SUMMARY OF THE OFUDESAKI

God descended from heaven to save the world and gave us these instructions.

  1. Understand your own soul (tamashii/mune).
  2. purify your own mind by understanding the soul (tamashii).
  3. spread the teaching of the soul and pure mind, and God’s guidance to others.
  4. Perform the Youki-tsutome asking God to save the people you have spread the truth to. God will place illness as guidance to help them understand their own soul.
  5. Perform the Osazuke to the people who understand God’s guidance who come to you to be saved. Also to continue to teach them about the soul to purify their own mind. This is how the teachings are spread to the world.

RESULT:

TO YOU, ONLY JOY AND HEALTH TO COME FROM ONE’S OWN SOUL.

WITH THE SPREADING OF GOD’S TRUTH, PEACE AND HAPPINESS IN THE WORLD

CONCLUSION:

IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE TENRIKYO RELIGION TO SPREAD HEAVEN’S TRUTH (TENRI) TO THE WORLD. THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE ALL IN THE OFUDESAKI.

神は世界を救うために天から降り、私たちに次のような指示を与えた。

1. 自分の魂（たましい・むね）を理解せよ。
2.魂（たましい）を理解し、自分の kokoro (mind) を清めなさい。
3.魂と純粋な kokoro (mind) 、そして神の導きの教えを他の人々に広める。
4. あなたが真理を広めた人々を救うよう、神様にお願いする「Youki-tsutome」を行う。神様は、自分の魂を理解するための導きとして病気を置いてくださる。
5. もし彼らが神の導きを理解し、病気から救われたいとあなたのところに来たら、彼らに Osazuke を施しなさい。また、自分の kokoro (mind) を清めるために、魂について教え続けなさい。こうして教えは世界に広まっていくのだ。
 

結果：

あなたにとって、喜びと健康だけが自分の魂からもたらされる。
神の真理を広めることで、世界に平和と幸福がもたらされる。
 

結論

天の理（Tenri）を世界に広めることは、天理教の責任である。その指示はすべておふでさきにある。

Summary of the Ofudesaki (Summary of how God will save the World)

God descended from heaven to save the world and gave us these instructions.

  1. Understand your own soul (tamashii/mune)
  2. purify your own mind by understanding the soul (tamashii).
  3. spread the teaching of the soul and pure mind, and God’s guidance to others.
  4. Perform the Youki-tsutome asking God to save others.
  5. God if accepts our prayer places illness as guidance to the people we have spread the teachings.
  6. These people if they understand God’s guidance comes to our places of worship to be healed.
  7. We perform the Osazuke to heal them and teach them about the soul, and pure mind.
  8. They understand their own soul and purify their minds.
  9. They understand that when the mind is purified, only health and happiness comes from one’s own soul
  10. This is how we spread the teachings to the world.

Is our current religion following these steps?  Remember these instructions are all in the Ofudesaki. God only wants us to spread the teachings of the soul and pure mind. When the world understands the teachings, there will only be peace and prosperity for all.

神は世界を救うために天から降り、私たちに次のような指示を与えた。

We reap what we have sowed because of the soul

What information if we understand will change the world? In the first verse of the Ofudesaki, God tells us we do not understand our own souls (mune). It is our own soul that monitors our behavior and brings upon suffering or joy depending on our actions. The effects of our actions usually does not occur immediately, and can occur in our next lifetime. Time is the barrier that obscures the cause and effect. This is why people think they can get away with any negative actions. Also  It is not God  that rewards or punishes us, therefore asking forgiveness at the end does not work.  We reap what we have sowed because of our own soul. If this information  of the soul is understood, people will understand why suffering and joy occur in the world.
It is our own soul that leaves our bodies when our physical bodies stop functioning. Some people believe it goes to heaven, while others believe it will eventually return back to earth to start a new life. This is why we live for eternity. When our physical bodies die, what does the soul take with it. Our memories are erased. But the soul takes the fates we have created, and their associated negative thoughts that were acted upon to the next life. Death does not give us a fresh start in the next life. This is why suffering or joy appears in our lives.
Again if the world would understand the soul, people will think twice before they act on their negative thoughts. Therefore suffering in this world would decrease, with only joy and health coming from one’s own soul.
 
理解すれば世界が変わる情報とは？おふでさきの最初の節で、神は私たちが自分の魂（ムネ）を理解していないと教えている。私たちの行動を監視し、私たちの行動次第で苦しみや喜びをもたらすのは、私たち自身の魂である。私たちの行いの影響は通常、すぐには起こらず、次の世で起こることもある。時間が障壁となり、原因と結果が見えにくくなっているのだ。そのため、人はどんな否定的な行為からも逃れられると考えるのだ。また、私たちに報酬を与えたり罰を与えたりするのは神ではないので、最後に許しを請うのはうまくいかない。 私たちは自分自身の魂のために蒔いた種を刈り取るのだ。この魂の情報が理解されれば、なぜこの世で苦しみや喜びが起こるのかが理解できるだろう。
肉体が機能しなくなったときに肉体を離れるのは、私たち自身の魂である。魂は天国に行くと信じる人もいれば、いずれ地上に戻って新しい人生を始めると信じる人もいる。これが、私たちが永遠に生きる理由なのだ。私たちの肉体が死んだとき、魂は何を持っていくのか。私たちの記憶は消去される。しかし魂は、私たちが作り出した運命と、それに関連して行動した否定的な思考を次の人生へと持っていく。死によって来世で新たなスタートを切ることはできない。これが、私たちの人生に苦しみや喜びが現れる理由である。
もし世界が魂について理解すれば、人々は否定的な考えで行動する前にもう一度考えるだろう。したがって、この世の苦しみは減り、自分の魂から喜びと健康がもたらされるだけだ。

The Pure Mind brings upon Happiness

純粋な kokoro (mind)の強さを疑う人は、おふでさきの次の聖句を読んでください。

For those who question the strength of the pure mind, please read the following from the Ofudesaki.

 
shinjitsu no kokoro shidai no kono tasuke
Yamazu shinazu ni yowari naki you.  3-99
 
Of the pure mind, the mind is dependent on. This salvation,
to not fall ill, to not die, and not weaken are the benefits.  3-99
 
Shinjitsu no kokoro shidai ni izukata mo
ikana shugou mo sen to yuwan de.  4-95
 
The pure mind’s, mind dependent on, to who it is present also,
what kind of protection also, deny I will not say.   4-95
 
shiyan seyo wakai toshiyori yowaki demo
kokoro shidai ni ikana juuyou.  4-132
 
Ponder to do, young and old, or weak however,
the mind is dependent on, any kind of blessings.    4-132
 
korekara wa ikana mutsukashi yamai demo
kokoro shidai ni anorna de nashi. 5-13
 
From now on, what kind of difficult, illness however,
the mind dependent on, incurable it is not.   5-13
 
Dono youna koto ga aritemo shinjitsu no
kokoro shidai ni kowai koto nashi. 14-49
 
What kind of, occurrences exist, the pure mind’s,
mind depends on, fearful occurrences will not exist.  14-49
