Sweeping away dust

As one who frequently dusts the house, I notice that done frequently, dust usually wipes away easily. But if this dust stays and accumulates over time, it gets imbued onto the surface and is almost impossible to wipe away.

I believe it is the same as the evils (greed, arrogance, and self love) that accumulate in our minds. If we are wary of these dusts that accumulate in our minds, we can sweep them away easily when they appear. But if we are constantly having greed, arrogance, and self love in our minds, they also become ingrained in our minds and are difficult to remove by ourselves. How easy is it to fight an addiction? How easy is it to overcome anger? We need help.

Being hot tempered from my youth, I know that anger is not good for me. It causes an elevation of my blood pressure, irrational thinking, and regrettable actions. I know anger comes from arrogance, and arrogance is one of the vices that we must not accumulate in our minds. But when negative events occur, anger inevitably arises. Like the grains of dust that penetrate the surface, the dust of arrogance is imbued in my mind.

This is why I ask God to help sweep away these evils from my mind. With the acceptance of my sincerity, God begins to sweep these evils from my heart. With time and God’s guidance, the anger dissipates, and I am able control the anger by myself. We all need help to remove the ingrained evils in our minds, like the dusts that stain the surfaces. This is why we pray to God with our special prayer.
