What is the hardest thing for a human being to do? Some world say it is to apologize. But I would say it is to forgive someone. Why is forgiveness so difficult for human beings? To forgive someone requires one to recognize fault in oneself. This fault is our arrogance in judging others. Having arrogance leads to anger and condemnation, placing a future wall between the two people.

How many times in life have you thought you were right, and the other person was wrong?  But did we have all the information to make that judgment? Probably not, but we became judge, jury, and sentenced the person to banishment from further communication with us. We do not have access to everyone’s thoughts and past experiences to judge fairly. When we make judgment on others , its shows our arrogance. Disagreement with others are not vices, but when emotions of anger and grudge bearing emerge, then arrogance may be present in our minds. It is with this knowledge that we must try to build back the bridge with forgiveness.

As God forgives you, you may also want to forgive others that you think have done you wrong. To forgive someone does not free the other person from guilt or blame. But it may begin to free you from the anger and suffering that results from having arrogance. By removing arrogance, your mind becomes pure, and your future becomes joyous. Forgiveness is the beginning of the Joyous world!  Pray and ask God to give you  the heart to forgive others.
