Sometimes I wonder why there are not so many people that view my website, and become interested in religion. I attempt to write interesting blogs to attract potential viewers that may help propagate the teachings; yet progress appears to be very slow. In the Osashizu, there is a quote concerning a coming anniversary. It states that the promised time has not yet appeared despite the dedication of the followers. Why has not the promised time come?
Many times we think that we can help people see the truth of our religion. We believe the truth will set them free. But people have a difficulty in understanding the truth. We need God’s help. In the Tip of the Writing Brush is the following:
Since the path now is covered with dust, take up God, and do the sweeping. 3-145
There after, the path will be wide and without dust. Take along with you as many others as you wish. 3-146
We need God’s help in bringing in people to religion. Also the following from the Tip of the Writing Brush:
This Prayer, from where do you think they will come from?
From the high places they will come spiritedly. 2-4
Prayer will bring people to religion. But what is this prayer that God is talking about? I believe that the prayer is the Joyous Service. This is the simple service asking God to sweep away the evils (greed, arrogance, and self love) in our hearts.
But unfortunately in religion, more emphasis is placed on ceremonies and rituals of the past. I believe that this is why God’s truth has not spread like God has promised in our sacred books. It is God who will bring understanding to the people. We need to pray daily!
