In Galatians 6:7, Apostle Paul writes:

Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.

Could Paul be talking about Cause and effect? Bad thoughts and actions result in future sufferings. But one could argue that Paul is talking about the afterlife of purgatory also. I would wager that most Christian would believe in the latter theory.

In the Tip of the Writing Brush is written:

Whatever may happen, bear no grudge,

it is what each of you has done to yourself. 17-60

Again we are talking about the natural law of cause and effect. Some may also call this God’s law of cause and effect, a self-regulatory mechanism of cleansing the soul.

Whether you believe in heaven or heaven on earth, we are ultimately held responsible for our actions and thoughts.
