Most Tenrikyo church leaders will tell us that we perform the Youki-tsutome asking God to sweep our own dusts away. But throughout the Ofudesaki, God tells us that this simple special prayer is a prayer to save others. The following is from the Ofudesaki:

(korekara wa)(kokoro shikkari)(irekaete)

(Kami ni motarde)(Youki-sutome o). 13-10

From now, the mind firmly, replacing (with pure mind) and,

to God holding and, the Youki-tsutome to (perform)

(shitaru nara)(sono mama suguni)(shikkari to)

(Rriyaku arawasu)(kore o mite kure). 13-11

Having done if so, that by itself quickly, and reliably,

blessing (of guidance) to reveal. This looking do it.

By this special prayer performed with a pure mind, God places illness as guidance to the people we have spread the teachings to. This is a prayer, with the Osazuke that helps others understand the teachings of the soul, pure mind, and God’s guidance. These two prayers help us spread the teachings to others.

For God’s teachings to spread to the word, we must first understand what God wants us to spread to the world. It is the truth of the soul, the pure mind, and God’s guidance that God wants us to spread to the world. By these two special services, God helps us spread the teachings to others.

For the world to have peace and prosperity, we in Tenrikyo must first purify our own minds by understanding what comes from our own souls. Then we must spread the teachings to the world, and then perform the Youki-tsutome, asking God to help us spread the  teachings to the world.

God’s teachings are simple, but as human beings we want to place our own ideas of what religion should be like, and place customs, ritual and ceremonies, that makes it difficult to find God’s truths to save oneself. When the mind is pure one is saved. Only heath and joy will appear from one’s own soul.

*also I notice that people have bought the Ofudesaki on Amazon. Please do not purchase the blue colored book. It was my first attempt to translate the Ofudesaki. It is not accurate. Please purchase the red colored book. Again this sacred scripture gives us the Instructions to purify our own minds, and also gives us the instructions to save others.

ほとんどの天理教の教会長は、私たちが自分自身のほこりを払い去ってくださるように神にお願いして、陽気勤めを行う、と私たちに言うでしょう。

しかし、おふでさき全体を通して、神は、この簡単な特別な祈りは、他の人々を救うための祈りである、と私たちに教えています。

おふでさきから次のようにあります。

「これからは　心しっかり　入れかえて
神にまかせて　陽気勤めを」　13-10

この特別な祈りを純粋な心で行うことによって、神は、私たちが教えを広めた人々に、導きとして病気を置かれます。

これは、他の人々が魂、純粋な心、そして神の導きの教えを理解することを助けるおさづけとともに行う祈りです。

この二つの祈りは、私たちが他の人々に教えを広めることを助けます。

神の教えが世界に広がるためには、私たちはまず、神が私たちに世界へ何を広めてほしいのかを理解しなければなりません。

それは、神が私たちに世界へ広めてほしい、魂、純粋な心、そして神の導きの真理です。

この二つの特別な勤めによって、神は私たちが他の人々に教えを広めることを助けてくださいます。

世界が平和と繁栄を持つためには、天理教の私たちはまず、自分自身の魂から何が来るのかを理解することによって、自分自身の心を浄化しなければなりません。

それから、私たちは教えを世界に広めなければなりません。そして、神に、私たちが教えを世界に広めることを助けてくださるようお願いして、陽気勤めを行わなければなりません。

神の教えは簡単ですが、人間として、私たちは宗教がどのようなものであるべきかについての自分自身の考えを置きたくなり、そして、自分自身を救うための神の真理を見つけることを難しくする習慣、儀式、そして式典を置きます。
