The following verse is from the Ofudesaki written in Japanese.
Kono koto wa tare demo shiranu koto ya kara
Mune ga wakaran Tsukihi zannen 7-44
The first translation is the traditional translation by Tenrikyo Headquarters and the 2nd translation is word for word.
No one knows of this matter. Therefore no one
Understands My(God’s) heart. Oh, the regret of Tsukihi
This matter no one knows of this because
the soul/heart is not understood, the regret of God.
There again is a big difference in meaning between God’s heart and heart (soul). The meaning of the verse changes completely.
* By using the second translation, God is telling us that we must understand the soul/heart to purify our minds; only with a purify mind will our prayers be accepted by God.
* opinion
