What is the truth that we must spread to the world? What truth will save the world from suffering. God wants us to understand our own soul. This is why God descended from heaven to save the world from sufferings. This is the purpose of our religion, Tenrikyo.
What is the soul? God tells us in the first verse of the most sacred scripture, the Ofudesaki that we do not understand our own soul. It is our own soul that monitors our behavior, and metes out suffering or joy depending on our behavior. It is not God that rewards or punishes us. We reap what we have sowed because of our own soul. It is our soul that collects the fates created by our actions on our positive and negative thoughts. The soul stores and eventually manifest these fates as joy or sufferings when the right opportunity arises. Many times the right opportunity will not arise until the next lifetime.
How do we spread the truth of the soul to the world? God gives us instructions in the Ofudesaki. But first we must save ourselves. How do we do this? What does it mean to be saved? God tells us that when our minds are purified of negative thoughts, one is saved. Only joy and health will appear from one’s own soul. God tells us that when suffering(karma) appears from one’s own soul, not to blame others or God. God tells us to ponder our own minds for negative thoughts associated with the sufferings, and not act upon them. When we do this, we can gradually eliminate our negative thoughts. This is how we purify our minds by understanding the fates that appear from our own souls.
When our minds are purified, we are ready to spread the teachings to others. But we are not alone to spread the teachings. God tells us that God will help us. God knows how difficult it is to convey the truth by words alone. This is why God has granted us two special prayer to help us. The first Youki-tsutome is a prayer asking God to save other who we have spread the teachings to. By the acceptance of this prayer, God places illness depending on the amount and type of negative thoughts in a person’s mind. These are the thoughts that they will act upon that will create their negative fates that their own soul collects, stores, and eventually manifest. God is showing these people their future if they do not remove their negative thoughts.
What happen to the people who receive God’s guidance. Some will understand God’s guidance, and come to our places of worship to heal their illness by the osazuke, and further be given instructions to purify their minds. These people are nihon that understand the teachings and also called youbouku or youki that God guides to purify their minds. Others will not understand God’s guidance, and God’s teachings. They will continue to act on their negative thoughts, resulting in their suffering.These people are kara, who we must continue to teach.
Some people may wonder what happens to the soul when our physical bodies stop functioning. God tells us that our soul leaves our bodies and ascends to heaven, containing our unmanifested fates, and their associated thoughts. The soul eventually descended back to earth to start a new life. Although our memories are erased, death does not give us a fresh start. This is why suffering or joy appears, and why each of us have different temperaments.
In summary if the world understood the soul, there will be peace and prosperity. It is the information of the soul, and the pure mind we must spread to the world. This is the purpose of our religion.
私たちが世界に広めなければならない真理とは何でしょうか。
世界を苦しみから救う真理とは何でしょうか。
神は、私たちに自分自身の魂を理解してほしいと望んでおられます。
これが、神が世界を苦しみから救うために天から降りてこられた理由です。
これが、私たちの宗教、天理教の目的です。
魂とは何でしょうか。
神は、最も神聖な聖典である『おふでさき』の第一番の歌で、私たちは自分自身の魂を理解していないと教えておられます。
私たちの行動を見守っているのは、私たち自身の魂です。
そして、私たちの行動に応じて、苦しみ、または喜びを与えます。
私たちに報いを与えたり罰を与えたりするのは神ではありません。
私たちは、自分自身の魂によって、私たちが蒔いたものを刈り取るのです。
私たちの行動によって、私たちの肯定的な考えや否定的な考えの上に作られた因縁を集めるのは、私たちの魂です。
魂はこれらの因縁を蓄え、そして、正しい機会が生じたときに、最終的にそれらを喜びや苦しみとして現します。
多くの場合、その正しい機会は次の人生になるまで生じません。
では、どのようにして魂の真理を世界に広めるのでしょうか。
神は『おふでさき』の中で私たちに指示を与えておられます。
しかし、まず私たちは自分自身を救わなければなりません。
私たちはどのように自分自身を救うのでしょうか。
救われるとはどういう意味でしょうか。
神は、私たちの心から否定的な考えが清められたとき、人は救われると教えておられます。
自分自身の魂から現れるのは、喜びと健康だけになります。
神は、自分自身の魂から苦しみ（因縁）が現れたとき、他人や神を責めてはいけないと教えておられます。
神は、苦しみに関連する否定的な考えについて、自分自身の心をよく考え、その考えに基づいて行動しないように教えておられます。
これを行うと、私たちは徐々に自分の否定的な考えを取り除くことができます。
これが、自分自身の魂から現れる因縁を理解することによって、私たちの心を清める方法です。
私たちの心が清められたとき、私たちは他の人々に教えを広める準備ができています。
しかし、私たちは一人で教えを広めるのではありません。
神は、神が私たちを助けてくださると教えておられます。
神は、言葉だけで真理を伝えることがどれほど難しいかをご存じです。
これが、神が私たちを助けるために、二つの特別な祈りを与えてくださった理由です。
最初の祈りである「陽気づとめ（ようきづとめ）」は、私たちが教えを広めた他の人々を神に救っていただくようお願いする祈りです。
この祈りが受け入れられることによって、神は、その人の心の中にある否定的な考えの量と種類に応じて、病気を置かれます。
これらは、その人が行動に移そうとしている考えであり、それによって、その人自身の魂が集め、蓄え、そして最終的に現す否定的な因縁を作ることになります。
神は、否定的な考えを取り除かなければ、その人たちの未来がどうなるのかを示しておられるのです。
では、神の導きを受けた人々には何が起こるのでしょうか。
ある人々は神の導きを理解し、私たちの礼拝の場所へ来て、おさづけによって神の導きである病気を治していただき、さらに心を清めるための指示を与えられます。
これらの人々は、教えを理解する「日本（にほん）」であり、また「ようぼく」や、神が心を清めるよう導かれる「陽気（ようき）」とも呼ばれます。
他の人々は神の導きと神の教えを理解しません。
彼らは否定的な考えに基づいて行動し続け、その結果、苦しみを受けることになります。
これらの人々は「から」であり、私たちが教え続けなければならない人々です。
私たちの肉体が機能することを止めたとき、魂に何が起こるのかと疑問に思う人もいるでしょう。
神は、私たちの魂は身体から離れ、まだ現れていない因縁と、それに関連する考えを含んだまま、天へ昇ると教えておられます。
魂は最終的に新しい人生を始めるために、再び地上へ降りてきます。
私たちの記憶は消されますが、死は私たちに新しい出発を与えるものではありません。
これが、苦しみや喜びが現れる理由であり、また、私たち一人ひとりが異なる気質を持っている理由です。
要約すると、もし世界が魂を理解すれば、平和と繁栄があるでしょう。
私たちが世界に広めなければならないのは、魂の情報と純粋な心です。
これが、私たちの宗教の目的です。
