Is God female?
In the Ofudesaki, God is called, Tsukihi, Oya, and also oba. Oba is translated as Grandmother. Since Oyasama (Miki Nakayama) is the mother of all human beings, God is the Grandmother. God is female? Something to ponder! 『おふでさき』の中で、神は「月日(つきひ)」「をや(親)」、そして「おば」とも呼ばれています。「おば」は「おばあさん(祖母)」と訳されます。おやさま(中山みき)はすべての人間の母であるので、神は「おばあさん」ということになります。神は女性なのでしょうか? 考えさせられるテーマですね!
