and added what they thought was appropriate to solicit contributions from the masses. They called this their sacred book from God. Schools were built to teach people how to bring in more people (clergy). The church becomes an institution to make money, and the teachings become secondary.

This is not a story of one religion on this earth. But it is a story of almost all the religions. Some how greed has become incorporated into our religions. It is not surprising that even the religious people do not understand God’s truth.

Pain is good for us. Can suffering also be good for us?

What is the purpose of pain? Everyone hopes to avoid pain, but pain helps us survive. Without the sensation of pain, our bodies can be damaged without our awareness of such danger. Pain tells us that something is wrong. In medicine, physicians are trained in determining where the pain is coming from, and prescribing medicine or treatment in repairing the source of pain. In the oral cavity, pain signals that something is wrong with our teeth or gums. Pain certainly is unwanted, but it is a necessity for our bodies to survive.

If pain has a beneficial purpose, can suffering also have beneficial properties for the soul? What or who causes suffering? Some say that God test us by giving us suffering like Job in the bible. Others say that suffering is God’s punishment for evil. The proponents of causality state that we cause our own sufferings by our thoughts and actions. These sufferings remind us that something is amiss with our minds. Causality is the process of purifying our minds. When we have good thoughts, we plant seeds of joy in the future. Causality besides explaining why we suffer, also explains why we have joy and health!
