Then, what is the actual translation of “shinjitsu”?

I sincerely believe that “shinjitsu” is a pure mind that does not have the five negative thoughts of regret (oshii), covetousness/greed (hoshii), self-love (kawaii), greed/desire (yoku), and arrogance (kouman). If you place the words “pure mind” where “shinjitsu” appears, the Ofudesaki verses will make more sense. It is the pure mind that was placed in the first couple (Izanagi and Izanami) who began the world. It is this pure mind that God wants us to attain. When we attain the pure mind, we are saved. As God intended when creating human beings, only health and happiness will appear from one’s own soul.
