In every religion, there is a reference to God’s truth. Some seek it hoping to find it in ancient religious books, and some have tried to find it searching the world (Buddha). And of course, there are some that say that they have found it already.
In the Tip of the Writing Brush (Ofudesaki), there are many references to causality or the law of cause and effect. Good thoughts and actions bring forth joy, and evil (greed, arrogance, and self love) thoughts bring forth future sufferings. Could God’s truth be the Law of Cause and effect? There is a cause for every thing that happens to us. Like the law of gravity, it is self-regulated. Could this be the secret of life?
In the Tip of the Writing Brush, to seek the Origin is advised to understand God’s truth. But what is this origin? It is the origin of mankind. We must seek the cause of the origin of mankind (cause and effect). In the Tip of the Writing Brush, it is stated that mankind was created by God to live the joyous life. This is the “original cause” that began the world. The secret to life is that mankind was created to live a joyous life with everyone helping each other. This is the original cause of the law of cause and effect.
