God’s Library

Reincarnation and causality are difficult concepts to understand. Our lives are like a book. Each chapter is one lifetime. If one were able to read a random chapter, one would have a difficult time understanding what is happening. Like a chapter in a book, we only understand what is happening in our present life. In a book, a theme connects the chapters together. Sometimes an action or an event awaits a response. Many times the response or effect occurs in later chapters, arousing the reader’s suspense. Causality is what connects each lifetime. Good actions and thoughts result in joy; and evil (greed, arrogance, and self love) thoughts and behavior results in suffering in the future. Many times like in a book, the effect of our actions does not occur until a later lifetime.

In God’s library his books end up with happy endings, where all mankind will live a joyous life; but there is much suffering in the world now. The world does not understand causality and reincarnation. How does the world begin to understand causality?

God is said to have given us a special prayer (Joyous Service) that would help mankind understand causality. The effects of our actions will be seen immediately or in our lifetime. It is like a book, where the response to an action occurs in the same chapter. We will begin to understand causality, and how our reaction to it will bring upon joy or suffering.
