Get rid of gas for a joyous life

Get rid of gas for a joyous life

For those who have been following my blogs, you must realize by now that I have been interpreting our sacred book. Trying to summarize the book in a few words or sentences would be an injustice. But for those who are limited in time and peruse many of the blogs for interesting topics, I will summarize the book;  “avoid GAS

The G stands for greed, the A represents arrogance, and the S stands for self-love. If we can avoid these three evils, God guarantees a joyous future whether you believe in heaven or reincarnation. This message appears simple, but avoiding these evils may be difficult without God’s help. For those who need this help, please continue to read the Tip of the Writing Brush, and my blogs in the future.  I thank you for my opportunity to spread the fragrance of our teachings.

The aah haa moment

We sometimes have that aah haa moment when  we realize what has happened. This could be an understanding of a solution to a calculus problem, or a sudden enlightenment of an amusing joke.  In our religion, God promises this kind of moment when we understand God’s guidance; perhaps like a light turning on in our minds, indicating our understanding of God’s intentions.

Though until now no one has known

the truth of the human mind. 15-19

Now today, whoever you may be,

I shall clearly reveal your true innermost heart. 15-20

If only it is revealed entirely,

the sweeping of the heart will be accomplished of itself. 15-21

Verse 15-19 states that we do not understand that greed, arrogance, and self-love in our minds cause future sufferings in our lives (heaven or future lives/karma/causality).

Verse 15-20 states that God will begin to guide us by showing us our future. By this process, God will begin to place disease, illness, or health on our bodies depending on how we are using our minds today.

Verse 15-21 states that when we associate our disorders with the use of our minds, we will begin to eliminate these evils (greed, arrogance, and self love) by ourselves, possibly without God’s future guidance.

In summary, the sufferings in the world has not been associated with the way we use our minds. God gives us a future glimpse of our future (heaven or future lives) by placing illness, disease, or health on our bodies appropriate to how we are using our minds today. When we realize that these illness or disorders are God’s guidance, we can begin to sweep these evils (greed, arrogance, and self love) from our hearts by ourselves.  If this realization of the association between the mind and suffering occur, we may not need God’s guidance in the future to sweep away our evils; we may be able to sweep these evils by ourselves. When greed, arrogance, and self-love disappear from our minds, only joy will occur in the future.

Do you have enough faith to talk about religion?

If you had God’s Truth what would you do?  First of all, we are not always one hundred percent confident that we have the truth. This may be where faith comes in.  Faith also wanes depending on events that occur in our lives. These events may support and increase our faith, or sometimes do the opposite.  But would your faith in this truth, allow you to talk to your neighbors, friends, co-workers or family about God’s truth? Would you be hesitant to go forth?  The following is from our most sacred book.

From tomorrow on, the Parent will go forth a step ahead of you

and give a return for every matter. 14-64

Today, you must explain my talks to others

in detail step by step. The time has at last come. 14-65

There will be no understanding about anything

unless you tell them. Tell them everything all in detail. 14-66

Perhaps you do not know what this talk is about.

Tell them all about the workings of the Parent. 14-67

Perhaps you do not know what my workings are.

I shall make all minds in the world be revealed. 14-68

To explain how they are to be revealed,

each of you will speak it by your own mouth. 14-69

Verse 14-64 states that God will begin to sweep away the evils (greed, arrogance, and self love) from our hearts (guidance).

Verse 14-65 to 14-67 states that we must tell people about God’s guidance. If they do not understand, they will not understand or recognize the guidance when it occurs.

Verse 14-68 confirms that God sees how we are using our minds (greed, arrogance, self love, or good), and guides us by placing illness, disease, or health on our bodies dependent on how we are using our minds today.

Verse 14-69 reinforces the importance of spreading God’s truth to the world, especially in person.

Sometimes faith would allow you to accomplish things that are not possible. It also allow you to do things which you normally would be afraid to do, like telling people about your religious beliefs. But caution should be advised in the direction faith may lead to. Blind faith, or faith without relevance to the world may lead you in circles.  True faith energizes you, because one sees the goodness and joy in the truth.  We want to share this joy with others. It is this truth of God’s guidance that we must spread to the world.

Weeds that Hinder Our Path

Weeds that Hinder Our Path

Usually a path leads to a destination, goal, or a place. For example, a path on a trail may lead a hiker from one place to another. If one was lost in the woods, finding a path on a trail may be a favorable sign. There are paths to careers, paths to financial success, paths to spirituality, etc.  There are thousands of books that guarantee results when you follow their particular path. But suppose there was a path to a joyous life?

In our religion, God has given us a path to a joyous life. The path begins with a special prayer requesting God to sweep away the evils (greed, arrogance, and self love) in our hearts. If the world follows this path, there will be peace forever. But this path is not clearly visible today and evils like greed, arrogance, and self-love continue to flourish.

But weeds have gradually grown thick and the path is obscure.

Quickly, the preparation to put back the main path. 4-75

Verse 4-75 states that greed, arrogance, and self love continues to flourish preventing the path to the joyous life. How do we prepare to open the path to joyous life?

Day after day, hasten with a spirited mind.

If only the main path be quickly opened. 4-76

Verse 4-75 states that we must have a spirited mind. A spirited mind believes from the innermost heart that mankind was created to live a joyous life. When we pray with this spirited mind, God will begin to sweep these evils from our minds. With the elimination of these evils (weeds), the joyous life becomes possible. As more people come onto this path, like the trail in the woods, the weeds that hinder the path become less, and the path becomes distinct and more visible to the world. We must firmly believe that God created mankind to live a joyous life with everyone helping each other. We must also tell as many people of this special path. Like the trail in the woods, the more people that take this path, the more self-apparent and visible the path becomes.

Tip of the Writing Brush 13

There are many people who believe that they are superior than others because they are wealthier, have a better occupation, have a better education, have political office, have a better religion, or feel that their race is more superior. The following verses are from our sacred book.

All of you throughout the world are brothers and sisters.

There should be no one called an outsider. 13-43

That there is no one who knows the origin.

That is the reason for God’s regret. 13-44

Those living in the high mountains and those living in

the low valleys, their souls are all the same. 13-45

Verse 13-43 states that everyone is equal as a child of God.

Verse 13-44 states that God is sad that we do not know why mankind was created.  God created mankind in order to live a joyous life.

Verse 13-45 states that the souls of the rich and poor are equal.

Verse 13-46 states that because we do not know this, we humans think that there is some sort of hierarchy in class.

In summary, most of the sufferings that are occurring in the world are caused by the belief that there is a high or low among people. If we knew the origin, or God’s intent on creating mankind, we would treat everyone like if they were our brothers and sisters.

Tip of the Writing Brush 12

With the current affairs of the world, the affairs of the country, and the happenings locally, what are God’s thoughts? The following verses are from our sacred book written in the nineteen century.

To God , everyone is my child whoever you may be

Though I have been watching over you with nothing but love. 12-88

And though  each of you throughout the world

has been pondering until now, 12-89

To my sorrow, no matter how deeply you have pondered,

you have no mind to save others. 12-90

From now God request everyone in the world,

to replace your mind firmly. 12-91

To explain what kind of mind it is to be,

it is none other than to save the world single-heartedly. 12-92

Hereafter, if all of you throughout the world

save one another in every matter. 12-93

Know that God will accept that mind

and provide any salvation whatever. 12-94

God created human beings so we can live a joyous life. Verse 12-88 to 12-90 reflects the sorrow in God on seeing the selfishness in the hearts of mankind.

Verse 12-92 to 12-93 tells us that it is an unselfish mind (without greed, arrogance, and self love) that we need to have.

In summary, there is still much change in hearts of mankind that needs to take place  for the joyous life to be realized.  The plight of the world has not much changed since the nineteen century since the original verses were written. What can we do? We need to convey to the world that all mankind was created by God  to live a joyous life.  When mankind truly believe this from his or her innermost hearts, greed, arrogance, hate, anger, and self love will disappear. When these evils disappear, there will be only joy!  Joy in our hearts, and joy finally in God’s heart.

Tip of the Writing Brush 11

In many religions, the occurrence of pain and illness may be associated with God’s retribution for one’s sins. But in our religion, pain and illness are associated with God’s love for his children.

Hereafter, all of you may receive

disorders of the body little by little. 11-2

Whatever disorders you may receive, do not worry,

for there is a great intention in the mind of God. 11-3

Through a disorder may come to the body,

I am making a distinction in each of your minds. 11-4

I shall distinguish those thoughts, which are sincere

from those which are self centered. 11-5

Verse 11-2 an 11-3 states that disorders or illness will be placed on the body, but not to worry because there is a purpose for the occurrence.

Verse 11-4 states that illness and disorder will be placed appropriate to how we are using our minds today (if we have greed, arrogance or self love).

Verse 11-5 states that God distinguishes our minds and shows it to us by disease, disorders or health, so we can ponder and remove these evils (greed, arrogance, and self love) from our minds.

In summary, illness and disease are not punishments from God. They are guidance from the heavens. God may be giving us a preview of our future sufferings. If we ponder over these discomforts, we may be able to sweep these evils from our minds, and create a joyous future.

Tip of the Writing Brush 10

If God is everywhere, what direction do we pray toward? Many religions pray to an object, shrine or location which has some special meaning.  In our religion, there is also an importance and meaning in the location or place we pray toward.

This time, returning to the origin,

God will clearly reveal the whole root of the tree. 10-46

All that God desires is to have the whole world know

the origin of human beings. 10-50

If this truth becomes quickly known to all humankind,

my talks will be understood. 10-51

No matter what talk I teach,

if you do not know the origin, it will not do. 10-52

If only I have taught you the origin clearly,

you will understand everything I say. 10-53

Verse  10-46  refers to the origin as the beginning of mankind. The root represents God’s purpose for the creation of mankind. God created mankind to live a joyous life.

Verse 10-47 thru 10-53  states that only when we can go back and  understand  God’s intentions for the beginning of the world, can we understand God’s truths.

In summary, We pray to the Jiba because it has a special significance. Besides being the location where mankind was created, it represents God’s purpose in creating mankind (to live a joyous life by helping each other).  Without this understanding, we cannot understand God’s truths.

Tip of the Writing Brush 9

Besides believing in God, there is one truth that is as important. This is knowing the “Origin”.

Now that I shall work salvation unknown until now.

it is necessary to make the origin known. 9-29

To teach you things unknown until now,

I shall make the origin beginning Parent clearly known. 9-30

When you come to know the origin beginning Parent clearly,

I shall give you my assurance on anything whatever. 9-31

Verse 9-29 states that for God to work to save us, we must go back to the origin of human beings, and find out why God created mankind.

Verse 9-30  states that for us to further understand God’s teachings, the origin that all mankind was created to live a joyous life must be understood.

Verse 9-31 states that when we truly understand that all mankind was created to live a joyous life, God will answer all our prayers.

In summary,  the understanding that all mankind was created to live a joyous life is one of the most important beliefs in our religion.  If we were to truly believe this,  greed, arrogance and self love will become less frequent.  We would begin to treat everyone like our own children. For our prayer of world salvation, we must firmly believe in the origin for God to answer our prayers!

Tip of the Writing Brush 8

Sometimes we can get away with anything as long as no one catches us. For example, we can steal items, we can be idle at work, and we can cheat people.  But can we deceive God? The following are verses from our sacred book (Tip of the Writing Brush)

The innermost heart of everyone in the world

is all reflected to God. 8-12

Unaware of this, in the human mind

everyone has only self centered thoughts. 8-13

Hereafter, I shall teach you everything

about the true path step by step. 8-14

Verse 8-12 states that God sees our actions, and also our thoughts.

Verse 8-13 states that because we do not realize that God sees everything, we continue to have selfish thoughts, and behave selfishly.

Verse 8-14 states that because we our selfish, God will start to teach us the path to sweep our evils (selfishness) away.

In summary, we can fool people sometimes, but we cannot fool God. God sees our thoughts and actions. Because of our selfishness, God hastens to show us a path that will eliminate the evils (greed, arrogance, and self love) from our hearts. This path starts with our special prayer.
