Law of Cause and Effect

Some say that the law of “cause and effect” gives one nothing to look forward to in the future, especially if one has been evil. The law of cause and effect state that good thoughts bring forth joy, and evil thoughts and actions bring forth suffering in the future.  But contrary to this belief of doom and gloom, this law gives a person hope in the future. It is true that one must reap what he or she has sown; but if one thinks or acts well now, one has planted a seed that will sprout joy in the future.

It is with this law that even the most evil person on this earth can become good in the far out future. One only has to remove greed and arrogance from the mind. When this happens one is assured of joy from this action.

In summary, this law of cause and effect gives everyone the opportunity to have a joyous future.

God’s Miracles

In the Tip of the Writing Brush, God tells us to look forward to the miracles. These miracles are not usually the healing of crippled, the cure of cancer, or the division of the Red Sea.  They are the placement of illness or disorders on our bodies? God tells us to look for these miracles.

These miracles (disorders) represent our evil (greed, arrogance, and self love) thoughts. God is showing us our minds with these disorders.  Look for these miracles in the future.

The next time, you have a headache, stomach pains, illness, or disease; they may be God’s miracle. God may be showing you your way of thinking.  If you ponder, and remove arrogance and greed from your minds, the illness may disappear.

These miracles are the shortening of the time lapse between cause and effect. The law of cause and effect state that good thoughts bring forth joy, and evil thoughts and actions bring forth suffering in the future. Even in the Bible from Galatians 6:7-9 says:

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

We are responsible for our own sufferings. God’s miracles shorten the time lapse between cause and effect. This allows us to understand the relationship between our thoughts and our future. Hopefully when we understand this concept, we can easily remove greed and arrogance from our minds.

Tell people not of the coming of the end of the world, but tell people of God’s impending miracles. Look and pray for God’s miracles!

Heaven on Earth?

There are many who believe in heaven and there are some who believe in heaven on earth. The following is from the Tip of the Writing Brush:

Step by step, I am solely making preparations to save the whole world. 4-36

After that, you may stay as long as you wish, without illness, death, or weakening. 4-37

Further, after the passage of long years, there will be no aging at all. 4-38

This is paradise on earth. According to the sacred book, there is a prerequisite for this paradise on earth. All mankind must sweep evils (greed, arrogance, and self love) from their minds. If you think about it, who would want to live forever if these conditions were not met?

How to be Spirited

What does it mean to be spirited? Webster defines spirited as full of energy, animation, or courage. To be spirited is a good thing. Through out history, people have tried to capture this mind set by meditation, yoga, and drugs.

From a human perspective, there are days that we are spirited and full of energy, and also there are days that we are depressed and lack energy. This may be explained by physiology and psychology. Pharmaceutical companies and psychiatric make millions of dollars annually trying to make people spirited.

For me, sometimes a cup of coffee will get me in a spirited state where everything is all right with the world. The worries and stresses are for the moment gone, and the future appears bright. If only this state will last forever.

In religion, being spirited may involve the entrance of the Holy Spirit, which transforms the person into a Christian. In the Tip of the Writing Brush, a spirited mind is a mind that has reached a high spiritual maturation almost equivalent to God’s mind. This mind is void of evil (greed, arrogance, and self love), and is spirited in any situations (good or bad).

But how do we reach this idealistic state of being spirited?  Maybe when we stop pursuing our own selfish goals, can we become spirited without effort? Sweep greed and arrogance from your minds to attain this spirited state?

How much insurance do we need?

In today’s world we desperately attempt to prevent ourselves from discomfort. We try to accumulate as much money as we can, believing that money can buy us happiness. We buy auto, health and life insurance, to protect us from financial sufferings. We install cameras and house alarms to protect us from crime. We can’t wait for our pensions or social security to kick in, so we don’t have to worry about the financial burdens of daily life. How many of us plan our futures depending on how much capital we have? We sometimes think that wealth or material possessions can prevent or lessen sufferings.

Money and wealth can sometimes distract and give us a detour from the challenges and the important things in life. Instead of self reflection, how about taking a vacation, or buying that sports car?  Money buys drugs, and expensive toys that distract us from our worries and personal relationships. It also can lead to a path of more suffering as seen in the suicides of the rich and famous and their dependents.

Many times, it is when tragedies occur, when we realize that money and wealth are not the most important in our lives.  Money cannot prevent cancer, or illnesses. Money cannot prevent an unhappy spouse and divorce. Money cannot prevent that emptiness in your heart.  Money cannot replace God.

It is this delusion of money giving us happiness that we must erase; and replace it with a faith in God. It is with the belief that if you help others, and have good thoughts that God will embrace you, and care  for you forever. This is God’s insurance.

What are the consequences of sin?

What are the consequences of sin? In the Bible the consequences are sufferings, and even death. There are passages in the Bible where God directly and indirectly punishes people who had sinned.

But does God cause this suffering, or do we bring it upon ourselves? Most societies imprison or punish the evil by the judicial system. Others let religious laws determine the fate of those committing sin.

Some believe in causality, or the law of cause and effect. Good thoughts bring forth joy, and evil thoughts and actions lead to future sufferings. In this system, it is a self-regulatory process of removing evils (greed, arrogance, and self love) from our minds. Some say that this is God’s law.

In summary, whether or not one believes in causality, most religions believe that sin should be punished. This is in essence a belief in cause and effect. Whether, it is regulated by God, man, or self regulated, the results are the same, someone suffers.

But what is the purpose for man to suffer on this earth?

Causality

In Galatians 6:7, Apostle Paul writes:

Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.

Could Paul be talking about Cause and effect? Bad thoughts and actions result in future sufferings. But one could argue that Paul is talking about the afterlife of purgatory also. I would wager that most Christian would believe in the latter theory.

In the Tip of the Writing Brush is written:

Whatever may happen, bear no grudge,

it is what each of you has done to yourself. 17-60

Again we are talking about the natural law of cause and effect. Some may also call this God’s law of cause and effect, a self-regulatory mechanism of cleansing the soul.

Whether you believe in heaven or heaven on earth, we are ultimately held responsible for our actions and thoughts.

Is Evil a learned trait?

Is evil a learned trait? In the Tip of the Writing Brush, it is said that no man is essentially evil.

Looking all over the world and through all ages,

I find no one who is evil. 1-52

Among all mankind, there is no one who is evil.

It is only a bit of dust stuck on.  1-53

Looking at events that occur in the world, it would be difficult for some to believe this. But what is this dust that we pick up and accumulate? In the Tip of the Writing Brush, it is said to be greed, arrogance, and self-love.

Is it possible that the human soul is pure, and we become evil due to the learning process? Do we learn from our environment?  Some children grow up in environments that are infested with drugs and corruption. Our entertainment media promote greed, sex, and the fast life. Some religions are intolerant to other beliefs, and promote violence.

For those who want to change, how do we find our pure soul? How do we help an evil person to find his or her innermost heart?  They must learn to unlearn the evils that have permeated their minds.  Would it be possible for the most evil person to find his or her innermost heart? Could this evil person find salvation? What does your religion say?

Joyous Acceptance

Sometimes events happen in our lives that are difficult to accept. For those who cling on to faith, it may be more difficult.  One may question and go through all the possibilities, but there are no clear answers to why an event occurs. Life may have seemed so simple, but now it seems so difficult.

In the Osashizu is a quote:

Joyously accepting a situation that is hard to accept is sincerity.  October 8, 1897

The knowledge that we cannot change many of the events that occur in our lives is difficult to acknowledge. But we must have faith in a God by accepting these negative events in our lives, and going forward in a positive way.  I believe that God accepts this positive attitude, and converts it into joy in the future.

Pope”s Message/2

In religion, people tend to become so confident of their teachings that they become intolerant of others that do not believe. They forget the essence of their teachings, and make religion like an exclusive club. They forget that there is a “goodness” in everyone. The following is an article from MSN news concerning the new Pope’s message.

“They complain,” the Pope said in his homily, because they say, “If he is not one of us, he cannot do good. If he is not of our party, he cannot do good.” And Jesus corrects them: “Do not hinder him, he says, let him do good.” The disciples, Pope Francis explains, “were a little intolerant,” closed off by the idea of possessing the truth, convinced that “those who do not have the truth, cannot do good.” “This was wrong . . . Jesus broadens the horizon.” Pope Francis said, “The root of this possibility of doing good – that we all have – is in creation”

The last part of what the Pope has said is similar to what is written in the Tip of the Writing Brush. It is written that mankind was created to live a joyous life. This is why we need to go back to the “Origin”, to find out why mankind was created. The answer lies in the innermost heart of every individual. It is the pure heart (soul), which was meant to do good.

But it is this pure heart that has been contaminated by evil (greed, arrogance, and self love) thoughts. It is only when we eliminate these evils, can we uncover our pure hearts and do good . This is what I believe the Pope wants you to take from his message.
