Nature plays a large role in religion. The ancient Greeks had named Gods representing nature. The Aztecs prayed to the Sun God. These people knew the importance of nature in sustaining their lives. In the Bible, the great flood eliminated all of the creatures except Noah and the Arch. In prophecies, fires, earthquakes, and floods predict the end of the world.
In the Tip of the Writing Brush, in chapter 6, God reveals that he is Tsukihi or Moon/Sun in emphasizing his control over the Universe. It is in this same chapter, the following verse is written:
In this world, landslides, thunder, earthquakes and great winds are all from the anger of Moon/Sun (God). 6-90
What are you thinking on hearing this talk? Flames of heaven, rains of fire, and tidal waves in the sea. 6-116
Is it coincidence that God reveals that he is Moon/Sun? Scientists are aware that the sun and the moon influence the world’s climate. Can God’s anger create these devastating weather or geological changes by using the moon and the sun?
Can we as a civilization use the climatic changes to monitor the spiritual maturity of human beings?
