OFUDESAKI-GOD'S TEACHINGS

If one has a pure mind, God will provide blessings of guidance to help people understand their own soul.

もし人が純粋な kokoro (mind) を持っているならば、神は人が自分の魂を理解できるように導きの祝福を与えてくださる。

THERE IS NO ONE WHO IS EVIL

In the Ofudesaki God tells us there is no one who is essentially evil. But in the news, we see stories of violence, killings, rapes, and torture of human beings.  How can God say there is no one who is evil?   God tells us that only dusts (evil thoughts) have attached to these people. These thoughts like a virus can be spread to others, and can also be swept away from the individual.  This is why in our prayer (youki-tsutome), we are asking God to help people sweep their evil thoughts away.It is these people that we must spread God’s truth of the soul. It is our own soul that monitors our behavior, and gives out justice for our actions. We reap what we have sowed.

What justice may occur to these people? In the Ofudesaki is the following that may occur to these people that commit heinous crimes:

あくにんはひとりもいない

おふでさき』の中で神は, 本質的に悪である者は一人もいない.しかし、ニュースでは、暴力、殺人、レイプ、人間への拷問などの話を目にする。神はどうして悪人などいないと言えるのか。 神は、これらの人々には塵（邪悪な思い）しかついていないと告げるウィルスのようなこれらの思考は、他の人たちにも広がり、また個人からも離れていく だからこそ、私たちの祈り（youki-tsutome）では、人々が邪悪な思いを一掃できるよう、神様にお願いしているのですこのような人々にこそ、私たちは神の魂の真理を広めなければならない。私たちの行動を監視し、私たちの行動に対して正義を下すのは、私たち自身の魂なのだ。私たちは蒔いた種を刈り取るのだ。

この人たちにはどんな正義があるのだろうかおふでさきには、凶悪犯罪を犯した人々に起こりうる次のようなことが書かれている：

WHY IS THE STORY OF ORIGIN IMPORTANT?

WHAT MUST BE REALIZED

Our religion will never spread to the world as it is now. There are over 7 billion people on earth, with near almost 0 percent Tenrikyo members. The permanent Kanroudai will never be established if we do not ponder this situation.

WHY DO I SAY THIS:

We do not understand God’s teachings in the Ofudesaki. We do not understand the soul (mune). God tells us in the first verse of the sacred scripture, that we do not understand our own soul. If we cannot understand the first verse, we will not be able to spread God’s teachings. We must understand the soul. Tenrikyo Church leaders believe that the first verse tells us that we do not understand God’s mind or God’s heart. This may be true that we do not understand God’s mind, but the mune is the soul, and not God’s mind. The mune is the soul we must understand.

Throughout the Ofudesaki, God tells us what the soul is. It is the sand that collects our demerits from acting on our negative thoughts (verse 3-11 Ofudesaki). It stores these demerits as our fates, and eventually manifest them as suffering when the right opportunity arises. The phrase what comes from the soul (mune no uchi yori) appears throughout the scripture. Our fates come from our souls. These opportunities may not manifest until the next life.  So we carry our fates and associated thoughts to the next life. This explains why suffering and joy appear in our lives.

Our memorization and performance of the Yorozuyo and 12 songs with perfection, the pilgrimages to Japan, and the performace of the osazuke to heal others in commendable,  but it will not convince the world of the truths in the Ofudesaki about our own soul. Again lets look at the results so far in the number of Tenrjkyo members.

WHAT MUST CHANGE:

First we must understand our own soul, and what it does. Then we must read and understand the Ofudesaki, so God can help us spread the teachings to the world. If we understand the soul, and spread it to others, God tells us  there will be no failure in a thousand of God’s guidance occurring to  help us to bring in new members by the performane of the Youki-tsutome. This guarantee is written  in the Ofudesaki. God tells us to test it out.

MY APOLOGY:

I apologize to the many faithful and devoted Tenrikyo members. Most of you are good people because you know most of the teachings of God. But unfortunately the most important truth is not understood. This is the truth of the soul to purify one’s mind. God tells us that when our minds are pure, only health and happiness will come from our own soul. This is the information we must spread to the world. With God’s help, this will happen.

実現しなければならないこと

私たちの宗教は、今のままでは世界に広がることはない。地球上には70億人以上の人々がいますが、天理教の信者はほぼ0％に近いのです。この状況をよく考えなければ、恒久的なかんろだいは確立されません。

なぜこんなことを言うのか：

私たちはおふでさきの神の教えを理解していません。私たちは魂（ムネ）を理解していません。神は聖典の最初の節で、私たちは自分の魂を理解していないと教えています。もし私たちが最初の節を理解できなければ、神の教えを広めることはできないでしょう。私たちは魂を理解しなければなりません。天理教教会の指導者たちは、この聖句の一節は、私たちが神の心や神の心を理解していないことを物語っていると考えている。しかし、むねとは魂であり、神の心ではない。ムネとは魂のことであり.

おふでさきの中で、神は魂とは何かを教えている。魂とは、否定的な考えで行動した私たちの短所を集める砂である（おふでさき3-11節）。魂はその短所を宿命として蓄え、やがて好機が訪れると苦しみとして現れる。この経典には、魂から来るもの（むねのうちより）という言葉が随所に出てくる。私たちの宿命は魂から生まれる。これらの機会は、来世まで現れないかもしれない。 だから私たちは、運命とそれに関連する思いを来世に持ち越すのである。苦しみや喜びが人生に現れるのは、このためである。

よろづよや十二曲を完璧に暗記し、演奏し、日本へ巡礼し、おたすけをして人を癒すことは称賛に値しますが、私たち自身の魂についてのおふでさきの真実を世界に納得させることはできません。もう一度、天理教の会員数のこれまでの結果を見てみよう。

何を変えなければならないか：

まず、私たちは自分自身の魂を理解しなければなりません。そして、おふでさきを読んで理解し、神がその教えを世に広めるのを助けてくださるようにしなければなりません。もし私たちが魂を理解し、それを他の人たちに広めることができれば、神様の導きが千のうち一度も失敗することなく、陽気づとめによって新しい会員をお迎えすることができると、神様は教えてくださっています。この保証はおふでさきに書かれています。神様は、それを試せとおっしゃっ ているのです。

お詫び

多くの忠実で献身的な天理教会員にお詫び申し上げます。あなた方のほとんどは、神の教えのほとんどを知っているので、善良な人々です。しかし、残念ながら最も重要な真理が理解されていません。これは、自分のkokoro (mind) を清めるための魂の真理です。kokoro (mind) が清らかであれば、健康と幸福だけが自分の魂からやってくると神は教えている。これは私たちが世界に広めなければならない情報です。神の助けがあれば、これは必ず実現する。

THE FOLLOWING IS THE FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANT VERSE IN THE OFUDESAKI:

WHY DO WE HAVE TO UNDERSTAND THE SOUL?

God tells us in the Ofudesaki that the soul is the sand that helps purify our minds (verse 3-11). The soul collects our demerits from our negative actions, stores them as our negative fates, and eventually manifest them as suffering back to us. You will understand this as karma or innen. In the Ofudesaki, the phrase “Mune no uchi yori” is often found. What comes from our souls is our fates. It is not God that punishes us for our negative actions. It is our own soul that does this. The suffering often occurs in the distant future, many times in our next lives. 

WHAT DO WE LEARN FROM UNDERSTANDING THE SOUL?

By understanding our soul, we can understand why suffering occurs in the world.

なぜ魂を理解しなければならないのか？

神は『おふでさき』の中で、魂は私たちの kokoro (mind) を浄化してくれる砂だと教えている（3-11節）。魂は、私たちの否定的な行為による短所を集め、それを否定的な宿命として蓄え、やがて苦しみとして私たちに返してくれる。これをカルマあるいはインネンと呼ぶ。おふでさきに「むねのうちより」という言葉があります。私たちの魂から生まれるものは、私たちの運命なのです。私たちの否定的な行為を罰するのは神ではない。私たち自身の魂がそうするのだ。その苦しみはしばしば遠い未来、多くは来世で起こる。
