Concerning the truth that God compares our mind’s with Oyasama’s mind, God is telling us that we must attain true sincerity of the mind, like Oyasama’s mind. Attaining true sincerity is a mind without regret, covetousness, self-love, greed, and arrogance. We must have this mind before our prayers are accepted by God.
OFUDESAKI 7-101
I believe that God compares our minds to the mind of Oyasama when we perform the Joyous Service. This is why, when finding the location of the Kanrodai, the early followers who had a pure mind stopped at the specific location. I believe that this hold true today, Where God compares our minds to the mind of Oyasama when we pray toward the Kanrodai.

OFUDESAKI 7-100
God is preparing everyone for the Service. By just performing the Service, God will not accept our prayer. We must first understand the heart to purify our own minds. Then we must spread this truth of the heart to others. When all of this is done, God tells us to perform the Joyous Service. This will then bring upon God’s salvation.
OFUDESAKI 7-99
The Joyous Service is our prayer, asking God to help save others. Salvation depends on having a pure mind. God will begin to help others purify their minds.
OFUDESAKI 7-98
God has told us that illness, like smallpox should not exist in this world. God also tells us illness originates from the mind. If we can remove dusts from our minds, we can eliminate illness. God has descended from heaven to teach us how to do this. God has given us the Joyous Service to save the world from illness and suffering. By this Service, we are asking God to help others sweep dusts from their minds.

OFUDESAKI 7-97
What is the purpose of the Service? This is what God is asking. The purpose of the Service, is to ask God to help others understand God’s teachings, especially about the mune or heart. By God saving people from smallpox, and from childbirth, God is showing these people what our hearts naturally do, when they have a pure mind.

OFUDESAKI 7-96
From the previous verse, when we sweep our minds of our dusts, we will become spirited. When we get to this stage, God tells us to perform the Joyous Service.
The Mirror
I am always surprised at what information I find when I continue to study our sacred scriptures, both the Ofudesaki and Mikagura-uta. In todays post on the Mikagura-uta Study Group on Facebook, I was surprised to find how different my translation, and the translation of church headquarters are. The following is song 6 in Japanese:
Mina sekai no mune no uchi
Kagami no gotokuni utsuru nari
The following English translation comes from song 6 of the church headquarters.
The innermost hearts of all in the world,
Are reflected to Me as in a mirror.
The next verse is my English translation, which is approximately word for word translation:
All the world’s innermost heart,
like a mirror, reflects what we have done.
I have included the definitions so you can check it out for your selves.
Definitions:
Mina: all
Mune: heart
Uchi: innermost
Kagami: mirror
Gotoku: like, similar
Utsuru: reflect
Nari: to bear fruit, (reap on what we have done)
In summary, this song is telling us that it is our own heart, by what fate it releases, is showing us, what we have done in our previous lives. We reap what we have sowed. It is this same heart that God tells us we do not understand in the first verse of the Ofudesaki:
Through all generations of the world, everyone looking at,
the understanding of the heart person, there is not. 1-1
This is what we have to understand to purify our own minds, and then spread this truth to the world. This is what will save the world. God gives us step-by-step instructions on how to do this in the Ofudesaki. Yes, this includes our Joyous Service!

OFUDESAKI 7-95
For the early followers, God through Oyasama taught the early followers how to perform the Joyous Service. To prepare for this Service, God is telling us to purify our minds by understanding what comes from our hearts or mune. Our fates comes from our hearts. When we ponder our fates (sufferings), and not act upon any evil thoughts or dusts in our minds, we can begin to purify our minds. A purified mind is required before God accepts our prayer (Joyous Service).
We Are Hypocrites
We are all hypocrites. This concerns most religions, but I will talk about my religion. In Tenrikyo, God specifically tells us that illness comes from the mind. The following is from the Ofudesaki and the Mikagura-uta.
Whatever happens, what is called illness furthermore is unacceptable.
Mistaken minds’ path exists. 3-95 Ofudesaki
Until this time, everyone,
the origin of illness you did not know.
This time it has been revealed.
The origin of illness is from your mind. Song 10 Mikagura-uta
God is telling us that illness originates from our minds. In the Ofudesaki, God tells us that dusts or evil thoughts in our minds lead to illness and sufferings to the body. These dusts are regret (oshii), covetousness (hoshii), self-love (kawai), greed (yoku), and arrogance (koman).
If we take the Ofudesaki and the Mikagura-uta as the truth, then we have the cure for cancer, and we have the cure for the recent Covid pandemic. We need to eliminate these dusts from our minds. Why as believers are we putting on masks, shutting down our churches, and receiving the controversial Covid vaccines? God tells us to purify our minds of the evil thoughts or dusts that are in our minds. God even gives us instructions on how to purify our minds in the Ofudesaki and Mikagura-uta.
I can give you many reasons why we are not following what are written in our sacred scriptures. We do not understand our scriptures or have not read them ourselves. We do not have complete faith in our teachings. We are afraid of what people will do or say if we do not follow masking or vaccinations. We are afraid that we have not purified our minds sufficiently to fight off the virus. I like many may fall into the last category.
In conclusion, these pandemics give us the opportunity to reveal our religion. There is a quote in one of the sacred scriptures that tell us “from knots, buds will sprout”. From this horrible tragedy that has taken millions of lives, there was an opportunity to tell the world about our teachings. We could of brought attention to our religion by not complying with what officials were telling us to do. This probably would of resulted in threats and condemnations from the world against our religion; but definitely this would of brought attention to our religion. Remember from knots or difficulties, there are buds that will sprout, if we follow the teachings. I believe we missed another opportunity to save the world!
