In theTip of the Writing Brush, God refers to those who have the teachings as Nihon, and those who do not have the teachings as Kara. But he often tells us that we all do not understand. What is it that we do not understand?
Our religion is special in that God has given us something very important.
About the service, first the hand dance, then the Kagura.
Thus, I have opened a narrow path. 4-74
God has given us the Joyous Service (hand dance) that no religion has. God also refers to this service as a fertilizer.
Truly let the mind be spirited and ponder.
Lean on God and perform the joyous service. 4-49
Do not wonder what this talk is about.
It is solely about the matter of the fertilizer. 4-50
This service asks God to save all mankind. But for this service (fertilizer) to be effective, the people that have the teachings must have true sincerity (pure heart)
This fertilizer, do not wonder what makes it effective.
True sincerity of the mind is what makes it effective. 4-51
When God accepts the sincerity of the prayers, God will bring upon salvation of the world as requested by this special prayer. But it is said that weeds have obstructed the path.
But weeds have gradually grown thick and the path is obscure.
Quickly, the preparation to put back the main path. 4-74
These weeds are the dusts of greed, arrogance, and self-love in the minds of the people that have the teachings. It is also our prayer that we do not understand. We do not know what we are asking God to do.
It is not surprising that our religion has not grown very much since the explosive growth of the late nineteen-century. People in our church are more concerned about the perfection of the ceremony and the outer appearance, than in the meaning and purpose of our special prayer.
We must use this special prayer to bring people into our faith, while weeding within our church to make the fertilizer effective! When this happens, there will be another explosive growth in our church membership, and eventually the salvation of the world.
What do you think this salvation is?
It is to be free from illness, death, and weakening. 17-53
